First and foremost I would like to thank you for recognizing me as a candidate for the National Honors Society. I hope that you will see me as someone that can bring new ideas and positivity to the group, as well as being open to trying new things and growing within my faith. Including myself in all types of service is very important to me. I am very passionate about helping and bringing joy to others lives when they are in need of it the most. The child I will be observing is Miss S, and her age is 5 years old. I will be observing Miss S in the Language Development which pertains to the Oral Language. I found out from the mother Mrs. K that Miss S. has a stuttering problem when she gets excited. Miss S gets embarrassed most of the time she does it. Mrs. K her mother states that she has to stop Miss. S and tell her to slow down and take her time. Miss S when she takes her time she can talk without the stuttering but she uses 2 word sentences because she is afraid to talk and people make fun of her. Pauley Perrette EPL Pauley Perrette was one of the main stars of the television series NCIS. Pauley starred as the cast member Abby Sciuto from the beginning of the series in 2003 until 2017 when she announced her final series would be ending this year. After fourteen years as the shows forensic analyst, she is moving on to progress in other aspects of acting and pressuring works for charities and civil rights movements. Audience analysis: My audience consists of an elderly, unemployed white woman from West Virginia who has dealt with depression, anxiety and dementia; a younger white couple, of whom, the woman suffers from depression and anxiety due to a car accident as a teenager. She is educated and employed as a director of a mental health facility. The young male was raised in New York City and feels like he has symptoms of anxiety but never formally diagnosed by a professional.

There are four different types of presentation methods they are; Impromptu, Extemporaneous Speaking, Using a Manuscript, and Memorization. Each of the four methods is appropriate in certain situations. Impromptu is a speech that frequently involves no preparation time and forces you to think on your feet.
