All the four students gave me feedback which all had a different perspective regarding my paper and that was very important as it allowed me to see my paper very deep. I used the feedback I got from my peer and changed my first draft, including the format of my paper to APA. The feedback also indirectly helped me to learn more about APA format.
When this class started at the beginning of this semester I was not sure I would learn a lot. The main objectives of this class were fairly simple. There were five main objectives to use and know. They are the following:
Looking back at the amount of writing I’ve done for AP Literature, I can see growth in my understanding of poetry and of literature. There are skills and concepts that I need to focus on and refine as I continue on through the class, but I am confident in the abilities that I have picked up so far.
the appropriate length depends on the journal to which you are submitting, but they are typically
The best advice I could possibly give at this moment is to follow the APA formatting rules. At the beginning of my college experience, I had no idea what APA formatting was, but after practicing the rules and format, I have now seem to understand it, and become a better writer in a way, because it taught me to paraphrase and quote appropriately. Another, advice is to always revise more than once, it’s not all about fixing grammar and punctuation, but to also paraphrase new information and even add a few new discovered details. I believe this can make the paper stronger. As, long as instructions are followed, requirements are met, paper is revised more than once, and all the video lessons and formats are taking into account, I believe it
Is Apa a good man? I wonder this to myself a lot during this book. Some might argue a definite no and go on to say he is a terrible role model and a terrible person. While some might argue there are good qualities and that he goes through so much for his family and perhaps he just shows his love and dedication for his family in a harsh way.
In Honors English III, Mrs. Bryce assigned the class a research project. Although we were allowed to work in groups, all of the writing portions were expected to be done individually. We were allowed do to research on any topic that we wanted. Unlike most papers we had written, this paper would be written in APA format. Some of the work would be done in class, such as the Introduction and Literature Review. However, most of it was expected to be done outside of school. Some additional requirements was that we had a minimum of three data collection sources and three findings from them.
The first principle per the APA code of ethics is beneficence and nonmaleficence, this is where psychologist focus on the do no harm to their patients (APA, 2010, p.2). A psychologist is to strive to provide the best benefit to a potential client or individual they professionally work with and seek to safeguard their welfare and rights. The guarding of welfare and rights is also attributed to animals used in research. Among psychologist, conflicts will arise and should be handled accordingly to minimize harm (APA, 2010, p.2). Due to the possibility that a psychologist’s scientific judgment and actions may affect another’s life, they must be alert of their own personal, financial, social, or political views as they may be misused to influence others. The psychologist also needs to be aware of their own mental and physical health, so they are at their best capability when helping others.
I found the information in the Read section very helpful this week. I never thought about studying and doing school work in a designated spot. I do not know about others, but it is hard for me to study in the same place every time. I have a husband, dogs, kids, and a friend all living in my home it can get very chaotic. When I get home from work I go straight to my bedroom where it is quiet to do my studies, but sometimes my husband wants to watch television in the bedroom. After doing my reading this week I followed the suggestions and I set up a specific spot to study. I also created a weekly schedule so I can manage my time more efficiently. I hope this will help me to be successful with my school work.

I share the same concerns on my writing as you. The APA guidelines are a continuing source of learning of rime. It is a goal of mine to master the APA guidelines. Regarding the course writing assignments I appreciate the Rubics. It serves as a map for me when I am completing my writing assignments. The Rubic also helps with the flow of my papers. When I am writing my assignments I approach my paper as a puzzle and allow the Rubics to serve as my guide. It is easier and less complicated for me to research, write and compile my paper. It may sound a little off but the process works for me. The information in the APA writing guide is extremely helpful. I am able to answer questions regarding my writing by referring the APA writing guide (APA,
My students take the AP Literature and Composition Exam; I have taught the course for four years. The year before I started, student were hand-selected for AP Literature and Composition, and only 9 of 26 students earned qualifying scores (3's or higher). My first year we had just shifted to open enrollment and nearly half of my 50 students were not honors or hand-picked students. Still, our passing percentage inched up from 34 to 36 percent. Numbers keep increasing--I have 70 this year--but our passing percentages are holding steady or increasing slightly, more students overall are earning qualifying scores and, most importantly, more students have access to rigorous coursework that will better prepare them for college whether or not they "pass"
