With millions of people watching, a United States astronaut was televised, setting foot on the moon for the very first time. Some people thought that the moon landing was faked by the U.S.’s desire to beat the union in the Space Race. But facts made by these theories were mere speculation. The moon landing was the only hope for improvement for the future to others. In fact the moon landing mission, Apollo 11 was a hugh breakthrough due to its success of landing on the surface moon and returning back to Earth. Generally speaking Apollo 11 aircraft was occupied by the astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. After all this mission is a matter of life or death, and these brave men stepped up the plate and said they were the ones that were gonna go to the moon. A big source, “Popular Science” found out with all the fuel the the Apollo 11 space module had equipped, it was enough energy to hurl 100 pound shrapnel three miles far. So spectators were placed three and a half miles away from the detonation point. (PopSci. 1) Shown this fact, it proves that America went all out in their Space launch. In fact when they left the moon and planted the flag on the surface it fell over during take off. The flag still lays there, but just won’t stick up like all of us think it does. This moon landing was a significant doing, we managed to have a human step foot on the moon for the very first time. Landing on the moon was a revenge victory against the Soviets in the Space Race. So what the other team (the Soviets) touched the moon first with a droid/robot, we were able to put a man on the moon. We left our footprint on the moon, and that 's something you can’t forge. We went all out with Apollo 11. We didn 't do any test beforehand
