The new school that I am attending is Apollo Career Center, now in the past week around 15 kids have either been kicked out of Apollo, or suspended. Not the mention the kids making trouble off school grounds. So my problem is behavior of students at Apollo.

The mission of the Academic Success Center is to foster academic and personal development and success by providing a cohesive set of support services for students to assist them in achieving their educational goals.

Heartland Career Center offers a Criminal Justice class (CMJ) it is taught by Leroy Striker. The Criminal Justice class is 5 days a week for approximately 3 hours. Students work on projects such as writing papers visiting different places such as different jails, Wabash Co. Miami Co. etc. Criminal Justice allows students to do job shadowing at courthouses, jails etc. Criminal Justice also allows students to earn 12 college credits after passing the course. Criminal Justice is involved with a group known as Skills USA students compete in different categories and Skills USA opens better opportunities for college resumes.

Heartland Career Center offers a Health Science Education program (HSE) taught by Brandi Pennington. The students have this class five days a week and approximately three hours per day. While in this class the students have clinicals which take place in surrounding nursing homes, and the second year students are able to do internships. The class also goes to elementary schools to do height/weight and vision screenings for the community. In this class the students are able to receive dual credit at Ivy Tech and could get a CNA license/certificate by the end of the year.

WIOA requires workforce boards to procure the operator of one-stop centers. The primary role of the NCWorks Career Center Operator (otherwise known as the Operator) is to ensure that services provided through the center meets the needs of customers (business and job seeker) in an efficient and effective manner. It is critical that one-stop operations are unified with the delivery of WIOA services, including WIOA-mandated and non-mandated partner organizations, to all interested job seekers and businesses in all career centers. In addition, the Operator provides management and oversight of the partnership of agencies that comprises Durham’s NCWorks Career Center.

SEEK Careers/Staffing is an employment agency. Their Wisconsin offices are located in Appleton, Eau Claire, Fond du Lac, Grafton, Green Bay, Hudson, Manitowoc, Milwaukee North, Milwaukee South, Oshkosh, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, Waukesha, and West Bend. SEEK Careers/Staffing has also an office in Eagan, Minnesota. The positions they offer include customer service, sales, office support, clerical and administrative, call center, accounting, manufacturing, maintenance technician, warehouse and distribution, and light industrial. SEEK Careers/Staffing has won the 2015 and 2016 Top Work Places awards.

Canyon Springs appealed as an obvious choice to spend the four years cultivating my learning experience. The Leadership and Law Preparatory Academy solely focuses on real life applications that are needed when choosing a career. All three majors: Law, politics, and business heavily influence any profession, even if it does not directly involve any of these majors. I chose this school to help improve myself as a person as well. Confidence, social skills, public speaking, and self-reliance are crucial to have if I wish to do well in real life and in any profession. When I was young I wanted to become a teacher; however, that all changed throughout the years. What had motivated me to become a teacher was all the supplies they had like the whiteboards, the markers, and the construction paper. It seemed fun and interesting to me to have all the supplies. I no longer wish to become a teacher. As I grew older I realized that I wanted to do something that has me going to places, seeing new things, speaking with diverse individuals, and for that reason I chose to be involved in Real estate.

The Sun Also Rises is a novel written by Ernest Hemingway, first published in 1926. Hemingway wrote the novel about a group of American and British expatriates who travel from Paris to the festival of San Fermín in Pamplona to watch the running of the bulls and the bullfights. Hemingway gives the reader a look at the post World War I generation, which included the Lost Generation. Many of the important characters in The Sun Also Rises are simply lost.
