Topic Sentences and Supporting Paragraphs
Topic Sentences
When you write, you form paragraphs. A paragraph is a group of sentences that relate in topic and thought. A paragraph generally consists of three to five sentences and usually begins with a topic sentence. A topic sentence is a general statement that announces what the paragraph is about. By starting a paragraph with a topic sentence, your audience may immediately identify your topic. This construction also helps you, the writer, stay focused on your subject.

Transitions
Transitions are words used to move readers smoothly from one sentence to another or from one paragraph to another. Think of transitions as traffic signals alerting readers to the direction your writing takes, based on the relationship between the ideas within or between paragraphs.

In your essay, it is mandatory to know that the paragraphs are important. Every essay has a main idea, which is also known as a topic sentence. In an essay a paragraph is united and it avoids using excessive information that is not needed. A decent paragraph progresses its main idea. Paragraphs use various rhetorical tactics such as – approaches like organization, comparison, difference, and reason and result. In an essay, numerous writers find it beneficial toward viewing a small and solid paragraph. The main idea is always specified in the start of a topic sentence. | The introductory paragraph provides a preamble, clearly states the essay topic and provides a clear statement of how the argument will be organized.(8.5-10)
The five-paragraph theme was created to be a general teaching tool for inexperience writers. It allows the writers to easily formulate a structure essay. It tells you that you only need three supporting details for your thesis and that each do not need to be in depth. Most teachers say that a paragraph is only roughly 4-5 sentences long. As a result, if every paragraph is short then you’re only writing approximately 20-25 sentences. A writer can easily follow the structure given and finish an essay in a well timely-manner. The model is effective for beginners, but ineffective for professionals (Nunnally).

The male during the excitement phase experiences an increased heart rate, as well as breathing. The male’s penis usually becomes erect during this stage, as it prepares for coitus. Here comes the fatal point. After paragraph 7, the topic word finally come out from paragraph 8, and after paragraph 8 it feels like author are just randomly talking, providing information.
Moreover, a topic sentence always appears on the top of the paper and by using a meaningful topic sentence will help me stay on topic and develop the main ideas without getting off topic. It is a crucial part of writing that clearly tells the reader what I am writing about. In my first, second, and third essay I struggled with coming up with a clear and meaningful topic sentence. I got a feedback from the second essay that I submitted to my instructor MaCaughey, and he said, “You might try for a more creative title”(1). After the feedback from my instructor, I focused on using a creative and meaningful topic sentence for my fourth essay. Furthermore, I got a feedback from the fourth essay that I submitted and it did not say that I needed to come up with a creative title. I learnt that using a creative and meaningful topic sentence would improve my writing skills
Topic paragraph identifies the work and provides the reader with clear short description of the work. It lays out the formal issues; other paragraphs are linked to the thesis by strong topic sentences and a logical arrangement of information
Each paragraph is presented using a topic sentence that clearly indicates the supporting argument for the thesis. The author gives clear examples to back up each point. In the first paragraph,
This was the toughest part for me because I wanted each paragraph to include a topic sentence that tells the reader what your trying to prove in the paragraph. And a lead that includes one sentence to develope and expand; using context and a signal phrase. Then you include a quote that supports the argument in your topic sentence, a analysis that explains how your evidence supports your topic sentence. In addition a transition word that moves to explaining the next example while elaborating the message. Therefore you use this layout two times for each supporting example for each body
In writing an essay I also struggle with incorporating clear topic sentences and connecting my paragraphs ideas back to my thesis statement. This struggle is based on last years’ experience with writing essays. This struggle can be improved upon by concentrating on what exactly my thesis is stating and building my sentences to relate and explain the thesis further. Improving on this will allow my writing ability to increase and help me become a more successful writer.
In the recent article, Appendix may have important function, new research suggests, by Midwestern University, researchers have released new information regarding the importance of the human appendix. New research has suggested that the appendix actually holds beneficial stomach bacteria. Dr. Heather Smith has been researching the appendix for some time now, and she has finally made a huge breakthrough. After examining 533 different species of mammals, Dr. Smith has uncovered that animals with appendix’ have shown a higher concentration in immune tissues in the cecum. This finding points to the theory that the appendix actually acts like a second immune system by housing millions of helpful bacteria. This is still
The human appendix is a part of the digestive tract. It is a blind ended tube, and its base is located in the cecum, approximately 2 cm beneath the ileocecal valve. The purpose of the appendix is unclear. It has traditionally been proposed to be a vestigial organ, but recent studies suggest that the appendix may play an important role in maintaining gut flora.
