Career Bound
I have always been interested in fixing things and trying to make things look better; even as a kid helping my dad in construction projects was so fun. It was my father who passed the trade down to me and the ease to try to work around certain problems. I might not always have made the proper choices within the field but found myself very interested in the work. Yes, I probably did not want to get out of bed to work in carpentry or painting some days but I really enjoy restoring, bringing structures back to life, and even building new ones from scratch. I of course have not built a house just by myself or have all the knowledge and experience required in doing so, but I have worked in many of the different stages of building

I do have a pretty good idea that this field involves some rigorous studying, a lot of math, and understanding of the mechanics and physics of structures and land. I must say that it is a pretty serious and definitively needed job. I’m pretty sure the architect is the one that coordinates with the builders when he does not have builders working directly for him. He is the one that deals directly with the client to express their needs and ideas for their projects, besides making the layout, planning and blueprints to get the job accomplished. The architect is the one that appoints for bidding on jobsites and projects. We can say that the architect is the prime general contractor since he can do all that I mentioned so far; unlike the general contractor who can build and also work directly with the clients, he cannot make the blueprints or specifications for the job! I also think position does require having a lot of updated knowledge on building codes and standards for building that suit the city and nearby or surrounding structures; this must be one of the biggest liabilities for the architect since safety is very important. I do think that the architecture services can be quite extensive. Tough I think that a lot of the work should be fun and challenging, I am not sure about how much fun is document preparations and reviews of detailed work and specifications!
I guess after all the hard work this career would put me through,
