This question is one debated frequently, and it is impossible to reach a full conclusion on the answer. There are many reasons that someone may have an opinion one way or another, or somewhere in between.
Firstly, it is important to understand why people get married in the first place. People get married because they want to commit to their relationship, though there is also an important religious factor for some. Marriage also offers benefits for some that only come into effect when a couple is married. Pressure from families and religious groups also sometimes affects whether people get married.
People’s opinions on the question are varied, and they include that it is imperative to spend a lot of money on a wedding to impress family and friends. This is because the wedding is viewed as an important event, and a way to impress people on the day. Traditionally, the bride’s family may pay for much of the wedding. This may have been saved for for many years as they view it as an important rite of passage.

This means that could easily be done to impress friends and family at a very low price, well below the average. Some people say that the average amount of money spent is reasonable because it is a time of celebration at the beginning of a marriage, and as such is very important. People who disagree with this say that it is the contents of the rest of the marriage (which the couple promise will last the rest of their lives) and not that singular day that
For example, immigrant weddings were an important part of social life unlike the trend of elopement in American marriages (Ewen 235). According to Ewen, "weddings were large, festive affairs in which the ties between the couple, the two families and the larger community were sanctified" (235). Since weddings in America were much more expensive, many Italian and Jewish daughters and mothers went without paying for food, rent, or other pleasures in order to fund a wedding. Many went into debt as well, but they found it "worth the sacrifice" (Ewen, 237). This attitude permeated other social events such as christenings, bar mitzvahs, holidays, and funerals.
Now, of course, this is an opinion question, so the answer is up to you, as well as the evidence to support that answer.
Marriage in Islam is seen as a noble institution which legally unites a man and a woman together. It is needed in human social life because “through marriage, families are established and the family is the fundamental unit of our society. Furthermore, marriage is the only legitimate or halal way to indulge in intimacy between a man and a woman” (IslamicAwareness, n.d.). Besides, there is a verse stated in the Holy Quran regarding the necessity of marriage: “And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves; if they are needy, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.” (Surah an-Nur, 24:32)
He claims that he does not save the enough money to support the family. He told her he is under pressure, and do not want to be forced to get married. In reply, the author told her although the economic market crashed recently, many couples still manage to get married. She must figure out he more cares about her, or more concerned with his own bank accounts. As a grown man, I enjoy the author’s reply and cannot agree with her boyfriend’s behavior. As for me, I will try to give my girlfriend a wedding as good as possible. Maybe it is not the best one, but it is definitely the most precious memory for the bride. Money is not the standard to judge the marriage, and rich is not equal the happiness. All the couples need is love.
Marriage is a special thing in a person’s life. Usually people unite in marriage because of their love for one another and they see something meaningful in that person. There are some marriages, however, where people marry for fame and fortune. Usually these marriages end in disaster resulting in divorce.
The outdated idea about the idea of the “embarrassing detail of the bride’s family shelling out the ten or fifty thousand dollars for the wedding itself”(62). It’s a far stretch to better her position on why she won’t marry.
I believe that marriage is actually good for society, it is the choices that people make that will badly affect a marriage. “Marriage is also the source of more than a thousand federal rights and responsibilities, not to mention cheaper gym memberships, social approval, and all those gifts that arrive on your wedding day”(Essig and Owens 234). Are these the reasons individuals
Marriage is the unity of a man and a woman as partners in a relationship. Generally, a couple would get married due to strong emotional feelings towards each other. This leads to them pronouncing their vows and promises to each other which should last for the rest of their lifetimes. But, in some cases, there are exceptions. Marriage can lead to a separation due to the differences in interests between a husband and a wife.

Dictionary.com defines corporation as an association of individuals, created by law or under authority of law, having a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members. A public corporation is owned and operated by a government, established for the administration of certain public programs. Conglomerate on the other hand is a corporation consisting of a number of subsidiary companies or divisions in a variety of unrelated industries, usually as a result of merger or acquisition (Dictionary.com, 2016). General electric has become a household name since being formed as a lighting company by Thomas Edison in 1890 (smallbusiness.chron.com, 2015).
According to Morey (1901), the city of Carthage was located on the northern coast of Africa. The city was the colony of Tyre and well known as a capital of great commercial empire. The Phoenicians from Tyre migrated and established the city of Carthage along with the native races of Africa the Lydians and the Numidians. Carthaginian government was one of the powerful empires of that era and even compared to Roman government. Carthaginian and Roman governments had many similarities however the command of the army was on the hand of permanent able leaders for Carthaginian whereas it was on the hand of constantly changing civil magistrates for Romans.
Societies that observe bride wealth usually also have stable marriages with little to no incidences of divorce(Nowak, B., & Laird, P. 2010). This is due mostly to the fact that in the occurrence of a divorce, distributing the wealth would be difficult because it is mostly livestock. The responsibility of the wife is to help tend to the livestock as well as household chores and bearing children. They continue to assist in the growth of the civilization by giving birth and they help maintain life by helping with the animals
Peggy Post, of the Emily Post etiquette family, notes that more and more men are attending the bridal shows she hosts around the country, and they 're showing both sense and sensibility. The reason for the change can easily be traced to economics: Because it costs a bundle to get married, more grooms and their families are sharing the bill rather than have it all fall on the bride 's family 's shoulders. Coupled with this is the fact that men are marrying later, so it 's more likely they have jobs that allow them to help pay the costs. These grooms aren 't just pulling out their credit cards and nodding, "Yes, honey, anything you want," says Post. They 're keeping close tabs on where the money is going. But it 's not all moola that 's driving this. This is a new generation of the sensitive bridegroom, like Centanni, who wants to have a say about the readings and hymns, and who cares how his family is included in the celebration. It 's also a generation that strives for peer marriage, where husband and wife communicate as equals. A perfect example, says Post, is that there are more instances of planning a wedding around divorced parents and stepfamilies -- "a challenge that from the start takes good communication between bride and groom." Then there 's the lighter side. As Centanni sees it: "Why should Amy have all the fun? Going to the caterer and tasting the food, that 's fun. And every time we go into a store, I have to go into the kitchen section. Amy
I get married when the time is right but right now I want to know why other people get married. Is it for a movement or for other reasons? Ultimately I going to say it is for love because that’s what I want to do when the time
There are so many things that go into planning a wedding and some people can get carried away. “The Knot”, is considered the number one wedding website, and they have the 2014 wedding study statistics listed. This company surveyed 16,000 United States brides and grooms who were married in 2014, to obtain the following information. “The average bride spent around $1,357 on their wedding dress, which was an increase from the 2013 average, $1,281” Knot (2014). Besides the dress and the engagement rings, the bride and groom have a lot of
