Brandt’s purpose in writing this article was to explore relationships between writing and reading as they emerge in autobiographical accounts of literacy developments. Brant’s three anecdotes stand out in her eyes. They stand out to her because they say complicated things about writing and reading relationships. She also says that typically have not been treated in literature on the subject.Researchers conduct studies about education because they wanted to see how parents help their kids learn how to read, write and learn.Brant conducted her research an audiotaped interview with forty residents of Dane County, Wisconsin. Many people felt like they were alone learning how to write, since many adults didn’t influence writing. People prioritize reading over writing because compared to reading, writing seems to have a less coherent status in collective family life. Many families prioritize to reading not writing because they believe that writing is taught in school not at home. In christmas,the mother of kids would cut stories from the newspaper and paste them onto a paper to read the stories to her children. During christmas other children have the memory of reading the bible before eating, the bible they read was passed down to them from their grandmother. Many remember reading as a sensual and emotional pleasure, and writing as pain. Many descried that they would wrote when they were in a hospital bed, a garage and a tree house. Many people with PhDs don’t encourage their children to write as much as they do with reading even though they have a high degree in education.
