Argument 1: I agree with this line. Most movies want to shock people by putting in rape scenes but it isn’t always essential for the story. The director illustrated the fact that there doesn’t have to be unnecessary rape scenes in every revenge film to be a good film. We can understand the pain of the women who suffered a lot because the story is well written.
Argument 2: The ‘bad quality’ footage throughout the film wasn’t so bad. The footage had a to look like a home video and home videos aren’t always in high definition. It made the film realistic, so it didn’t bother me that there wasn’t always a clear picture. Because of the realistic background story/footage, it made me believe that the film could have really happened.
