CONSERVATIVE PARTY The conservative are a group that focuses more on profit from businesses then they do in environmental protection. They are motivated by personal profit and will do anything to secure they share. They cash off the land in using to many natural resources and making billions of dollars. They don’t care about what gets in the way or if anyone gets hurt, they only cares if they get what they want. With this that is why nothing would change in Avatar if the conservative party found a planet like Pandora. They would see an opportunity to harvest any new materials like unobtainium there and would sell it back to earth. They would send troops and businessmen to the planet to uncover valuable materials and sell back to the people
All these claims that liberals want to disarm citizens really diminishes the conservative's position. It's important to first note that I'm not loyal to any party. I vote for people, not parties. In my opinion, both of the major parties have failed America. They put their battles between the two parties ahead of what is best for the country.
To what extent do traditional conservatives and the New Right differ in their views on society?
Although the founding fathers advised against the establishment of “political factions” as the Constitution was going through the ratification process, which was the split between the men in President George Washington’s cabinet. Their initiative was to move toward the idea of political party. By the end of the of the first decade, the existence of the United States under its current constitution, a two-party system, had began. Although these two political entities were steadfast in their initials ideals, both parties had to modify some of their original positions on various issues as they faced the reality of governance.
The New Right is sociological perspective which goes against the ideas of collectivism. The Conservative Government had noticed that the welfare state was costing too much money and people were being reliant upon it. The New Right are for hard-working workforce and people fending for themselves rather than living off the state. They say that benefits encourage people not to work. If there was less welfare benefits it would make people want to go and work as the need to get money. The New Right is for privatization as it believes that private institutions provide better quality and are more beneficial to customers in comparison to the public sector. The New Right also talks about how if there was there was less state intervention, the government
The steadfast conservatives to me are similar to the kkk they don't care what their views are towards people they will say and do what they want. I agree with this because i do they same i like to speak up to what's right and i'm not as brainwashed as most people that are with the democratic. People that vote for the democratic party are usually people with welfare and financial aid and all that bullcrap. People that are lazy get all that stuff from the government.
Since 1979 the conservative party has undergone significant changes from the traditional conservative party which focused on ideas about human nature, order and pragmatism, first with new right conservatism under Thatcher then with the current conservative party. The current conservative party however, can be seen to still be committed to its traditional conservative principles such as Euro-scepticism and that they remain largely traditionalist. However there are many ways in which the conservative party has changed such as taxation, education and the welfare state.
In the 1890’s a third political group, called the Populist Party, formed to achieve broader political representation(Study.com). The new party consisted of farmers, labor leaders, and reformers; they felt the political system shorted them for their hard work and accomplishments. Populist believed in restricted immigration, shorter work days and voting reforms. This party believed in a fairer treatment in labor and politics, and they had rightful justification.
The Liberal Party's membership of Canada is committed to the fundamentals that have developed and sustained the Liberal Party from any other political party; individual freedom, responsibility and human dignity in the framework of a just society; political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all interested persons, and the Constitution and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms provides the framework for both a democratic society and for the interaction of members within the party. It is also devoted to equal opportunity for every person, to the enhancement of our unique and diverse cultural community, to the recognition that English and French are the official languages of Canada, and to the preservation of the Canadian identity
Now i know the vast majority of people I'm friends with on Facebook are in the same pool of thought on all of this as me but I just needed to write this - apologize in advance for it being long but trust me, it's a worthwhile read smile emoticon
The People’s Party, also known as the Populist, were a group of people in 1891 that established a movement. They were called Populist because they believed in the well being of people. Composed of farmers from each section of the United States, many Populist thought that they were at their peak and thought to be destined for greatness. Many Populist wanted reform in the Governmental policies because gold was more valuable than crops. Demands were made by the group, such as, 8-hour work days, abolishing of national banks and income tax.
The Know Nothing group had gotten its name from when its members would deny their affiliation by saying “I know nothing”
During the time of the Progressive Era, the Populist Party made tremendous gains in the political and social aspect of American society. Discontent with the economic and political way the country was structured, the Populists sought to reform the government using a system of initiative and referendum. As a form of direct democracy, initiative and referendum was a way to give the power back to the people by utilizing local and state governments. The first part of the reform was the initiative, which is usually a petition signed by a number of voters to bring about a public vote and opinion on a certain amendment, both state and constitutional. This initiative eventually sets the path for the referendum, which is when the proposed law is enacted.
In a political atmosphere where it is easy to be grouped up in either conservative or liberal, it is harder to see such an easy split more and more each day. Non-traditional candidates are now emerging into the political arena that in prior elections would have been scoffed at. Whether we are talking about the unusually high polling Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson, the Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders or the Authoritarian Republican Nominee, Donald Trump, It is getting harder and harder to ignore the rise they are having. The two major political parties will have to adapt to these emerging ideologies or face the threat of the dreaded “third party”.
In 1824, John Quincy Adams became the 6th president of the United States. The candidates of the 1824 election were John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, and William Crawford. All four of them were part of the same political party, Democratic-Republican. The two main candidates were Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. John C. Calhoun was elected vice president with a majority of the votes.
The British Conservative Party in 1935's main concerns were peace and defense. They understood that the League of Nations would play a huge role in both supporting and strengthening their goals in these two subjects. The League of Nations was the center of British foreign policy and the first interest of the citizens of Britain. The recent problems between Italy and Abyssinia only heightened the need for the League of Nations. They did not want to repress back into their old system which resulted after the Great War. The needs of national defense and the fulfillment of international obligations were the measurements of the national armaments by the Covenant. The Commonwealth of the United Kingdom and the British Empire played influential parts
