Do you think you would be safe if no one had a firearm? Well you wouldn't because if private ownership of guns was not allowed; how would someone defend his or her family or their property from someone trying to steal or kill them. There's a man we are going to talk about, where one day he was in his house sleeping when he woke up to a large crash. His first thought was to check on his daughter so he grabbed his home defense weapon a colt .38 revolver. After he retrieved it and made sure his daughter was safe, he told her to call the cops. He left her and went to see what the noise was. When he got down stairs he saw that someone had broken in. So he told whoever was there that he had a gun. After that he heard a large thud and saw a shadow but he did not fire. After that he went back to his daughter to get her and take her outside where he waited for the police. What if he did not have that gun, what would he have done? What would he …show more content…

ORYX are the team behind the Da de los Muertos, which is a mystical themed slot, and one which features rather poor graphics, if we’re being brutally honest. How mystical? Well, the slot is actually closely linked to the “Day of the Dead” celebrations in Mexico. Da de los Muertos features your usual 5-reel setup, upon which sit a total of 15 paylines. The overcomplicated wagering bar towards the bottom of the screen will allow you to take total control over how your bets are constructed in this weird slot. Coin sizes of 0.01 up to 1.00 can be selected, with up to 10 coins per line possible. What you are looking at with Da de los
This article is called “The Case For Banning Guns”. This article is an opinion of an author name Paul Waldman. He believes that we should ban all guns from private hands. “Over 30,000 Americans die every year, and tens of thousands more are either injured or paralyzed from mass shootings or homicides,” said the article. The article also says,”There are about 300 million guns in this country alone.” He also believes America would be safer if the government constructed gun laws like the countries Europe or Asia. Where private gun ownership is relatively rare and is strictly regulated.
Macbeth is a tragedy written by Shakespeare roughly between the years 1603 and 1606. It was a play written following the death of Queen Elizabeth. Shakespeare and his associates soon into their career became known as the King’s men. The Kings ancestry was traced back to Banquo, a character from the play.

Almost 2.5 million people are robbed every year. Although that number is slowly decreasing, that number will guaranteed go up if the people are denied guns. Think on it, an armed robber breaks into your child's room. Do you sit in your room and
According to The Second Amendment of the Constitution, the citizens of the United States have the right to own and bear arms, in order to form a well-regulated militia for the security of the states. This right has been discussed for decades as an important issue for the American society, and it has been one of the most controversial issues in the second half of the twentieth century until nowadays. This right germinated with the threat to freedom that the standing army of professional soldiers brought to the Americans. Some argued that the right to bear arms is mainly concerned with self-defense while others argued that this right was implemented to avoid militia disarmament and protect the Free State. This right was
When tragic, major events happen in the United States, you can always expect an argument or something to unfold about how to prevent something similar from happening again. On October 1st, a man named Stephan Paddock, shot and killed 59 people including himself, while injuring an additional 546. This shooting is now considered the deadliest attack in United States history, so of course you can expect an ongoing political conversation on how to prevent attacks like this. During the attack, Paddock used what is called a “bump stock,” on many of his guns, making his guns’ rapid fire, like an automatic gun, which is what made it so easy for him to open fire and attack so many. After the tragic event, a gun control organization looked into the
Taking away guns from a country boy is like taking candy from a kid, it’s just not right! More often than not there are posts on social media about how “Obama is taking my guns.” Furthermore, Obama is not going to take your guns! President Obama talked about creating a stricter, safer environment. This topic often gets people fired up. Have you ever heard someone say that it is their right to own guns? They are referring to the Second Amendment and the Right to Bear Arms.
Teachers are very intelligent most of the time, but could they decide whether or not when to use a firearm? Lately, there has been a debate about whether or not to arm teachers with weapons because of all of the shootings. Teachers shouldn’t be armed because guns can cause serious damage, we need to get rid of guns, not prepare for the use of one, and professionals even fail sometimes.
Since the late 1980’s, gun violence has been growing into a national problem. Gun violence is quickly spreading across the nation and onto news broadcast stations. However, it has not been taken seriously until it did become a nationwide event. After a police officer knocks on your door to disclose the situation regarding your son or daughter was murdered by a gunshot wound, a mother grieves, and cries out,” Not my child!” Families of victims never want to expect to see gun violence overtake their family. Families demand answers and ask,” Why would they want to harm my child?” Over time, we have seen numerous victims, advocates, group leaders and survivors of anti-gun organizations attempt to raise awareness towards the issue of gun violence.
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.” This statement, endlessly quoted and debated and parsed, stands as one of the fundamental pieces of the Bill of Rights. Countless debates on the national level have tried to decipher what exactly the “right to bear arms” means. When more and more innocent people are being killed at the hands of gun violence, it is time to evaluate our current lack of restrictions and checks on guns in the United States. The lack of restrictions on guns coupled with the fact that ordinary citizens can own assault rifles and military-grade weapons is an impetus for the gun violence that has become seemingly ubiquitous in the past years. The United
‘“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”’ (“Gun Control”) Due to firearms, more than 30,000 people die in America every year. Mass shootings happen frequently and people die because of the lack of laws and their security. The United States needs better gun control laws because automatic assault rifles are easy to buy, the mentally ill can purchase guns, and many die from guns each year.
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” ("The Constitution of the United States," Amendment 2) This is the second amendment in the bill of rights. It clearly reads that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This was put in by our forefathers, the men who built this country. This amendment, and belief in the right to bear arms was extremely important to them, as well as the american people.
“The second amendment of The United States Bill of Rights is my concealed weapons permit, period.”- Ted Nugent. Saving lives one by one starts with limiting the purchase, sale, and use of guns in America. According to Alexander Lee, the political and social debate over the question of how much gun control is appropriate and it has been regularly discussed within the last decade. Shootings such as Sandy Hook, and Tucson shootings have raised the government’s awareness on guns and possible restrictions and regulations. Gun talks are discussed with the question, “Will controlling guns cut back on violent crime rates?” Although many guns are open to be sold to the public over 18, there are traditional gun laws that limit who can own them. These laws include sell restrictions to the mentally disabled, the age in which you can obtain a gun, background checks, and dishonorably discharged military personnel. Gun control laws could have a positive effect in America by reducing homicide rates, but at the same time, citizens still have the right to bear arms under the second amendment under the U.S constitution. Gun control laws do not mean the absolute confiscation of guns, but rather reduce the amount of power a gun and the amount of ammo that a gun can hold.
