Donald Trump. Everyone knows who he is, fancy businessman, television star, and the republican presidential nominee. When Trump announced his intention to run for president, everyone was shocked, to say the least. He was a successful businessman, how far could he get? So many people thought that he wouldn’t make it, and for good reason too. Donald Trump, with all due respect, is a successful businessman who needs to stay where he is and not try to get himself into something that he can’t handle. How do we expect a man who has had multiple business bankruptcies to not do the same to our country?

Both Hillary and Donald have some views that are similar, but also some that are very different. I guess that in the end, it’s up to the voter to decide which is the best for the nation, but with both sides, there should be an opinion that makes more sense for the happiness and safety of our great nation. Take gun control for example, with the recent school shooting at an elementary school in South Carolina, this is an urgent conversation for our country. Trump has said that if he becomes commander-in-chief, he won’t touch gun control, saying that every American has their second amendment right, and he will punish the criminals that use the weapons in a harmful manner more harshly. But wouldn’t it be easier if you stopped the crime at the source? If Clinton is announced president, she says she will expand background checks for those who want to buy a gun, revoke gun dealing licences from those who sell guns illegally, and work to keep guns out of the hands of violent criminals, the mentally ill, and domestic abusers. If this plan succeeds, there will be significant decrease in violent crimes, like gang activity, terrorist attacks, and even school shootings due to the process of owning the gun becoming a longer and more in-depth process.
