I think black lives matter because they're no different than other races there just a different skin color but they are the in the same in the inside also Cops are shooting them for no reason, white people a bombing their houses,Trump says bad thing about black people, The KKK were killing black people.
Some folks say and support “Black Lives” and others, “All Lives”. As time go on, things take a turn ‘for the worse’. The ‘turn for the worse’ is due to the mindset of many people and the mass media. With time should come justice, peace and common ground on what is happening, but what if no one is supportive or have no knowledge of what is to come? The saying of “All Lives Matter” is deleterious and ruinous to the “Black Lives Matter” movement and support and to the black community by deteriorating their beliefs, livelihood, and mentality.
One night in a Florida gated community a young man named Trayvon Martin, was walking down the streets of a mostly white community, stopped by George Zimmerman who was a neighborhood watch resident.Mr. Martin was stopped for being “suspicious” and “up to no good” according to Mr.Zimmerman. Trayvon was fatally
When you hear “Black Lives Matter” someone else will try to refute your argument with “All Lives Matter.” The context of “Black Lives Matter” is not that other lives don’t have worth. The context of “Black Lives Matter” is that the value of black lives remains under assault in the United States. When people say, “Black Lives Matter,” they are acknowledging an important context that involves several centuries of slavery, civil rights, mass incarceration and brutality. It highlights the value of black lives because historically, this country often ignored that value. The problem with saying “All Lives Matter,” it that it ignores the context. There is a difference between saying something is true and something is relevant. For example, it’s like going to a Cancer fundraiser and screaming ‘There are other diseases too!’ Or when a parent says,” I love my son,” you don’t say “What about your daughter? Don’t you love all your children?” When a person says, “Black Lives Matter” we should not say “All Lives Matter.” It is an attempt to diminish the ongoing reality of white supremacy in America. It’s a demeaning way of other people’s stories. And yes, some people associate themselves with #blacklivesmatter have called for police deaths. But the cries of few groups do not invalidate an entire
Pro-life All lives matter even the ones that are waiting to begin. Abortion is “the intentional termination of a pregnancy in the early stages”. Many people have different views on abortion. some believe that the mother can choose, and others believe that it is not any person’s choice about the life of the child. For example pro-choice is to be willing to let the mother’s decide what they want to do about the child that is growing inside them because it is their body. On the other hand pro-life is to be against letting mothers take the lives of their unborn children. Abortion has many effects on the human body, because it is not a natural sequence taking place within the mothers body. There are many other options than abortion, and abortion could be eradicated in this generation if women and families are given proper support.
In 2012, a 17 year-old unarmed black boy was gunned down in Florida while walking home from a gas station after getting snacks. The murder of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, FL by George Zimmerman received attention around the nation. Zimmerman was eventually put on trial for Martin’s death, but was acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter, which began the hashtag BlackLivesMatter. The official website, blacklivesmatter.com, describes it as “an ideological and political intervention in a world where black lives are systematically and intentionally targeted for demise. It is an affirmation of Black folk’s contributions to this society, our humanity and our resilience in the face of deadly oppression” (Black Lives Matter, n.d.). The hashtag quickly transformed into a movement in 2014 after the deaths of Michael Brown, John Crawford III and Eric Garner. All three were unarmed black men killed by police who were eventually acquitted for their murders. The Black Lives Matter movement is a call-to-action to encourage people to fight against the racial inequalities endured by black people and stand against the expectations of normality defined by white supremacy. Many have tried to debase this movement by saying that all lives mater and all lives are important. Though the Black Lives Matter Movement may be “pro-black”, it does not mean it is being anti-white or
“All Lives Matter” hasn’t brought people together,” says Daniel Victor in his “Why ‘All Lives Matter’ Is Such a Perilous Phrase” article in The New York Times. The term “All Lives Matters” has caused a bigger rift between different ethnic groups than intended. The phrase was initially intended to bring
In 2013, a movement called Black Lives Matters was started after George Zimerman was found not guilty of the murder of Trayvon Martin. Many Americans complain again the injustice and rallied together to form the Black lives matter movement. The Black lives matter movement though has many issues within their movement, but the main issue is that the people of the movement are segregating themselves from other races whenever they say the words “black lives matter”. That’s why the phrase “All lives matter” has come about. The term “All Lives matter” is stating that people of this movement care about all people instead of just one color, that the movement does not support the supremacy of a race & Radical Organization, and show that the police force is not discriminative towards any one race.
Black lives matter! There have been so many black lives that have been taken this year. Black on black crimes vs white on white crimes are important to acknowledge. Yes, all live matter but African Americans matter more than others. It’s important to acknowledge the situation involving Alton Sterling, an African American who sold CDs and got shot severally because of a misunderstanding. It’s also important to acknowledge the case involving Dylann Roof, a Caucasian who killed 9 people and is still alive. Then, there’s the questions we ask ourselves: why is there mistreatment and brutality coming from police officers? Why do people stereotype African Americans? These are questions we ask ourselves and these are questions that need to be answered.
Black Lives Matter In recent years, a movement by the name of “Black Lives Matter” began to promote that black lives matter against police brutality and injustice. African Americans have faced inequality ever since they came to America. Inequality for blacks was somewhat resolved in the 1960s, but it is still
Police brutality We have all heard the saying “black lives matter”. all lives matter regardless of your ethnicity, but to the public eye police officers have been targeted by the public because african americans believe they are being victimized by the cocasion race, causing protests and riots throughout the world. For
On the opposite side of the debate many people believe that the movement and phrase Black Lives Matter is wrong and racist itself. They feel that having a movement that only representing one race saying that only their lives matter is not right when all lives matter. Although all lives matter it is redundant. We know that all lives matter but police violence and police brutality disproportionately affect the African American communities not the others. So since all lives matter why is it that justice and laws cannot be applied equally to African Americans? Because racism never dead in America it just has been sugarcoated and done under handedly but by having a movement just as Black Lives Matter it will expose the officers that have using abuse their authority among the African American communities.
In the black lives matter category, the black community stands up for the thought of hate crime towards their race. “Today’s racial-justice movement demands an end to the disproportionate killing of black people by law-enforcement officials and vigilantes, and seeks to root out white supremacy wherever it lives,” (McClain). There have been many reported and news broadcasted shootings from cops upon young black males, which is giving the community reason to come together and stand with what they believe. Black lives matter
Black Lives Definitely Matter, but Not To Most Officers For most of history African-Americans have been physically and mentally abused by others, but in the past decade people enforcing the law have left us speechless. Some police officers use their positions and privileges to treat black people unfairly. We have seen hundreds of cases of African-Americans getting arrested, shot, tortured, and killed for no valid reason.
In the article “The Problem with Saying All Lives Matter”, Tyler Huckabee (2015) states that it’s decreasing the relevant of “All Black Lives” and represents a complete misunderstanding of the phrase “Black lives Matter. He acknowledges the view that people are not decreasing the relevant truth of “All Black Lives Matter”, but the emphasis of his argument is to educate people who don’t see the flaw and what the outcome of this movement may be in result. He provides an example of, a 17-year-old boy named Trayvon Martin, who was fatally shot while he was walking back from a convenience store. Due to this incident, three women named Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors and Opal Tometi (Founders of BLM) began tweeting #blacklivesmatter, it had transformed
