Pretty scary right? It’s amazing what you can do to a People magazine cover with a new Snapchat filter. As the 2016 presidential election looms, morale can tend to get dragged down as the candidates harp on the negative issues America faces. However, as a fan of John Oliver and his satirical humor, his Donald Drumpf skit resonated with me. It ignited an idea to utilize this humor and my own political views to make light of the gloomy outlook some can have on America with this Twitter Webcard and promotional campaign using the Twitter Ads feature: John Oliver's ingenious skit on #DonaldDrumpf drove me to think, could we survive under him? https://t.co/0uSoKw9yUE — Griffin Psaila (@gpsyr4) April 4, 2016 The objective of my campaign was
In Prep by Curtis Sittenfeld, Holden would like Lee because she is a predictable person. For instance, she is predicted to do anything anybody asks her to even though if she does not like it or promised that she would never do it again because she puts peoples’ needs before her own. For instance, “And this was it, the last time: I was retiring from cutting hair” (158). This shows that Lee is retiring from hair cutting because she felt disgusted by Aspeth and Cross’ behavior. They were flirting in front of her when Lee was cutting Aspeth’s nasty blond hair. “My hair desperately needs cutting” (164). This shows that Lee is predictable because after she vowed that she would not cut anybody’s hair anymore, she cut Ms. Moray’s hair a few days after

With social media at the people’s disposal, users are able to share their thoughts and to keep up to date with current events. Its no surprise to find issues trending on social media every now and then; this year’s election was no exception. Politics are without a doubt a greatly debated topic. Millions of post and articles taking sides flew all across social media; some were true while others were not. A supposed satire letter written by author C.S. Lewis became popular throughout social media during the campaigns. Letter is as followed:

The title of the show I watched was Join or Die, a part of the John Adams series shown on HBO in 2008. The director of this series was Tom Hooper, who won an Emmy Award in 2006 for his directing of another miniseries. The major stars of Join or Die in the John Adams series were: Paul Giamatti (playing John Adams), Laura Linney (playing Abigail Adams), and Danny Huston (playing Samuel Adams). This series gives insight into John Adams’ life in a modern perspective.

Forty-one-year-old Oregon medical marijuana patient Kristie Groce of Portland is no stranger to adversity. Kristie has suffered immeasurably with numerous medical illnesses and injuries over the years. She had even been written off as terminal and placed on hospice care at one point. Despite the mortal diagnosis, Kristie is now thriving in ways she had never dared to dream of due, in her mind, to the healing properties of cannabis. Cannabis has not only given Kristie her life back, but now she has learned she is creating a new life, something she was told would never happen.
In this essay Buckley aims to convince his readers that America is too lazy to even mention their own predicaments. He then goes on to explain Americans passive acceptance of circumstances. In doing this he uses several anecdotes based on his past, using careful diction and to keep his audience engaged he sprinkles in rhetorical questions.
Well being a seventeen year old black female from St.Louis, there isn't much that I can't remember from the infamous Mike Brown case that shook the World. I've always been someone that's really passionate about social issues like violence in inner cities, the death penalty, women's rights when it comes to abortion, and many other things. But the thing that I'm probably most passionate about, even since I was a little girl was criminal reforms and solving the problem of there being so many Black and Hispanic young men in this country's prisons. And ultimately wanting to give young black and brown men a better image, letting the world know that they are more than just a statistic. So when Mike Brown was fatally shot, back in 2014, it really hurt

In contrast, many people and organizations have argued that Walmart is not holding true to their original sustainable commitments. According to the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, Walmart's greenhouse gas emissions have continued to grow over the last 10 years, and it’s percentage of renewable energy is inadequate compared to other major corporations. Stacy Mitchell, the author of the report and a senior researcher at the Institute believes that the core issue behind Walmart’s lack of action is that they will not change their unsustainable business model to make sustainable advancements. She says that, "Walmart has a highly unsustainable business model, built on shipping goods long distances, selling mountains of very short-lived products,
The main reason for me to pick Jamie Oliver’s website is the clean design and arrangement of content. Except of the images, the page concentrates on very few colours. The main menu consists of white font and a myrtle green, while another, darker green presents one of the very few advertisements, which is Oliver’s Christmas Cookbook. Green as a colour is most often associated with nature and freshness, two attributes that are related to food in a positive manner. The subtitle font underneath the images is black. The main menu on the top of the page is well structured and the fact that hoovering the cursor over the section titles expands the particular menu without clicking is a convenient factor. The connection to social media is easily findable, while the use of a symbol for every different account is an elegant solution. The only thing I am missing in the menu is an “about us” page.
Bernie Gallow was an honorable person and Good man aged 58, so it was quite shocking for a man who was thought to have no enemies killed. The only thing to find more shocking was who was responsible for it. This case was in 2011 in the town of Aurora. Bernie was an Auburn high school graduate of 71 and a graduate of Cayuga Community College as well. Bernie was a sheriff’s deputy for 28 years, a former marine for four years, a former volunteer fire fighter, and a hockey couch in auburn. He had three children and was married when he died, many remember him as a hero which is what he was and what he accomplished for this county will always stand as is. Bernie was born on January 11th 1953 and died on March 11th 2011.
