This year you have my daughter, Nora Menard, as your student. Good luck. Nora is a spirited child who will often bite anyone near her who is being obnoxious. Please, do not make the mistake of calling her Norma. She has been called Norma way too many times in the last two weeks, it's unreal. If Nora is called Norma again, she might change her name to Ava. No-one ever messes up the name Ava. Nora works better alone and when she can listen to music. Please try to not give Nora any homework. She often freezes up when faced with an assignment. (unless it's artistic.) Today, Monday, she spent five hours doing Math and Science
By being firm with the students, Ms. Lindberg will reduce the rudeness these kids are giving her. You can’t be nice one minute and mean the next. Ms. Lindberg needs to be firm all the time. Raising your voice only further frustrates the teacher. She has to be relaxed but at the same time mean business. She cannot let her frustrations show. Ms. Lindberg needs to be sure to remain calm at all times. I think that if she feels her frustration showing, she could use breathing techniques to help her relax and calm herself down. While using breathing techniques to relax and being as firm as possible, Maggie should be able to be more confident that she has been in the past.
The rooms were inviting, and the students were engaged in learning. I quickly noticed that having a positive, and inviting classroom environment is of upmost importance for successful student learning. As the students walked through the second grade classroom they were greeted with a hug. When the students’ finished their morning work, the chimes signaled the students to line up, and transition to their first class of the day which is Science. This is where I was able to observe both Mrs. Stanford, and Mrs. Taylor
“We need to talk about your daughter's performance,” my homeroom teacher, Mrs. Nelson, baldly admitted to my father. “She, no doubt, is a wonderful student,” she beamed at me, yet her smirk did not seem to reach her black, stern eyes, “she has perfect attendance, always has assignments and homework done, never talks unless called on, and just in whole, a polite and good-natured, young lady. But, she is still struggling immensely. As a result, I deem that it would be

I have had the pleasure of teaching Fantashia Felder during her sophomore year. It is because of students like Fantashia that I prefer teaching tenth grade over any other. What makes this year so special is that teachers can truly see the transformation of their students from children, to young adults. It's a pivotal moment in a child's life where they must decide if they want to become focused on their academic and professional careers or become super apathetic. Fantashia chose to turn her life around and I am so happy I was able to witness such a beautiful transformation.
"Ruth is a sensitive and studious African American. Ruth’s mother has been serving Sam Hallowell and his family since before the birth of her sister. Sam Hallowell has been the background voice on TV for a long time. Rachel, Ruth’s older sister, and Ruth were born poor and their father left them before Ruth’s birth. Since Ruth is lighter than Rachel in skin tone, she has always been given favors and priority over her older sister. Rachel changed her name to Adisa when she grew up and embraced her African American roots more than Ruth.

In the bible The Book of Ruth follows the story of the widowed Naomi and her two widowed daughters-in-law, Orpah and Ruth. Throughout the story, the three experience life during biblical times. Although the time frame of this particular passage of the bible is widely debated amongst scholars, most believe that it took place during the Period of the Judges. Through reading about these ordinary people, one can tell that their everyday life was generally uneventful. People often worked in fields to provide for their families and for generations to come. The women of the Book of Ruth lived simple lives, placing high value on loyalty to the family, the continuation of family lines, and marriage.

In the semi-finals of the 2017 US Open, Venus Williams will go face to face with Sloane Stephens. Both African-American women are playing in a very sensitive time in the country where racial tension appears to escalate all over the nation.
TJ lives hard and plays harder. Since Wilder made it big, he’s a huge star with fancy cars and fancier parties. But one late night and one too many land him in the hospital with spinal injuries he may not recover from.
Today was sad day as it was my last day with Mrs. Freeman’s 5th grade class. The class was at recess playing soccer and basketball. We went inside and worked on the integrated unit they were working on an article written by a slave owner who was looking for its slave that had run away. They talked about how it was intriguing, disturbing, interesting, and confusing. They were put into groups to figure out different questions to ask or what they wanted to know more about the advertisement. The second group came in and they started to work on a worksheet that talked about the primary source and how they would know if it was an advertisement. They worked on the different questions they would want to have answers to. The students really got stuck
