However, conservatives argue that unborn babies are human beings and that abortion is taking their lives, which is murder. This person has unalienable rights the same as everyone else. Abortion is deliberately ignoring the sacredness of life.
In the occasion of rape and incest, proper medical care can assure that a woman will not become pregnant. Abortion punishes the innocent child; instead, it is the rapist that should be punished. Those who choose abortions are often young women without appropriate life experience to understand fully what they are doing, since brain development isn't complete until at least the age of 25. Many have lifelong regrets afterward and are more likely to suffer from psychological damage. Women who undergo an abortion have an increased risk for severe depression and have significantly higher anxiety levels within the next five years following the procedure. Out of 173,000 American women, those who aborted were 154% more likely to commit suicide than those who did not. A study published in the British Medical Journal reported that the average yearly suicide rate among women who had an abortion was 35 per 100,000 and a Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology study of men whose partners had abortions found that 52% of the men expressed regret, 45% felt sadness, and 26% experienced depression.

The lack of women putting their children up for adoption caused the number of United States infant adoptions to drop from about 90,000 in 1971 to 18,000 in 2007. According to the United States Department of Health and Human Services, 2.6 million American women were trying to adopt children as of
When agreeing to the ideology that all lives matter, an individual at one point in their life must come to terms with a concept of a living being inside a womb. As to restate, many reflect and use propaganda towards the saying ‘all lives matter’ as race, culture, and even religion. Despite that fact, many do not strongly oppose to the idea of diminishing a life that has not even begun yet. Furthermore, the question on if a person truly believes that everyone must have the right for a chance to live has come to standard when debating on rather not they are pro-life or pro-choice. In other words, if one may agree or disagree with abortion that conflicts with how one may interpret how humans are free, this case being towards women and a fetus

This newborn, was not even her husband’s, but the new mother did not have a choice. The man in the ally took everything away from her. She did not have a choice then. She considered taking the little fetus out was going to be so easy, but now sitting here, in this little hospital bed, holding this precious crying bundle of life, it was never her choice to do the same to her baby. To take everything away from her child. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She could not take everything from someone who did not even have the voice to say otherwise. Taking the life away from unborn baby is not someone else’s, choice it is theirs.
Adoption was not recognized in the United States until the late 1800s and was put into place in 1851. Since the beginning when adoption was put into place, adoptions have increasingly became a more unique way of creating a family. According to Marvin Olasky, adoption is an alternative to abortion and single parenting (Opposing Viewpoints: Adoption 32). Although adoption may put strain on the lives of those going through the process, it is a far better choice than abortion. In the United States, an abortion costs anyway from $0 to $950, the big range of price all depends on your insurance, income, where you live, the type of abortion, and how far along the woman is in her pregnancy. Taking the cheap way out of giving birth to a baby is a mistake. You are killing the life of a child that had no opportunity to live in this world just because a parent wasn’t ready or didn’t want to give birth (Parenthood). Adoption goes unnoticed in this world because people may think it is too expensive and that can be true. Although it is expensive, you are saving the lives of children who may have not had the opportunity to speak for themselves. “Adoption is viewed as a successful society solution for problems confronting children whose biological parents could not or would not provide for them,” (Brodzinsky). The whole process comes with choosing which type of adoption is best, that includes open and closed adoption.
Abortions are unconstitutional; it's equivalent to killing someone you can physically touch. I understand unborn babies aren’t fully developed from the beginning. Meaning we don’t look like humans, instead we look like a mixture of human and an insect. But just because we start off as embryo/fetus and grow more and more until we look like human beings. With that being said unborn babies/fetus are protected by the constitution in the
Living in the United States for many years women have had limited rights . Many felt like women cannot hold their own , but that was never the case .Through the women’s movement women have created many opportunities such as voting , holding their own career without people feeling like they were trying to be smart . As women we have the right to a child and also have the choice of abortion . After , Women worked so hard for theses rights it would be unconstitutional to take them away the fact that women have the right to abortion. We, the negative team , believe the affirmative team will attack us on abortion being murder , women who lay down has to take responsible for the child , and the health of the mother .
Abortion is a serious topic that people have been debating about for years. Everywhere you turn the topic of abortion presents itself, on TV, in the newspapers, in books and magazines. It already has, and will continue to cause, controversy for years to come. As long as abortion remains legal, pro-life advocates will continue to protest what they believe to be these horrible acts of murder.
The barrier that is being constructed between the differing sides of the abortion movement based mainly on misconceptions of the community and action. These false accusations are then being thrown back into the faces of women, thus proclaiming they should not be able to make such rash choices. If society were to take time and examine the facts and statistics they could see that women need to be given the choice in the matter, for it is their body. Once again, the idea that mental issues are increased by abortion is brought up. As discussed before, the only increase of mental health issues, was in women who were denied the procedure of abortion. Unlike many ideas that abortions causes mental unwellness (Belluck). This common misconception must
Judith Jarvis Thomson writes a paper on defending abortion, this is one of the most heated topics in the world. There are always people arguing over wither or not abortion should be allowed and wither or not it is morally right or wrong. Thomson brings up many good reasons on why abortion should be allowed, I’m going to summarize them to give you a short but in-depth look at his essay.
The 27 percent of most respondents that did have the baby had a hard time taking care of it, instead, most of them neglected the baby and placed the baby in a foster home. Twenty-five percent of children admitted to foster care are ages 0-3. Many of these children are drug exposed directly from the hospital. Few people are lining up to foster these babies. Not many of the foster children are or can be adopted as well, most of them jump from houses to houses because of how crowded adoptive homes are becoming. Many will languish for years in foster homes or institutions. On any given day, there are nearly 428,000 children in foster care in the United States. In 2015, over 670,000 children spent time in U.S. foster care. On average, children remain in state care for nearly two years and six percent of children in foster care have languished there for five or more years. Also, most children who are brought to foster homes have experienced sexual abuse, as many as 75 percent of all children in foster care, upon leaving the system, many will have experienced it. This is why pro-choice organizations encourage you to think before you decide to have children. Many of the pro-choice organizations include
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy before the embryo or fetus is advanced enough to live outside of its mother's womb. This concept has been debated and practiced for thousands of years. The first mentions were from 500 A.D. among Jewish scholars who debated on whether a child who had not been born had rights of its own or not. The conclusion was that a child would have rights like any other person after he or she had been born (Lopez, 2012).
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), every 8 minutes a woman will die due to problems with unsafe abortion in a developing nation; Therefore, unsafe abortion is a sensitive issue in all over the world. On one hand, different cultures and countries such as Denmark, Germany, and Cuba have laws that made abortion legal, and it’s done safely. On the other hand, there are countless countries that consider abortion as illegal such as Brazil, Iran, and Mexico, and in that case abortion is considered a crime; However, women with unwanted pregnancies often find clandestine abortion done by untrained professionals when they cannot access safe abortion seriously risking their own life (World Health Organization). Despite all counter arguments
A 2011 meta-analysis published in the British Journal of Psychiatry found an 81 percent increased risk of mental health problems among women who had undergone abortions; nearly 10 percent of the incidence of psychological problems was directly attributable to abortion. These problems included anxiety, depression, alcohol use, drug use and suicidal behavior. Most men after a while decide that they are unhappy with the fact that the woman they love can’t reproduce so it normally leads to divorce. Men regret the decision of encouraging their mate for an abortion because of the state it puts their woman in. Not all women suffer as a result of induced abortion, but many do. The risks to physical and psychological well-being should not be
What if your life was taken away from you for no reason? If your parents decided to have an abortion when they were pregnant with you, you would not be here. You would have not gotten to experience life and would not have the life you have today. Some people choose to have an abortion and that destroys an incident child’s life. That poor child will not get to live their life and have a bright future. It is wrong to just kill a child for no absolute reason.
1. About six-in-ten U.S. adults (59%) say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, compared with 37% who say it should be illegal all or most of the time. Public support for legal abortion is now as high as it’s been in two decades of polling.
