Arguments Against Gun Ownership

About 55 million people in the United States own guns. Most of them would most likely be against gun control. I am on their side. It is unfair to the people that the government would control them and not let them have guns. While they think it is for the good of the people, many do not agree.
In the 1900’s, gun ownership went up. As a result of this, crime rates went down. If citizens owning guns makes crime go down, why restrict them from being owned? I understand that people die from firearms. Between 1999 and 2013, there were 464,033 deaths by firearms in the United States.
