For example, his work on politics itself is noted as “inspiring by the recent resurgence of interest in Aristotle among moral and political philosophers, this collection claims to address ‘the possibility of grounding moral and political action in some version of Aristotelian rationalism” (Reeve 9). His later works on politics were known as inspiring enough in which they had been called for a second analysis for its deep content of the analysis of political systems and comments of Aristotle throughout these works. His works on politics are the basis for education for many and paved the organization of political systems for many civilizations after his death. Further on, “Aristotle's life seems to have influenced his political thought in various ways: his interest in biology seems to be expressed in the naturalism of his politics; his interest in comparative politics and his sympathies for democracy as well as monarchy may have been encouraged by his travels and experience of diverse political systems; he criticizes harshly” (Yu, 3). With such works as Politics, Aristotle basically provides feedback to multiple political systems throughout many civilizations. His contribution within this work is highly influential in that it serves to provide later generations of a written record of faults in diverse political systems throughout most of the world. The life of one can be dramatically altered in so many ways, but so often is it impacted by the teachings of others. The thoughts and ideas of another individual can have a lasting affect merely by being spoken (7).The human mind is as moldable and impressionable as clay. Take for example the subject of philosophy, a field that is devoted to delving into the ideas and beliefs of great thinkers. The simple act of hearing these ideas causes change within the individual, whether or not they agree or disagree with what is being taught. The moment the idea reaches that person they form an opinion on it, these thoughts then form into beliefs, and finally into new and unique ideas (12). Thinkers like Plato and Nietzche both relished in the idea of getting into the minds of others to open their horizons. Plain parables like The Cave were much more than playful stories. Instead Plato served to point out the flaws within our concept of reality through the simplicity of story telling (2). The

Political advertisements play an integral part in the Presidential election. Most notably are the derogatory bashings of the opposing candidates character and policies. Each candidate has its own campaign committee to aid in the promotion of the incoming elected official. Sometimes a third party chooses to engage the opposing party of their agenda using rhetorical strategies along with numerous examples of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. On July 13, 2012, The Emergency Committee for Israel was one of these third parties who attacked the sitting President Barrack Obama in siding with the Republican Candidate Mitt Romney in the advertisement “Time to Act.”
This essay is aimed at reviewing Aristotle’s philosophical claim that thought and contemplation is the highest form of life, with a view to explaining the veracity of his theory. Aristotle, like many other philosophers wrote extensively on a variety of issues. His deep rooted conviction for a society based on such theoretical foundation of thought, contemplation, reason and logic, made him explore the perimeters of knowledge to advance the society on the foundation of knowledge. Most of Aristotle’s life was dedicated to the search for knowledge. Contemplation naturally brings about knowledge, which is the base of discovery. For Aristotle, the life of unbroken contemplation is something divine. It is the ultimate intellectual virtue, and it is the highest form of human activity. Like Plato’s postulation of ‘the philosopher king’ or ‘king philosopher’ as the ruler of society, Aristotle’s theory of thought and contemplation places premium on education, wisdom and knowledge as basis for happiness, fulfilment and harmony. Socrates personally demonstrated this by staying in isolation at some point to have the luxury of undisturbed thoughts, contemplation and meditation. The ancient, medieval and modern philosophers gave a lot of time to this highest form of life, and this explains the potency behind their prolific writings which has stood the
The main trait of human intellect is its curiosity, its questioning nature about itself, the perceived world and the other people for which a meaning is sought. From ancient times, this endeavor became known as philosophy. Over the course of time, many such philosophers came into being and enhanced our knowledge about the meaning of things, us and our life. In the next paragraphs will take a look to a couple of them which are considered today among the greatest philosophical minds of all times: Socrates and Voltaire. We will explore their view on philosophy through some examples: Apology and Alegory of the Cave Reading for Socrates and Good Brahmin’s for Voltaire.
A perpetual conflict emanating throughout all mankind questions the significance of knowledge to human nature, regarding knowledge’s definition, acquisition, branches, and value. Major role models in the foundation of philosophy - specifically, in this essay, Plato and Aristotle - obsess over the significance of knowledge and its importance to and relationship with the development of human beings and their mindsets. Although Plato’s view on knowledge describes the internal predisposed essence of all Forms and the need for a superior being to extract them from the student, Aristotle’s outlook resides as more reliable and realistic due to his beliefs in the premise of knowledge in the sensation and perception, with continuing development in memory, experience, art and science, and, ultimately, true wisdom.
Aristotle's view of politics is expressed in his writing, Politics. Rather than focusing on the individual Aristotle is more intent on the regime, and the highest goal, justice. Another main point is that people must live together, thus having a united regime. The family unit was highly respected, for the household is where people originate. Aristotle's political science encompasses the two
