“You say this canoe of yours is built out of wood?”
“Mm-hmm, with my own hands. It has two nice mesh seats too, better than the wood seats in the aluminum jobs. You’re better off to come with me. I can protect you.”
Right about then, Stacey was more confused than ever. He had no idea why Arlen chose to befriend him, but gratified, just the same. “You know? I need to thank you for being so patient with me. People like you don’t come along every day for me, and I appreciate it very much. You knew somehow I would choose the dinghy and not really enjoy myself. I also get the feeling that you anticipated my opinion on shallow skinny boats. On one hand, I would love to know how you knew, but on the other, I won’t ask because I might get embarrassed
“How come y’all ain’t scared of us like you were Dally?” Johnny said. He had that scared look in his eyes, that told me he’d been badly hurt, but I could only tell because I had that same look for weeks after my mother died. I sighed, “You two are too sweet to scare anyone. First of all, you didn’t join in Dallas’s dirty talk, and you made him leave us alone. And when we asked you to sit up here with us, you didn't act like it was an invitation to make out for the night. Besides that, I’ve heard about Dallas Winston, and he looked as hard as nails and twice as tough. And you two don’t look mean.”
On April 4, 2017 at approximately 2:32 A.M. I, Deputy Hill was informed by dispatch of a possible over dose at the Trails Inn Motel.
Henry and Colleen arrive to the address of Ava Badeaux , it was a little shop off Bourbon Street in the city. The outside was a old red brick two story building with bars around the long rectangular windows . They opened the dark green door walking in. The smell inside was of mold and a smokey fruit scent . Voodoo dolls hung from the ceiling , jars of spices and potions on the stained wood shelves covered in spider webs. A altar to there right by the entrance with a sign saying “ do not touch or you shall receive bad luck.” The altar was full of change , dolls and other gifts placed by strangers in hopes of no bad luck in there life. Every step they took , a creak noise appeared step by step . “ May I help you?” They jumped from a female voice
“She seemed confused and so other worldly. I wasn’t sure if she understood my questions, but she did everything I asked. It was all so strange.” He frowned. “I wasn’t comfortable in pushing her though the system or taking her to a homeless shelter, you know, call it gut instinct, but something was not right.” He looked inquiringly at Adrienne, hoping for some explanation.
When the lens created by the anglo-saxon society is removed the main antagonist in the classic Beowulf, Grendel, is revealed to be a tortured beast who is targeted by a religion crazed society. As stated by Chris Colfer in his novel The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell “A villain is just a victim whose story hasn’t been told,” yet for many this lesson falls on deaf ears (9). For many Grendel is a thing of nightmares, a beast straight from hell that no villain can match. But when the society that villainizes Grendel is examined more closely one realizes that Grendel is really just an animal who is poked and prodded by an unrelenting society of savages. This savagery is seen in the way that the society calls the animal an anthropomorphic

Shad Aelfe and I went back, pre-Corps, pre-tech, back to picking scrap to survive when the power grid failed. He was a little guy, five foot two without the attitude to go with it. He would tell you he was obsolete with a broken tooth grin and a twinkle in his eye. Wet eyes twinkle, like fresh protein in the moonlight, and Shad made sure you knew he was wet, or fresh if he was in the mood. We shared some hard times together and I didn’t begrudge him the wetware upgrades, I wondered who he killed for the money, but I didn’t begrudge him. He might have been obsolete but his willingness to be modified and reconstructed gave him a depth of being that made him priceless as a counselor. He could speak with authority about the dangers of fads. And
The day was expected to come in time. Only he didn't think it would come so fast. He was disgusted with the idea of burning and torturing people just because they were Jews. Just thinking about himself bringing those families to the camps was sickening, but now, Sammuel was appointed to do so. Sammuel was forced to join the Nazis, and as he feared, his group was very trusted to bring Jews in.
That’s when Lloyd noticed it, Antlo was clutching her chest with a desperate longing look on her face. Lloyd figured that the chest had other things in it; unmated Evilans did have a habit of putting items in storage containers in hopes that their soulmate would happen to stumble upon it, and if they do magic will let the Evilan know that their soulmate has been found. Evilans as a whole are sensitive to their soulmates aura, and that is what Lloyd guesses that is what is going on with Antlo. Lloyd isn’t going to deny Antlo the right to know her soulmate (plus Lloyd knows how it feels like to have your soulmate dangled in front of you, and then taken away because you’re too young, it get’s even worse when you realize that draw it’s a one time

Its a nice story Lew, however, like almost all Americans, the truth is lost in the War... the first causality...
Yansi didn’t like newcomers. Especially not these newcomers. They rubbed her the wrong way. Her brother seemed to be enjoying them. Especially that boy Jace Herondale. Yansi knew who he was but, she didn’t act like he was the savior of the world in front of her. Oh well she sighed I’m stuck with these people until Azael is caught and sent back to the void. She watched as they looked around a crushed building she had found. They had all guessed that this was where Azael was summoned. When she had investigated she hadn’t found anything that connected to the warlock who had summoned him. She had asked all the warlocks if they knew who might’ve summoned him. Nothing. They all knew nothing. Then she saw that Azael had been terrorizing farmers and
Rubbing at the dull trobbing of his head, Oberyn conceded defeat. He held his breath, holding perfectly still as the device attempted another dreadful scan of his skull. Completing its scan, the device emitted a cutesy chime of satisfaction. In an instantaneous collage of blinding light, he exited his cosmetic clone and jumped inside a new body. His migraine and nausea had abruptly disappeared. Pins and needles rocketed across his limbs as the nerves heralded the arrival of his consciousness in the virgin mold of biomass and accompanying dropsuit.
“No, it’s not like that, I swear. I didn’t mean anything improper…” The color drained from his face. “Wait, is that insulting? You are an attractive woman. That blue dress is quite nice on you.” Pawls head dropped back and he closed his eyes. “Fuck… Great, now I’m cursing in front of you. Forgive me. I haven’t socialized with a woman alone since I was young. If this is socializing... Forget it, I don’t know what I’m saying. Should we leave?”
