When I arrived at the scene I first noticed that Arthur Volupides was lying on his back with his legs on the stairs. I also saw that he was formally dressed. The carpet was still neat and nothing on the wall was out of place. Something else that stuck out to me was that Mr. Volupides clothes weren’t messed up at all and he was perfectly positioned. He still had his glass in his hand, and it wasn’t broken or cracked at all. Also the glass was in his left hand. Right before I was about to conclude my investigation I noticed that in the kitchen there was food cooking on the stove. The autopsy states that Arthur died from a wound on the head and confirmed that he had been drunk Because of this evidence, I have concluded that Arthur’s wife, Queenie …show more content…
If he had fallen down the stairs his head would have been more likely to been on the staircase rather than his legs. If he was falling he probably would have tried to catch himself thus causing him to drop the glass and break it. Even if he was still holding the glass and trying to catch himself at the same time the wall decor would have been moved or even broken if he reached for it. Surely if he was falling from the top of the stairs the carpet would have been messed up. Another thing that supports my case is the fact that Mr. Volupides is still formally dressed. This leads us to believe that he was also headed to the party with Mrs. Volupides. The detail that really proves Queenie is lying is that Arthur’s glass is in his left hand. If would have been walking down the stairs his glass would have been in his right hand and his left hand would have been on the rail. Because he had his glass in his left hand I believe that he was headed up the stairs instead of down. This makes his clothes not being messed up and him landing on his back more reasonable. I believe that the frying pan caused the head injury that caused Mr. Volupides death. I think Queenie put the frying pan on the stove to burn away any evidence, and went to the party to use it as an alibi. Lastly she invited friends over to diminish any suspicion
The opposition still argues that Queenie pushed Arthur down the stairs. Referring back to the picture, Queenie’s face is shocked. This further proves she couldn’t have pushed him because if she did push him, her face would be smiling and
Is Queenie lying? I think Queenie is lying about what really happened when her husband Arthur died. She said that he was going down the stairs when he feel; he was on his way to get another drink. Queenie stated that she was at a club with a few friends because they got into a fight and when she got home he was at the bottom of the staircase dead. She also failed to call the cops but decided to wait till her friends came over, the time from when she came home and when her friends arrived was approximately 10 minutes. Some of her statements and the evidence in the crime scene shows that Queenie is probably lying about the incidents surrounding Author’s demise.
I gaze up at the golden moon. It is rare to see a night like this. Perhaps I should continue moving. It would be foolish for me to stop here.
I believe Queenie is not telling the truth. The evidence does not support what she said happened. First of all, Arthur had an unbroken glass in his hand. When people fall down the stairs, a glass would either break or would not still be gripped in a person’s palm. Additionally, his feet were resting on the second and third step. Usually, if someone falls down, their feet would be faced down. And by human instinct, a person would fall on their hands to protect their body. However, Arthur fell on his back with his arms pointing outwards. Also, Arthur’s robe was not rumpled or torn in any way. Again, when someone falls down the stairs the clothes would be at least rumpled. Finally, someone would not wait ten minutes to conduct further actions on a death which has occurred, especially if the person was your husband.
Loved ones, I welcome you all to this sorrowful place, to say goodbye to my beloved daughter, Juliet. If Juliet was here with us today, she would be more than overwhelmed with the audience attending her funeral. Standing here before you today is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Words cannot describe the sorrow and loss I am feeling. Juliet was my wife and I’s dearest, only child. She meant the world to us. A very obedient child, yet extremely strong in her dedication to love, rarely disobeying our wishes, only once... For her darling husband Romeo.
My first piece of evidence is the suitcase on the floor just outside the kitchen. It has flowers on it which means it is Mrs. Vermont’s suitcase. As a rule this shows Mrs. Vermont was leaving her husband. Mr. Vermont saw the suitcase, confronted Mrs. Vermont about it and killed her.
In Slip or Trip, Queenie and her husband had a big argument. After the fight, Queenie had decided to leave the house to go to a party down at the country club to have a few drinks with some friends. When she left the country club, Queenie had invited a few friends over to her house to have a couple of more drinks. When they arrived at her house, Queenie opened the door and said, “Something terrible happened. Arthur slipped and fell on the stairs. He was coming down for another drink - he still had the glass in his hand - and I think he might be dead. Oh, my God - what shall I do?” After an Autopsy was done on Arthur, it had come to the conclusion that he was drinking and he had obtained a severe head wound. Queenie is not telling the truth because
Romeo and I are standing next to each other, Friar Laurence standing between us and nurse sitting down on the church seats. Nurse looks some what happy, she did want me to marry young. I feel happy and kind of guilty. I can't believe I snuck out. Even though I feel kind of guilty I’m glad I snuck out to marry Romeo. I know I met him like two days ago, but it feels like I've known him forever. It was love at first sight, something I had never experienced before.
At approximately 1:14 AM, dispatchers received a call from the residence of the Volupides on December 8, 2016. Queenie Volupide announced that she and acquaintances went out to a country club after her and her husband had a small quarrel. When she returned to her abode, she witnessed her husband, Arthur Volupide, fall down the stairs after she said he was coming down for another drink. The autopsy confirms that Mr. Volupide had been drunk. Officers arrived to the scene at 1:29 AM. After appearing to the home, it was taken in account that Mrs. Volupide herself was intoxicated. Mrs. Volupide’s statement informed us that she was only with her husband for 10 minutes, after inviting her friends over for another drink. She was the only witness.
All types of communication interaction involve two major components in terms of how people are perceived: verbal, and nonverbal. These cues such as facial expressions, posture, verbal intonations, and other body gestures accompany our words in order to create a clear message. Every person is continuously communicating even when they are not saying a word, thus, it is possible to send an exclusively non verbal message but it is not possible to send an exclusively verbal message. Nonverbal cues in the interaction are always more powerful indicators of what a speaker means and what the speaker feels because non verbal cues have not been learned and therefore are not manipulated. In the movie Victor Victoria, nonverbal cues
With no body, no evidence of motive and no eyewitness evidence that even vaguely incriminated the Chamberlains, the Crown case was wholly circumstantial, and supported in the main by the claims of expert witnesses to the effect that the state of Azaria’s clothing was inconsistent with a dingo attack, that there was a bloody handprint on the jumpsuit; and that substantial quantities of blood, including the blood of an infant, had been found throughout the Chamberlain car.
This is an attempt to unravel the tangle by an objective and empirical examination of information from crime scene and post mortem examination of the victims. Pre-digested information such as speculative newspaper reports, and statements from witnesses other than those called in a professional capacity have been avoided since theirs is largely subjective testimony that confounds more than it informs.
Feeble, isolation and dreaded anticipation. I will describe my sadness as death by a thousand paper cuts. For every time I remember that my little boy is leaving me, possibly forever, another cut is sliced across my already weakened heart. None are enough to kill me, but powerful enough to deeply scar. My stinging heart clenches at the thought of the risk that he is putting himself up to. Slowly, I lift my trembling hand with the sellotape bandage wrapped around it, and limply brush off as many white cat hairs as possible. Holding back the temptation to graze my nose across the tip of his and run a hand through the gelled blackthorns of his hair. I attempted to distract myself by smoothening out the creases in the uniform. Can’t the clocks
Hey! Nice to meet you! I am Wendy, a water molecule! Oh! Sorry for the yelling. It is just that I am a very excitable person. I am at the top of the atmosphere for the first time! I was left here by a spaceship. I guess they just forgot….. or else they don’t like water molecules! I never thought of that before, but who cares? I’m still here.
JULIET: OMG you always make me mad. I am sick of you making me go to my cousin’s house especially when I dislike them. Mum, tell dad that I will NOT go. I would rather have my hair cut off rather than go to their place they always play pranks and bully me. I never want to go there EVER !!!!
