Knowing the standards (especially for the state and area where you teach) is essential to being a teacher. The implementation and presentation of the standards are seen in teachers and students alike and are often what employers look at when hiring or when they are looking for teachers to reward or give tenure to. The International Society for technology in Education ISTE standards for teachers and students, Ohio state standards, and the state standards for Technology National Association all affect how a teacher can or should plan lessons, the way a student learns, and the future of student’s understanding and learning empowerment; more specifically the way in which these standards affect a Spanish classroom.
What are these standards?

The CACREP standards are divided into three main areas of focus: the learning environment: structure and evaluation, professional identity, and professional practice. The first area, the learning environment: structure and evaluation, provides details and parameters on the institution itself accredited by CACREP, the academic unit, faculty, and evaluation. This area of the CACREP standards is aimed at ensuring that the learning environment provides encouragement, support, and diversity. It also dictates that the academic unit must be clearly defined, consist of approved graduate-level study and that a faculty advisor must be assigned to each student at all times during their enrollment. Some guidelines regarding faculty include but are not limited to adequate experience, professional development, and activities related to the counseling profession, and clearly defined sufficient leadership.
Currently, standardized tests do not improve the education of students in America. Standardized testing is not an accurate measure of student’s knowledge because they are designed to test an extremely broad amount of students who do not have the same educational background. This makes it incredibly difficult to test students across the world on the same level and expect their scores to reflect their education. Standardized testing, by definition, is any test containing the same questions that is administered to a vast group of people for the purpose of comparing different student’s test scores. This issue is important because it affects the entire academic community, positively and negatively. Therefore, all teachers, students, school staff, and test administrators have some involvement with standardized testing. The vast majority of people in America have taken a standardized test sometime in their life, which makes these tests vital in the
The first standard of the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Professional is, teachers understand student learning and development and respect the diversity of the students they teach. To apply this standard into my practice I plan on being able to observe the students I work with and understand how each student learns. To demonstrate that I am adhering to this standard I will find different ways to reward each student for being them and being strong for pushing through their obstacles.

As a future educator, it will be my job to continue acknowledging, valuing and teaching Indigenous origins, histories and cultures using the Australian Institute for Teaching and School (AITSL) standard 2.4 and the Australian Curriculum. This will give my future students a better understanding that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were the first custodians of our Australian land and of their origins. They lived in Australia 60,000 years before the British settled in 1788. I will teach an Australian historical time line prior to 1788.
In order for me to demonstrate understanding of this standard, I must consider the impact of the family and community on student learning, contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school, and work with other educators to share knowledge and improve practice. My artifact contributes to school initiatives, projects, and organizations teaching me how to teach and reach my ESL students through different strategies. The ESO training was beneficial for me to gain a deeper understanding of how important communication is when teaching others. I learned it is important to my lessons to include group work instead of individual work (and vice versa), evaluate students' performance on a test to decide whether to reteach the concept or move on to a new one. It is very important to collaborate with other teachers sharing fresh ideas and exchanging a variety of strategies to help relief the stress of math problems. The ESO training used everyday problems to solve math problems. Because we use math in our everyday life it is essential for me to keep my parents informed through emails and phone
Some of the outcomes of ASPD can be harmful to the sufferer as well as those surrounding him/her. An example of a societal cost would be the suffering endured by the victim of a crime committed by a person with ASPD. Crimes like those committed by a religious cult leader, for example, can have devastating effects on the religious followers (some abuse drugs, other victims commit suicide). Other outcomes include the self-infliction of pain. Sufferers of ASPD are also at higher risk of abusing alcohol and drugs.

A very current and ongoing important issue happening within the education system is standardized testing. A standardized test is any examination that's administered and scored in a calculated, standard manner. There are two major kinds of standardized tests: aptitude tests and achievement tests. Standardized aptitude tests predict how well students might perform in some subsequent educational setting. The most common examples are the SAT’s and the ACT’s. The SAT and the ACT attempt to estimate how well high school students will perform in college. But standardized test scores are what citizens and school board members rely on when they evaluate a school's effectiveness. Nationally, five such tests are in use: California Achievement Tests,
