Student affairs is less about being a bottomless well of knowledge, rather it is about having genuine interactions with students who are looking to you to as a role model. If by the end of my practice I can leverage my experiences and understanding to make a positive impact on the world through my relationships with my students, I will consider myself a success.

Many of you are aware of the ASM 401k plan available to its employees. Many of you may not be aware. This also gives me the opportunity to view how each branch of government interacts with each other directly as it occurs. I wish to attend Texas A&M because the academics and atmosphere promise superlative growth for me during my college education. Because I intend to pursue a career in business, I see the Mays School of Business as the epitome of education. Public schools, with their wide variety of backgrounds, tend to have students that fall on both sides of the spectrum; students who care and want to be there and those who are only there because the state says they have to be. The problem is the latter, more often than not, tends to outnumber the former, which is suffice to say that the students that want to be there are often times when students who care have to deal with the general negative attitude that the students who don't care often give to the overall environment of school. My aspirations is to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Genesee Health System. About a year ago, I started as an Applied Behavior Analyst Technician where I serve autistic children through therapeutic behavioral services and I must say I really fell in love with my job and the kids I work with every day. It has motivated me to carry on with my educational goals and continue working with children. ABA Technician is a great job to have and you gain lots of experience but what made me motivated even more to apply for M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction (Applied Behavior Analysis) is to gain more information, so that I am able to utilize the techniques and study the mind and behavior of individuals. I know if I am honored acceptance and I am successful in completion through the M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction (Applied Behavior Analysis) program it will help me fulfill my dream and career goal of becoming BCBA and it will expand my resources so that I am able to apply them towards the individuals that I will be working with.

Different institutions offer different courses that serve as options towards the career a person wants to undertake. They offer courses which bring out and develop a person’s being as they continue to chase excellence. As colleges and universities support students in fulfilling their goal, they offer a variety of choices that suits the preferences of the enrolees. During my time in the Aspire Scholars Living-Learning Community program, I will provide an insight of my experience inside or outside of the Hendrix campus. I will gather different perspectives from my friends and neighbors in the same living space in order to get a better understanding of what it is like to live at Hendrix College. Also, I promise to bring a positive attitude towards the other Aspire scholars who are living in the same community as me. Whether if it is an academic or personal problem, I can guarantee that I will able to help one of my fellow scholars. At the end of this experience, I will plan on supporting the new class of Aspire scholars by allowing to hear my story of the responsibility it takes to become an active member

This critique will use evidence drawn from comments made by AA100 course tutor Dr Sandra Buckland. Further factors encountered during this learning experience are evidenced accordingly. These include contributions from support agencies and sources of academic improvement. The course has been absorbing and rewarding while the experience has reshaped my outlook on life. Studying with the Open University has also reshaped my private life. This critical review begins with a favourite subject area encountered in AA100.

The math section would be beneficial because of the making of ratios for products, and how to do/make profit for a company I would be working with in the near future. In the science section, it can help me understand how to balance out chemical equations to make a better formula of a skincare or makeup product. I’d take this opportunity this year to go to EMSA to have a good representation on my future college resume and to take the experience with some of my fellow classmates that are also coming along with me.

The education we receive today holds the power to shape the individuals we will be in the future. Personally, I have enjoyed my educational experience. I have enjoyed learning new concepts and interacting with new people. Of course, there are obstacles along the way. However, these obstacles have given me the opportunity to realize my strengths and weaknesses and learn to improve in both areas. As a student, I hold onto my perseverance, seek guidance from influential figures in my life, and embrace my challenges to which all contribute to my hope to become the finest version of myself.

Student personnel point of view encompasses the student as a whole. The concept of education is broadened o the student’’s well rounded development- physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually as well as intellectually. Student Affairs professionals play a pivotal role in the development of the students. By applying different theories in student development, they can foster student learning to help them shape their identity. Student affairs staff members must view themselves as educators to refute the belief that learning is held only in the classroom. (contested issue, 29). Learning does not only occur in the classroom but through out of class activities as well. Student affairs staff should talk about student learning and development to enhance the multiplicity of growth areas for students in higher education. These learning and development experiences do not simply happen to students. They happen with their active involvement.
