Why I am Interested in Asperger Syndrome I am highly interested in Asperger Syndrome because a person very close to me was diagnosed with this condition. I know of several people who have it, as well. On social media a few years back, a transgender man with Asperger's had a meltdown and was comforted by a dog. Recently that man was shot and killed by a police officer after the poor man got out of control. I would like to know more about how this disease affects people.
What I am Hoping to Find Throughout my research of Asperger Syndrome, I hope to learn what the disease actually is. I want to know how a person is both mentally and physically affected when they have the condition. I would also like to know what aspects specialists use to diagnose a person with Aspergers. Yes and no. Yes, because of the intense struggle and trauma that he has experienced. But at the same time no because it was an eye opener for me and I think it made me a better person by learning and coping with him, & I think the same goes for him." “What does it mean to you to be diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome? I asked.
"It was explained to me that I have Asperger Syndrome. I think it has a lot to do with how I communicate with other people. It's harder for me to understand what people mean sometimes and I get bullied a lot because of this. I think that everyone has a little bit of a difficulty understanding other people because they are so confusing. Sammie stated.
Do you think you would be a different person if you didn't have it?
I honestly can't imagine being different than I am now. I've just gotten used to how people treat me and I've been trying to study how people act and what it means and that helped some.
