Aspergers syndrome is a term that refers to children and adults who have difficulties within the autism triad of impairments range, but differ from those with autistic disorder in a few very crucial ways. Those with Aspergers syndrome tend to have had no childhood language development delay, hitting all the same language developmental milestones as typical children, at around the same time. They may still however find certain social aspects of communication problematic, including turn taking and knowing when to start or stop a conversation.
Additionally, a person with Aspergers syndrome should not be found to have a cognitive delay. They may have learning difficulties in specific areas, such as spelling ( dyslexia ) or mathematics
