To apply this standard into my practice I plan on being able to observe the students I work with and understand how each student learns. To demonstrate that I am adhering to this standard I will find different ways to reward each student for being them and being strong for pushing through their obstacles.

The assessment process may have to be adapted to be suitable to the individual learner’s needs such as learning support for those with learning difficulties needs to eventually lead to the same outcome.
A reliable assessment denotes reliability in assessment (consistent in its method’s) and one in which usually determines similar outcomes. Evidence is crucial in backing up assessment. For example if a certain criteria are not observed/written down but the learner includes a piece of evidence that shows that they have covered the criteria in some form ,this then takes away the possibility of repetition and offers a more holistic outlook on assessment. It also enables the candidate to be more creative and for the work to feel more universal well rounded. Evidence is judged if it meet’s the edexcel awarding body standards or guidelines. Assessment in work place you should take into account busy periods, health and safety and time factors. 3 UNDERSTAND HOW TO PLAN ASSESSMENTS When planning assessments many factors need to be considered including (example), standards, time factor, recognising prior learning. Different ways of recording evidence, learner’s required needs if any, criteria and where possible use technology for recording. Evidence can take the form of being authentic, sufficient and current. Sufficient evidence relates to the amount of evidence which eventually satisfies that the person being assessed is competent across all elements according to the performance criteria. Evidence may be used from different sources such as oral or written ,witness statements or observations, video, paperless portfolio, computer based which can enable
The standards addressed for Goal 7 include 7.3, 7.6, and 7.8. Standard 7.3 demonstrates the use of e-mail and other online tools for the reason of communicating and managing information. I ensure I have the standards I need, any worksheets or handouts needed, Planning forms, feedback forms and addition support handouts. I also take care of the learners portfolio keeping this locked up in a cupboard.I ensure that the environment is easy to work in and somewhere the learner can write or take notes. My personal goal as a student at the University of Phoenix is to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management within the next two years. This goal is very important to me because of the impact it will have on my family, work and personal life. In my family it will set a positive example for my daughters, grandchildren, and youngest sister. My family has been a source of support throughout my years in college as I have pursued this degree while maintaining a full time job. Obtaining the degree will be an accomplishment not only for me but also for my family who has given me the encouragement to reach my goal. I would like for my grandchildren to remember their grandmother as a strong and educated woman.
The textbook defines a Standards-based education as “an attempt to develop clear, measurable descriptions of what learners should know and be able to do as a result of their education” (Armstrong, et al., 20).
