In Dr. Garwood’s opinion, the word since is often confused with the word “because.” The third assignment is different from the rest of the other assignment because it is a group assignment. The word “kids” is one slang word listed in this document that should be used in any documents in this class. 9. What is the policy on Late Assignments? (Please answer for your program if it has specific requirements.)
I accept late assignments; however, each late assignment will be penalized with a 10% grade deduction for each day late, unless you have made prior arrangements with me. Assignments are due by 11:59 p.m., the day after class meets. For this class, that would be11:59 p.m. on Fridays. If I do not receive it by that time, the assignment is considered late. Additionally, late assignments are not accepted for your final assignment. I am required to turn in grades within seven days of the last night of class. Any time you feel that you might be falling behind in the course, it is best to contact me to discuss your situation.

1. Explain the purposes or rationales for punishment and the arguments in favor of each rationale. Include a discussion about current trends in punishment.
Punishment is a process that decreases the likelihood of a behavior to occur again. This is not to be confused with negative reinforcement because it doesn't increase the likelihood of an occurrence. There are drawbacks to punishment. It doesn't teach an appropriate behavior to replace an inappropriate one. Also, intense punishment can lead to results such as passivity, fear, anxiety, or hostility. Finally, effects of punishment are sometimes temporary.
Punishment refers to a response with an unpleasant consequence. Punishment unlike reinforcement decreases the likelihood that the response will occur again. Positive punishment is any stimulus that, when added to a situation decreases the probability that a given behavior will occur. If a child is destroying the house by painting the walls and the parent catches them doing this act. The parent may spank the child adding an unpleasant consequence and hoping this behavior will not occur again.

Since the first published argument against modern funerals various authors joined the movement publishing their disparagements of customs for the deceased; that in essence contend the grandiosity and lavish displays are merely a social and psychological representation of the monetary opportunity of funerals (DeSpelder & Strickland, 2015, p. 306-307). Even further, regarding the encompassing funeral industry as exploiting grieving loved ones for their financial gains, while disregarding the actual needs of modern society (DeSpelder & Strickland, 2015, p. 307).
