The impact I hope to have in college is that I am helpful and someone who is easy to approach to seek help. I love helping others no matter what it is, if I have the ability to help I want to do it. I hope to be the girl with the contagious smile that makes other smile even in the darkest day. I think that just seeing someone smile or smiling toward you can help lift some sadness from someone’s day. The more you smile the better your day will be, I smile all day and I think it works.
College is a chance to be free and is a bridge between the real world and school. I’m an adult and expected to behave as such; I make my own choices where I have to decide what is important to me. I have an opportunity to learn how the world works, to explore the limitless possibilities and a chance to admire how vast knowledge can be. College will change my life in the way that I can develop life skills outside academics, to be fully
Running head: FINAL ASSIGNMENT 1 FINAL ASSIGNMENT 6 Ana Arias Final Assignment Arizona State University During my internship at the Phoenix VA I got to rotate trough a couple of rotations. I went from Mental Health Intensive Case Management program team to the Patient Alliance Care Teams. They were quite different from each other when it came to interacting with the Veterans. I utilized my critical thinking skills, insight, key concepts, and skills and techniques. I learned about different techniques for the same interventions from different social workers. I went from a long-term assigned case load to a very acute fast paced case load. One very important insight or analogy that a supervisor gave me was that to think of a digging a whole 5 feet deep and only making it a couple of inches wide and compare it to digging a whole only a couple of inches deep and making it 5 feet wide. That is a perfect example of how to look at these departments different as far as patient interaction, rapport building, engagement and assessment goes.
As I look towards the future of finishing my Bachelor Degree, I ask myself “what is it that I want to achieve and how can I make a dream a reality?” Through the years I have come to understand the role

I hope to get students active and involved with new adventurous experiences. I have two jobs to help me financially. My tuition gets higher every year I attend this college. I receive a stipend that goes toward my housing for the coordinator job. My second job is working at the campus post office which will help me earn some cash for necessities. I will be busy this year but it help me learn to be organized and stay focused on what I need to
What Is College For Me? Over the course of the semester in “Mapping Your Future”, I have uncovered meaning in the question “What is college for me?”. Various activities in class contributed to my self-discovery within this question including identifying my Myers-Briggs personality type, creating a family major/career tree, and reading “You Majored In What” by Katherine Brooks. Furthermore, college is the opportunity to find myself through the several moments and events available on such a large campus like Indiana University.

Coming into college I had my eyes set on the prize. It may not be as easy as I would like it to be to reach it but I know I can do it. Four years from now I would love to be hearing my name being called from the podium to receive my bachelors degree in nursing. Then in the morning hearing my alarm go off at 5 am to make my first shift at the hospital. To some students this may sound like agony and they might be dreading the works hours but to me I know this is exactly where I would want to be in my life and it all starts here in college at this moment.
