Following the completion of the “Attitude Self-Assessment Test”, I calculated a score of 36; this is considered under the “strong self-esteem” category. After closely analyzing the results of this assessment I could better reflect on not only myself as an individual, but as a future PT as well. A thorough look at the assessment revealed that I always view new situations as an opportunity/challenge which is something I’ve thrived on thus far as a PT student. I’m now able to identify how my confidence, abilities, and establishing goals has lead me to the success I’ve had in PT school thus far. I’m positive that my growth/success throughout my clinical experiences is a result of a combination of confidence to ask questions as well as trusting
After taking all of these assessments, I learned a great deal about myself. I am now able to pinpoint several strengths I possess that I was unaware of beforehand.
Bebop is a style of jazz that was developed in the early to mid-1940s in the United States. Bebop was developed during the 1940’s and is one of the most artistic styles of jazz music. The word Bebop focused more of the freedom of creativity rather than rhythmic aspects. The word bebop is an onomatopoeic of a staccato two-tone phrase distinctive in this kind of music. Bebop also gave soloists more room for improvisation. Bebop differs from the composition of the swing era and is characterized by fast tempos, asymmetrical phrasing, intricate melodies, and rhythm sections that expand on their role as tempo-keepers. It appeared to sound racing, nervous, erratic, and fragmented. To jazz musicians and music lovers, bebop was a beautiful revolution in the art of jazz.
With growing knowledge of my new profession overcoming insecurities from my lack of self-confidence was a daunting task. Overwhelmed with didactic and clinical information I felt myself falling into the “I can’t do this” mentality.
What area do you want to focus on? What are your learning needs based on reflection and self-assessment?
Everyday we ask ourselves, “Did I make the right decision?” Whether it is in regards to family, friends or co-workers we constantly do self assessments. Self-assessment is defined as a process through which individuals gain knowledge about themselves. This includes information about their likes and dislikes as well as their reactions to specific situations. By knowing more about themselves, individuals can be able to determine the work situations and occupations that are most appropriate for them. There are several lessons that can be learnt from self-assessment in relation to individual decision making. This research paper will examine reveal the lesions learned from self assessment. We will observe of the influence of the American
For the Myers Briggs personality test I am an ISTP when I am stress and when I am at my best. I was surprised with these results due to the fact that my freshman year in the Harold Leadership Academy I was required to take the Myers Briggs assessment and scored the letters INFJ. I find myself leaning more towards INFJ because the test was at least seventy-five questions. When reading the definitions of ISTP and INFJ I find that I would agree with my personality having a little bit of both. The Myers Briggs Foundation states that INFJ individuals are insightful about others, seek to understand what motivates others, committed to their values, desire to sever the common good, organized, decisive, and seek meaning and connection in ideas, relationships, and material possessions. An example of how I am an INFJ is that I have chosen a healthcare career that is holistic and identifies what motivates others. I tend to over think situations, conversations, and how I reacted to them. I truly care about the people in my life and I know I pay attention to others especially in class and if they look down I typically ask how they are doing, which allows for them to open up if they wish but also it is how I acknowledge that I see them and care. The Myers Briggs Foundation states that ISTP individuals are tolerant, flexible, quiet observers, analyze what makes things work, organize facts using logical principles and attentive to cause and effect. I would firmly agree with the quiet
The Pardoner constantly preaches the theme of greed and he frequently states in his sermons that money/greed is the root of all evil. Although the Pardoner, when he deceives people into donating money and buying his relics in order to absolve their sins, shows his own sins for greed and money which he preaches is the root of all evil. The theme could be a lesson on double standards or “do as I say, not as I do”. •After I completed all of these self assessments quiz, I learned a lot about myself. I learned that I am more of relate to art more than science. Even though I said that I want to me a Dentist for my future, but it was just a plan. Future can be change. Something that surprised me was the knowledge quiz because the occupations that listed were mostly related to my interests.
Thank you for encouraging words. It was hard trying to find a real definition to behavioral blend because there are so many aspects that you have to take in consideration. When talking to family and friends you are able to speak freely because they know how you communicate better than those who we just meet. For me personally I have a close net family and we speak freely to each other when we meet new people it takes them some time to understand the tone that we are using friendly. In the self-assessment it states that I am “I know how to put myself in other people’s shoes. But it also says that I pay more attention to the message I’m receiving rather than how it was received”. And in the uniquely you, they placed as me a “S/c or a C/S”. But
According to Conte, Weiner, and Plutchik, the average score for most people, regardless of age, is 8.5. My score shocked me a little because I would think I worry about death a lot but consider to this questionnaire I am not that concern. I scored a 3, it was lower than the average score that these researchers found. I believe my score was low because I am deciding to make plans for my future and if I decide to get marry and have children the will not have to worry about anything except live their life and work hard. I want to get all of my debt settled and pay out all the bills so that my family would not have to worry. I do not believe anyone would forget about me because there will always be photos and videos to remember me by whether it
People are created uniquely and different one to another, which results in character and personality differences. The needs of socialising and workplace purposes, such as career development and organisation effectiveness have ‘forced’ people to be more aware and understand their potentials through self-analysis. It requires people to assess themselves as an object in particular event or experience, which enables people to gain self-awareness (De Janasz, Wood, Gottschalk, Dowd, and Schneider, 2007, p.8). Self-awareness is the ability of an individual in assessing others’ evaluations of self and incorporate those evaluations in one self-evaluation, which then would help determine his
The personality assessment inventory tests provide results on my individual personality, values, motivation, decision making, communication, team skills, conflict skills, organizational structure preference, and stress. These results are broken down briefly in three parts and do not include any personal speculation or analysis as to their meaning. The application of these results are further applied and explains how the results noted from the tests and in the first step will make me a better employee, co-worker, and manager within my organization. These tests mentioned above are applied in conjunction with particular examples on how I can achieve becoming a better employee, co-worker, and manager. An explanation of how my personality and experiences were affected by the Holy Spirit is also discussed. Particularly, how potential weaknesses have become strengths with the guidance of the Lord.
I chose to assess myself positively in all of the categories because I felt that I did a good job of thoroughly responding to and completing each of the requirements. I came to the discussion with a several page response to each of the four questions that I posed in relation to the text, complete with a highlighted and annotated copy of the story to use as a reference point. During the discussion itself, I referred to how the specific actions of each of the characters in the story might be interpreted and related in a more broad sense to the meaning of the work as a whole. For example, I spoke at one point about how the actions of the wife seemed inconsistent with the continuous importance placed on the value of honor within the story, as her
a. According self tests using the Five Factor Model, my personality has low extraversion and emotional stability, a high degree of openness, and moderate levels of agreeableness and conscientiousness. Low extraversion is demonstrated in both professional and social envionments. While working a corporate job as a financial analyst, taking the time and initiative to interact with coworkers beyond the scope of the job was limited to a brief conversation once a day with the same two people. In large social gatherings, interactions are limited to familiar people with whom I have pre-existing friendships. If I attend a concert by myself, I will bring a book to read in between musical acts to prevent people from speaking to me. Low emotional
After reveiewing my results from the self assessment test, my scores improved except for communication. In communication I scored one point higher than before. I dont think the test is accurate but it has definitely made me more aware of my practices and actions. Since taking the first assessment Ive been more mindful and have tried very hard to improve personally and professionally. My attitude/behavior is my professional strength. Im always positive and I keep a smile on my face no matter the situation. My knowledge and skills are reflected in all of the work that I complete. Through my actions my patients can see that I have a passion for helping others. I hold myself to a high standard and expect nothing but the best. Im always
