My career goal is to get a Master’s degree in Music Therapy, an Associates in Music, and a Major in Psychology. The reason I chose this path is because originally I wanted to be a Vet. Since I was a little girl, then my eleventh grade year my grandparents in Louisiana I was living with convinced me that I wasn’t smart enough to pursue that path. So I went to a college with my school choir and I learned about music therapy and how it can heal and calm people. After I heard about it I knew that, that’s what I wanted to do, I wanted to make music and help people. So I looked more into that path and found out that it is a growing career and is becoming more and more popular. So now I am planning on going to a two year university to get my Associates degree in Music and my general studies all done, then go
Within society, there are many occupations to explore and chose. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) results showed that my personal career strengths fall under the area of teaching and counseling. Currently, as a school counselor for a high school in Duncanville, Texas, a suburb outside of Dallas, I find the results of the assessment to be very accurate. Making the decision to become a counselor is a rewarding and exciting career choice. In the world of counsling, there are many individuals who place emphasis on not just basic implications, but also on theoretical studies that usually are a part of
Some of my interests include flying and gaming. Two of my aptitudes are computers and technical engineering. Two skills I have are figuring how things work and exploring things I have not done before. Some of the good qualities I have are being kind-hearted, patient and having a good sense of humor.
My number one goal in all aspects of my life is to cultivate, preserve, and further the field of music through music education. It is a strong belief of mine that education is about innovation, not re-invention. In the future I hope to find ways to make music relevant to all students; to find ways to connect the classroom a student's everyday academic and personal life. Another aspiration of mine is to teach music abroad. This is something that I suspect
For my education I would like to become a vet which means I have to get a PHD in vet school. To help me get started next year I will Medical in 8th grade and also take it in high school. If I take Medical next year and find out it is not for me I will try to become a teacher and follow the line of teachers in my family. My grandma, on my mom’s side, is a high school teacher and as you know my mom is the AP at Shivela Middle School, or I will follow my dream in acting as you may know I am in Theatre, and I love it I have been in plays all throughout elementary elementary school I was the main character in my 1st grade christmas play, I was also little miss muffet in my kindergarten play, also I has the sign holder in my after school program play that would introduce each scene like “Twas the Night before Christmas.” Some of my career goals are to be an intern at a local shelter and graduate high school ready to go right into college and know what it would be for like teaching or vet
College is supposed to be a place where you advance both personally and academically. College helps you to understand who you are as a person. This important investment should not bankrupt individuals and cause major financial problems later on in life. I go to a Private liberal arts college where tuition is $25,680 a year. I commute to campus to avoid paying the extra $9,770 to live on campus because I need to pay for Graduate school if I want to become a Speech Pathologist or Audiologist. There are so many graduates and friends that I have talked to that have tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars in college debt to get a diploma and then to not be able to pay the money back because it will take them 30-40 years because they are not working in their field and have other expenses as they get older. Normally, it takes the average college student 30 years to pay back their loan and the student pays thousands of dollars in interest they could use to buy a house, invest in their children, or their familes future. One of my friends is going to school in Oklahoma and the University she attends gives her little to no financial aid, she is going to
You can stumble upon life inspirations in unexpected places. I grew up in a small town in Northwest Alabama. My little town is somewhat famous. This town would be nothing out of the ordinary if it were not for a single individual that not only impacted me but also has impacted American history, Helen Keller. It is said that where you grow up shapes us, and I whole-heartedly believe that. Growing up in a small town I have found myself entrenched in a profession that I find most honorable. The sole purpose of Audiology is to improve the quality of life in those whom suffer hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. Hearing loss is not just an ailment that robs that person of sensory stimulation it robs that person of sound of voice and language, and for this reason I want to become an Audiologist.
Karen Mills is a audiologist , in Hemphill . She owns a company called Hemphill Hearing Center , located in Hemphill . Audiologist is part of science that studies hearing , sound , and balance . She told us “ we have three bones in our ear . “
One thing that I have always known is that I wanted to do something that would have a positive impact on people's lives. The medical field beckoned to me and I knew this was the best way to achieve my goal. Throughout my life, I have always been fascinated with this career path. The EFE class would provide me with more of a comprehensive understanding of what to expect in my future. Hands-on training would benefit me because I will be able to learn from like-minded people and get an insight into health practices.
Audio engineering is a very exciting job. A sound engineering technician is someone who will set up, operate, and maintain the electrical equipment for radio, concerts, and sound recordings. Sound engineering technician typically works indoors. Sound technicians require technical skill in a candidate. Shaun mentioned sound engineer is not for everyone; candidate should be someone who works well with other. Employee should also be responsible enough to deal with long hours and especially at late nights. It's a great job if you have the determination to stick with it. It's a competitive field, but for those who stay with it, they are rewarded with a great living doing what they
All I dreamed of when I was young was performing with the Chicago symphony orchestra, to be surrounded by fellow musicians, and to do what I love the most with people who love it as much as I do. To play golden tones and chords in a grand movement, for an audience of thousands. But now as I grow older, more mature, I realize this is a mere dream. Half of me, wants me to quit the pursuit of a fruitless aspiration, a small fantasy concocted by the mind of a child. To put my time and energy into study of a degree in law or engineering or chemistry or whatever could hold a promising future, one with a stable job and a family. The other half of me want to keep my love of music, and nurture it further, wether it be fruitless or not. To spend my time studying the greats and how to play and preform like them, to spend my college years writing music instead of essays.
During my undergraduate studies at Belmont, I took Dr. Hawley’s “Physics for Audio Engineering” course. Before that course, I had never fully considered the role that room acoustics and system optimization play in sculpting the sound of a space and had never considered career options outside of mixing. But, in Dr. Hawley’s course, something clicked and I couldn't get enough. In addition to reading the course textbook several times, I found myself absorbed by the class research project, and even added on a personal project designing a home theater for a friend. I went on to build this theater by myself in two months of work staying within a budget of $40,000. The project turned out even better than I could have hoped, helped invigorate my passion for creating great sounding spaces, and opened up new career possibilities to me. To further pursue acoustics, I tried to work in a physics minor (though it was too late to change my minor), added an unneeded calculus class to my schedule, and began searching for graduate programs in acoustics. Unfortunately, since all of the schools I came across were heavy on the “architectural” side, I knew these were a bit out of my wheelhouse. Belmont’s program was just getting off the ground
For a project that I was assigned as a part of my computer applications class, I was asked to create a personal budget. With this, I was provided with an array of variables and had to find the best possible home and car for my career choice. We weren’t able to just pick any old house however. The house had to be priced at a minimum of $200,000 USD and the car had to be a new car made in the last 3 years. Some of the factors that affected my choices were monthly expenses for items such as food and other basic living costs.
Achieving such a goal will require me to go the extra mile because I have to take my chance when it comes to me, then capitalize on the opportunity to grow my business. In college a music degree would be most appropriate. I strongly believe that music can not be taught, so if I do not pursue the music degree then it will not affect me. By not taught I am referring to the fact of authentic talent, something that is
In life I want to become a fashion designer. My goals are to create clothing that is for all sizes, ages, and genders. In my clothing I want t show a creative side of my art ability and I want to make my clothing affordable for all as well. I think I influenced myself to wanting to become a fashion designer because I have a passion for art and wanting to become a fashion designer.
