August-23 Today I woke up at 7:30. Mom and dad went to breakfast. While they went to breakfast, we got to stay home and eat breakfast and get ready to leave. Once mom and dad got home from breakfast, we packed up the fridge in the RV and get the dog stuff ready and packed. When getting ready to leave I had to take the blocks out from under the car. A few minutes into driving we had to stop driving because when I was in the back I noticed that one of the bike wheels were not strapped down so we stopped at Harriton High School to fix the wheel. Also while driving the refrigerator was blinking so I had to go turn it off and then on to see if that would help and that didn't work so we just decided to drive and not worry about it. At 12:51 we stopped at KFC Georgetown Delaware, which isn’t my favorite, but there is nothing else so I have …show more content…
When we got to the campsite we filled the tank up with water. When the tank was full we hurried to get everything back into the RV. Once we got to the site I stuffed the hose back into the place it goes into and closed and went back into the RV. When I came back out side I helped dad put up the tent and during that I got a bloody noise so I had to go into the RV. After an about an hour we finally got the tent up and then me and dad took the bikes down from the bike rack. After taking the bikes off the back I took my rip stick around the loop, which took awhile. After riding my rip stick we took a walk on the beach and played in the water a little after playing in the water we rinsed off and then took a shower. And came back and ate dinner. Then we made delicious s'mores and then ate them. After we finished making s'mores we got ready for bed and
It was three days after my eighteenth birthday. It was a day of many firsts. I drove a long distance to place I had never been by myself. First time being introduced to my boyfriend’s parents. Also realizing you should always unpack your car after a trip. Signing my own paper work legally as an adult. Biggest first of the day was being in my first car accident. Never thought being an adult could be so difficult.
After a long drive we finally got to our shady camping spot. Before we did anything fun, my mom made us put our huge tent and then put away a ton of groceries right after we had been already waiting two hours.
I feel good about the PBL calendar because I can keep up with the dates I need to turn important things in.What excites me is i can know when something needs to be turned in.What makes me nervous is i will forget about something and not turn it in and get a bad grade.Ideas that come to mind is that somebody can help me keep track of what i need turned
Fall, lovely fall, one of my favorite season, because it's not too hot and it's not too cold. I love the colors of fall, and there's no place like Colorado to celebrate it. We recently decided to take a trip up to the mountains to look at the beautiful Colorado Fall Colors. It's when the trees change colors and you can see a sea of yellow, oranges and reds, or maybe just a sea of yellow as shown below. People travel from far and wide just to witness our colors and I don't blame them, because it's beautiful! You may notice that when fall comes around, we tend to eat more comfort foods, and one of those comfort foods that I just love and my entire family also loves is Quaker Oats. I grew up eating Quaker Oats and I remember my mother making oatmeal in the mornings for breakfast before I headed off to school. In the Caribbean we would call it "porridge", and it was usually our go to breakfast meal. It was filling and you know that you were getting a great meal. Now that I'm older and have my own family, I always keep Quaker Oats on hand, whether they be the original or instant, they're a must have in my own pantry.
We’re only several days away from 2017 and I’m sure we can all agree that 2016 was a really, almost unbearably, long and turbulent year for many of us. We’ve been graced with everything ranging from people becoming dogs on Snapchat to Vine being shutdown and lets not forget McDonalds introduced a 24-hours breakfast menu. Although 2016 was the worst we’re going to recap on all the good and bad things this year has given us incase you forgot.
With summer almost over, I can't help but look back on the past few months. Mid-May I was completely blindfolded, I dived into the summer months without any goals or any idea of what it would bring.
This week I went to Lake Selmac. Lake Selmac is an awesome lake located in the miniature town of Selma. When we got there, I helped unload stuff from our RV. Then my Dad and I put the boats in the water, we have a sailboat and a kayak, we also inflated our little inner tube, I jumped right in the water with it. I had a blast, with the tube I floated out into the middle of the lake. Then I swam in the water for a bit, it was really warm! I did all sorts of cool tricks like jumping through the hole and flips. A few minutes later my sister came out to join me, we had a really great time.
It makes me feel dizzy because it’s a lot to look at. It excites me to see what we are going to do throughout the month on the calendar.
Jordan woke up Monday morning telling herself this will not be a boring day. She was going to make an impact on someone. “Ding ding ding!” her alarm clock yelled. “Another day, but today is an extraordinary day!” she yelled with joy. She got up from her bed wearing only sweatpants and a tank top and she wandered to her computer to check her email, like she does every day. She looked at all of her 24 boring emails; bills, emails from work, and more bills. She hated it. But at the end of the row of usual emails, one caught her blue eye, and without hesitating she clicked on it. The mysterious email was from the White House! “WHAT?!” “Drew! Come here!” she yelled to her husband. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “I just got a random email from the White House saying that they want me to fly to Washington D.C and have a meeting with the president!” Jordan said with enthusiasm. “It must be fake” Drew said with a smirk. “No, they’re paying for everything, my ticket, a hotel room, everything”. She said smiling with her jaw wide open about to touch the ground. In 7 hours, she would be meeting the president.
As the current was leading me to snare, my heart started to find itself in a state of panic. I did my best to steer from the danger of being trapped but it was too late. I was stuck. Unable to continue going downstream I got off my tube and tried to push out. But I started to slip, and I was sinking bit by bit. I grabbed a hold of the branch and positioned myself onto the log. So luck would have it, my friend helped me out of the sticky situation. As I continued down the stream, the question came up: what would happen if my friend was not there to bail me out?

When I was young, my father was an avid video gamer, reader, and computer engineer. He introduced me to video gaming through gifting me my first Gameboy Color, which was the successor of the original Gameboy. The differences between the two was just that one had lights and actual graphics while the other had no lights and contained sketch-like graphics. Anyways, through that gift I was able to have a defining moment which was with a game called Kirby. Kirby was just a game about a pink blob that wants to be a hero and save his land, which was something I was really into because of the progression system and the feeling of success which it granted me. I ended up liking games and
There were mouths moving on the other side of the table, I had enough of a mental capacity to realise that. To realise that I should be listening and absorbing what was being said by everyone else. Maybe even contribute to the conversation. Wren’s face looked questioningly across the table, but her eyes were filled with understanding. I needed this moment in my own head to breathe. This moment to feel okay again before coming back down to earth. Warm fingers wrapped around mine served as an anchor, and the stress of this one meal was the thunderous sea threatening to throw me overboard.
July, I've decided is for forgetting already half over we could say that something is missing, sometimes something as endless as time has been wasted but instead, I hold a broken wrist watch let the tick-tocking of my memories fade to white noise there's nothing I want more than to be a clean slate, and what the rain cannot wash away I will not hold onto I will wait for a stronger storm to come, because July is for forgetting and I have so much time to let go
It was a beautiful day, everything was still and quiet. It was perfect. Unfortunately, perfect never last very long. Suddenly the alarm on my watch started to make a horrible, loud beeping sound. That meant Kayla would be here any second. But what if she wasn’t there that one day, the day of my birthday. I continued to ask myself if that horrifying day would have turned out different.
