Andersonville was a Confederate prison built in 1864 at Andersonville, Georgia. It was designed to hold Union prisoners of war during the Civil War. It was official named was Camp Sumter, however it’s better known as Andersonville. It was built from the ground up by local slave labor. At the time it was 10 ½ acres long and designed to hold about 10,000 men. The camp was enclosed out of 15 to 17 inch hewed pine logs. Along the walls were guard towers (referred to as pigeon roosts by the inmates) placed every 90 feet around the stockade walls.

The person I am doing for my essay is Wesley Isenhour (my dad). He has a wife named Liane and two kids named Macy and Maddy. He works for the United States postal service and does reviews on post offices all around North Carolina. The reason I chose my dad is because he always makes people smile and makes everyone's day better. He is one of the best people in my life and is always there for me. I hope you enjoy my essay on Wesley Isenhour.

I was devastated to hear that only ten students were allowed into ENG 102 for the spring semester, but this is my opportunity to show you that I deserve to be put in ENG 102. I believe I should be one of the ten students to advance into your ENG 102 class because I think I have what it takes. I have ambitions and dreams and if I don’t graduate because of this class they will just burn to ashes in the back of my mind. Hopefully you will be persuaded by the end of this essay, and you will end up putting me in your 102 class.
As a hard-working, committed individual, I believe that being a member of National Honors Society will significantly benefit my personal character, academic achievements, and social life. After conducting some research on National Honors Society, I have come to learn that NHS needs students that exemplify the qualities of character, service, scholarship, and leadership to be qualified for membership. By being qualified for this outstanding opportunity, I believe that I can attain leadership skills, and confidence which can be beneficial in the years to come.
I am very interested in pursuing a college degree and earning the Prairie Meadows scholarship would help me greatly on the path to my future. Receiving this scholarship would make it more feasible to attend the school I would like to attend. Drake university is a private college so it is more expensive than other state schools. I want to go to drake because I really enjoy the trumpet professor and facilities Drake has. This would help provide me with the things I need to be successful in a music major.
National Honors society would be an amazing opportunity for me. I believe I would be a perfect fit
You shoot up from your warm bed. You rub the sleep from your eyes and glance at the clock, which strikes 6:10. It seems as though your heart skips a beat. The cozy blankets try to keep you enthralled in their warm grasp as you jump from their reach. The bus to Buffalo leaves in twenty minutes and you should’ve woken up an hour ago. You frantically toss on your oversized sweatshirt and leggings and race to the kitchen, in hope that you have time to sneak a quick bite to eat. As you run in, you see that your mother has made you two slices of toast, crisp and crunchy, spread with a thick layer of creamy, melted butter. While running around the house, munching on the perfectly toasted bread, you quick grab your swimsuit and bag, which
The Prairie Meadows Scholarship will help me to pursue an education at the University of Iowa. With the money given I would use it to earn a degree in engineering or a degree dealing something with the law. My favorite subjects in High School were math and science. My whole life math has always come easy to me and for some odd reason I have a passion for math. During my Junior year of High School I took my second physics class and gained an interest in physics. Besides math and science, when I was a young boy I always dreamed of becoming a police detective, I used to run around the house pretending I was getting all of the “bad guys”. Now a days I also find being a lawyer fun and intriguing. I plan on earning my degree and graduation college.

When North East Ohio Medical University sponsored a student led project, BetheBeautifulU was formed. Our campaign’s goal is to expose social media’s negative effect on teenage self-esteem due to its focus on Eurocentric standards of beauty. BetheBeautifulU’s purpose was to confront Cleveland's high school issues with self-esteem hidden within high school culture. We came up with numerous topics, like body positivity, but the one that was deeply anchored in our school was colorism. Colorism in Cleveland school districts and the media perpetuates the idea that lighter skinned people are more beautiful and most accepted compared to dark skin people. During our seminar to promote BetheBeautifulU, we asked
Becoming a graduate student at Berry College will do more than just provide a Master’s degree; it will be an opportunity to develop my personal and professional aspirations. There is no other graduate program that has impressed me more than Berry College’s dedication to academic excellence, culture, and core values. It is evident that Berry desires to develop its graduates professionally, personally, and spiritually, whereas other programs I have researched are primarily concerned with professional advancement. Berry gives its students the guidance, comradeship, and support they need to develop into insightful clinicians and individuals.
