Oh… my… gosh! His first. Swish drains the shot. His first points in a game. The team screamed like a banging drum. Let me show you how all this happened. Today I would assist a half court shot in the middle school east gym against are Wauconda Bulldogs. Wauconda was a much larger and faster team than us so we had to play the hardest we played all year.
Braden said,” Coach are we playing first or second? Am I playing?”
“Were playing first and today you will not be playing in the game vs Wauconda,” Coach replied.
“Ok coach,” Braden said.
I walked into the east gym ready to beat the Wauconda Bulldogs.
We started at quick pace back and forth and everybody was making the shots they need to. At the half it was 29-21. Coming out of their talk Wauconda started celebrating at their first lead of the game.

The first couple possessions the Eagles went on a 12-0 run against Wauconda. At the end of the third it was close 31-33. The eagles had grabbed the lead going into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter went by quick. With two minutes to go in the fourth we called a timeout. Eagles were down 44-39.
Coach said, “Braden you're in. A player went down.I was shocked to be going in.,”
“I'm in. I have to do something. I pass to my teammate and he shoots. BOOM! He hits the three. The score is 44-42 and Wauconda is up.
30 seconds left on the clock and Wauconda has the ball. Now they are wasting the clock by dribbling and passing. We now have 4 seconds on the clock. The shot goes up. We get the rebound. I pass. My teammate shoots.
“WOW! We made the half court buzzer beater. We win 45-44,” Coach screams.
The crowd goes wild. We win, we win, we win!!!!
I would wish to be on the team next year
If I had a desion would I shoot the last second shot or pass to
As Drew and Andie, came over to my dad and me, we were talking about how they got tickets also. Andie got the tickets from a friend. The teams came out of the tunnel and the second half was about to start. The first two minutes of the second half, UNI did not look very good as they were down 45-34. UNC shot the ball really well which put UNC up 50-34 with 17:13 left to play. I thought that UNI was still going to make a great comback into this game, and they did. Matt Bohannon made a three pointer as well as Paul Jesperson with two three pointers and trimmed UNC´s lead to seven at 50-43. ¨Here we go!¨ Jeremy Morgan made a three pointer and the score was 54-48. It just got even better. Wes Washpun got two layups and trimmed the lead to two. ¨Let´s go!¨ There was a TV timeout with 11:32 left to play, but there was a UNC foul. Jeremy Morgan got two free throws and made one for two. UNC would commit another personal foul, and Matt Bohannon had a chance at the free throw line and made one for two also. The game is tied at
The head coach of the Keystone West said, " Today we will go 3-0 because I know that we work harder than everyone her."
The 11-play,65-yard drive ended with a 2-yard touchdown run by, Chapman. The point after kick by,Nathan Liesen was good, making this a,20-7 game, with 43.6 left in the half.
Down 12-8 early, 10 unanswered gave Centenary the lead for the rest of the first half. On back-to-back possessions, Sapp made a layup and freshman Cedric Harris hit a three to quickly give the Gents the lead. Harris added the fastbreak triple and a jumper by Sapp gave the home team an 18-12 lead with 6:46 left in the first half.
At this point, the wheels came off of the Panthers wagon and GSU scored 16 unanswered points. GSU got things going and the momentum changed in their favor. Kincade connected with Chad Williams on a 13 yard passed to make the score 16-7 with PAT by Jonathon Wallace with 2:42 in the first quarter. At this point, both teams were going back and forth. Several turnovers occurred. Until, Kincade and GSU got their groove on with an 11 yard run for pay dirt. Jonathon Wallace successfully completed the PAT to make the score 16-14 in favor of PVAMU at the 10:39 in the second quarter. GSU would score again before the half when PVAMU’s Lorin Winston couldn’t handle a high snap and push the ball out of the back of the end zone for a safety. That tied the score at 16-16 all with 2:00 minutes left in the half.
This game was over quick, Arizona scored a quick 14 points. At halftime, the score was 31-7.
“You don’t deserve to be playing in the championship, you got an easy bracket to the finals, you have no shot to win this game.”
The Bulldogs built the lead to 23 when they hit 7-of-8 from behind the arc to begin the second half. Texas Lutheran finished the game 19-for-34 (55.9 percent) from
Finally the game started and we played well and so did they. The game was close the whole way threw and we came to the final inning tying them. We were the home team so we got to bat last. Two of the three outs
As I got settled in the dugout, I heard my coach yell, ¨Michael, youŕe batting second in the lineup, and
It started out as a slow sloppy third quarter until Mississippi State had a chance to score. Although Mississippi State had a chance to score, their field goal kicker missed wide left. Everyone in the stands was very upset as we know we may not get another opportunity. Then things soon got incredibly worst. Ole Miss got a chance to score just as Mississippi State did with a field goal. Unlike Mississippi State, Ole Miss capitalized on their opportunity and scored at the end of the third quarter. Nervously, we got ready for the fourth quarter. Although our nerves did go away when Dak Prescott finally stepped on the field. The stands went crazy as Dak anticipated the first play. Dak helped move the team down the field into scoring position before being stopped by the Rebels. My heart dropped as I saw the field goal unit come out on the field to attempt another field goal. Everyone in the stands held hands and got very quiet. The kicker booted the ball as it floated through the uprights. We could not believe our terrible kicker made the field goal. The crowd went crazy as this game was headed to
We get off to a rough start in the third quarter and give Germantown an undeserved 6 point lead. We then come back to take the lead, but Germantown makes a three to quickly destroy our hopes of getting another lead, but Tyler still makes a three and ties the game up which encourages me and the rest of my team. After that the buzzer sounds and ends the third quarter. When the fourth quarter we come out knowing that this is our game for the taking, and so we get of to a great start and take a 4 point lead. Germantown quickly evens the score out, but again we take the
The second 20 minutes saw the YellowJackets start the half on 12-1 run and remain in front for the rest of the contest. In the run, four-different players scored for the YellowJackets. UTD came back with eight unanswered to close within five, 49-44 but a three-point play by Colhoff regained the momentum for the home team. LeTourneau would build a lead as large as 14 en route to the win.
Question-You are playing in the finals of a local basketball tournament. The score is tied, 50-50, with one minute left in the game. You drive for a basket. SMACK! An opposing player fouls you hard. The referee misses the call. What should you do?(Cosgrove)
The team was ready, we had been working extremely hard for the past seven months for this. We were all in great shape and very rested. A few of the returning players were meeting me at my house to carpool to the final game of the state championship tournament. Everyone knew that the hard work had paid off when we won the semi-final game the preceding day.
