1. Introduction
Automatic Street Light Control System is a simple and powerful concept, which uses transistor as a switch to switch ON and OFF the street light automatically. By using this system manual works are removed. It automatically switches ON lights when the sunlight goes below the visible region of our eyes. It automatically switches OFF lights under illumination by sunlight. This is done by a sensor called Light Dependant Resistor (LDR) which senses the light actually like our eyes. By using this system energy consumption is also reduced because now-a-days the manually operated street lights are not switched off properly even the sunlight comes and also not switched on

4.1 Diode A diode is a two-terminal electronic component that conducts electric current in only one direction. A semiconductor diode is a crystalline piece of semiconductor material connected to two electrical terminals. A vacuum tube diode is a vacuum tube with two electrodes: a plate and a cathode. The most common function of a diode is to allow an electric current to pass in one direction while blocking current in the opposite direction. Thus, the diode can be thought of as an electronic version of a check valve. This unidirectional behavior is called rectification, and is used to convert alternating current to direct current and to extract modulation from radio signals in radio receivers. When p-type and n-type materials are placed in contact with each other, the junction is depleted of charge carriers and behaves very differently than either
A fuel cell is, in principle, a very simple electrochemical device. The chemical reaction that powers hydrogen fuel cells is the same as that which occurs when hydrogen burns. The chemical equation for this reaction is: 2H2 + O2 ( 2H2O + energy. "Normally hydrogen burns, reacting with oxygen from the air, producing water, heat and light. ... In the fuel cell the chemical reaction is exactly the same, but instead of producing light and heat energy, electrical energy is produced."2 All fuel cells consist of an electrolyte (a substance that allows only the passage of ions) sandwiched between two electrodes. When a fuel containing hydrogen is passed over the negative electrode, otherwise known as an anode, it is ionized. Ionization of the fuel, often accomplished with the assistance of a catalyst, removes electrons from the hydrogen creating positively charged hydrogen ions and negatively charged free electrons. Since only the ions can pass through the electrolyte situated between the electrodes, the electrons must find another route to the positive electrode or cathode, where they will be reunited with the hydrogen ions and combined with oxygen atoms to form water. The electrons passing around the electrolyte constitute an electric current, and thus can be used to provide power during their journey from anode to cathode.3
A cathode is the positively charged electrode where different types of ions gain electrons and also where reduction takes place.
The drivers ensure that the voltage and current to the LED bulbs remains within the operating range of the LEDs regardless of fluctuations in the mains supply. The protection avoids providing too much voltage and current that would degrade the LEDs or too low current that would reduce the light output.
Semiconductors allow the flow of both ions and electrons through the sample but not completely free; and its
Switching to solar panels will produce 8350 kilowatts per year, with 2 kilowatts per day, comparing to 11,879 kilowatts per year! Canadian citizens can replace standard light bulbs with fluorescent light bulbs. Fluorescent light bulbs use 75 percent less energy and they last 10 times longer! They can produce 17 watts/hour, while emitting much more light than a normal light bulb. (Ballad, T. (n.d.). How Much Do Energy Efficient Bulbs Save? | Home Guides | SF Gate, n.a., (2012.08.23) Top 10 Things You Can Do to Help - Information on Climate Change - Canada's Action on Climate Change.) Another strategy for individuals to help decrease the amount of GHG emissions would be including high-efficiency appliances apart of their lives. With the use of high efficiency appliances, 20 percent energy is being produced. In 2010, 2800 kilowatts were produced in households, and comparing to 20 years ago, 50 kilowatts were saved per year, which is 35 times better. (Appliances | Natural Resources Canada. (n.d) Therefore, Canadian citizens need to do more home at home to decrease the amount of global
And, We might have a choice to get night bus, taxi and own cars all night. However, subway and streetcar work by electric power. It is well known that electronic public institutions
The chemical reaction which occurs between the electrolyte and the positive electrode internally in the battery then produces a buildup of positive ions, which are atoms that are missing electrons. The positive ions buildup at the cathode of the battery which
There are several mechanisms that monitor the cost of producing/providing power to these units. It includes the efficient usage of low energy consumption lights as well as not abusing electricity. Furthermore, the consumption is to be reduced during peak hours where the cost per unit is the highest. It is possible that the supply of these units is made effective based on an increase in the total capacity of the electricity to be delivered. This will increase the supply and enable the electricity providers to provide energy to these units in an efficient manner.
It’s really important to save energy because first of all , all the cost adds up second of all it reduces the amount of gasses and oils into our environment and it's not gonna hurt us to shut some lights off and unplug some unnecessary objects.
Now, the car owners are spent a lot of money and time to increase the look and increase its performance. LED light bars are the best for people those who looking to set the attractive light to their car. These lights are not only used as lighting equipment in home closets cupboards, but also used for cars and other vehicles by responders, firefighters and police as primary tools whenever emergency incident take place. LED light bars have a lot of benefits when compared to traditional ones. Apart from that, most of people prefer to use these led light bars for cars. This modern typ0e of light bars can be the right choice for you, if you want to reduce an electricity bill. It needs only a small amount of electricity to operate and allow installing the light bars on your vehicle easily. Without bothering that the light bars drain the batteries. There are many reasons why you want to use the light bars in their vehicle like car.
Direct current (DC): Electric current that flows in one direction and does not reverse itself.
I think main advantage of day light savings is more day light and more day light means saving energy which helps economy, day light saving means more visibility it helps business to make more profit, less night or dark time crime and the biggest disadvantage
A solar photovoltaic power system is a technology that converts the energy from sunlight into electrical energy. Residential solar photovoltaic systems can offset much of a household's power needs, depending on the size of the system and the household's needs. The output power from is directly proportional to power received from the sun, which varies throughout the day and year. The rated maximum output of the module might be achieved only occasionally, depending on actual site conditions. It is a renewable source of energy that is sustainable and totally inexhaustible. Solar energy is also a non-polluting source of energy that doesn’t emit any greenhouse gases when producing electricity.
The amount of electrical energy generated from the PV array exceeds the demand in the building. This helps offset the energy demand for the building while winter months as much energy is used in heating the rooms. To ensure low energy consumption levels, various innovative power-saving measures have been adopted. For instance, all office electrical panels go off automatically at night. Additionally, ecological plug systems have been incorporated in the laboratory to aid the laboratory users to disconnect nonessential equipment.
Now we will move onto other materials that are involved with electronics. The next group of materials that will be discussed are insulators. An insulator is a material that does not conduct electricity at all but will resist or stop it from traveling further. An insulating atom has eight electrons in its valance shell which makes this shell complete. Eight is the most electrons that any atoms can have in their valance shell this is why these are called insulators, no more electrons can fit in the valance shell of these atoms.
