A vast, rugged, sparsely populated land, its political culture was almost entirely shaped by the resource extractive industries that dominated its economy into the 1970s.

Plagiarism occurs when someone just rewords another’s words instead of using their own ideas. It can also occur when someone forgets to put quotation marks, give credit, or forget an in-text citation (Moxley). By forgetting to give credit in any situation, one is considered to have plagiarized.
Copying or close paraphrasing with occasional acknowledgement of the source may also be deemed to be plagiarism if the absence of quotation marks implies that the phraseology is the student’s own.

The problem of plagiarism can be seen in different areas. The most common is found in academics. Usually plagiarism is copying, stealing someone else ideas. A student who is found quilty of plagiarism can be suspended or expelled (Nall and Gherwash, 2012). When comp arrives the policies of Gorge Brown ands the definitions of plagiarism are virtually the same, but the presentation of rules concerning plagiarism are very different. While Gorge Brown is very concise, Seneca is more detailed, but lacks organization.
I believe that your passage is an example of plagiarism because you did not properly paraphrase and also you did not cite your sources, which are two essential things which must be done in order to avoid plagiarism. First of all, you did not properly paraphrase due to the fact that you only changed a few words and you barely changed the sentence structure which causes it to sound like the original passage. When paraphrasing you must change the passage into your own words and avoid copying exactly what the passage said. Another thing that you did not do was cite your sources which must be done in order to give credit to the original author because these are not your original ideas and thus you cannot claim that they are. When writing essays,
