Frequent Shopper Program Overview By: University of Phoenix BSA 310 Business Systems Kudler Fine Foods is a growing local upscale fine food store in San Diego. Kudler Fine Foods has three locations and specializes in bakery and pastry products, fresh produce, fresh meat, seafood, condiments, package foods, cheeses, and dairy products. Kudler Fine Foods mission is to “offer each customer a delightful and pleasing shopping outing.” With a mission statement, such as theirs Kudler Fine Foods wants to partner up with a loyalty rewards program company. If not consumers could be misled, and this could cause a lot of problems for the business. For example consumers might stop shopping at Kudler Fine Foods because they are constantly getting spammed. A lawsuit could be filed against Kudler Fine Foods because they feel intimidated by calls they receive after signing up for the rewards program. Kudler Fine Foods should only use the information obtained from consumers for the loyalty rewards program to help the business run more efficient. Selling consumers information to third parties would be unethical if not agreed to by consumers. Calling consumers at odd hours of the day, and blasting consumers with tons of e-mails would cause consumers to rethink the rewards program completely. It would help if during the application process if consumers are asked if they want to be contacted and if they preferred email or phone call.
