We all regret some of the choices we’ve had in the beginning of our high school journey. Since we can’t go back and change them, we can always give advice to the incoming freshman who may need our advice. Coming from middle school can be a hard transition because there are so many new things to learn. New students will face a new campus, teachers, friends, and overall a new way of life. I believe that freshman students who struggle to adapt into high school can lead to poor grades, peer pressure, and losing focus of long term goals. Here are some suggestions to help incoming freshman have a successful high school experience.

I thought Senior year would never come. Well it came and arrived sooner than I though. I've been planning life after high school for a while now but, this year makes everything seem surreal. I thought I had everything planned out, ready to go, and this year would be a piece a cake. I've never been more wrong. The stress of senior year and accomplishing what I need to to graduate so i can further my education in college is weighing me down. Sometimes I need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and just calm down. I know with everything in me I am cabe of whatever I set my mind to as long as I don't let minor obstacles hold me back.

I would like to ask you for a letter of recommendation for me to put into my application to become a First Sgt. I hope to become a First Sgt because I have a strong desire to work towards something greater than myself, I want to work with and help Airmen become more than they thought they could and to grow as individuals as well as become better citizen Airmen. A student's job is not done after the end of the day. There is always homework that still needs done or checked, editing a paper, studying for the test that is coming up next week, doing their own notes for chapters they read, reading textbooks, and trying to have a social life. They are still trying maintain good grades as best as they can. During all this pressure for freshman year college students tend to forget their roles in the classroom, responsibilities, and having mental and physical impediments for their learning. Students have the constant worries and fears but it still bad when getting yelled at by their parents, teachers, and their school for lack of engagement in the classroom. Obesity is an increasing problem in the United States, in which “the incidence of obesity among adults in the United States increased by 50% per decade throughout the 1980s and 1990s” (Morrow, Heesh, Dinger, Hull, Kneehans, and Fields, 2016). The current statistics that describes college students as overweight and obese is overwhelming since “38.5%” (Silvestri, and Bonis, 2009) of students are in this category.

Freshman 101 is a class adapted from the parrot program (Fay & Medway, 2006, p. 226). The parrot program was designed for college students at Cornell University. Freshman 101 is the first of its kind in the state of South Carolina and the first to extend Parrot’s college program to high school freshmen (p. 226). Each two-hour intervention class contained 25 to 30 freshmen students. The objectives of the class were to have participants understand the definition of acquaintance rape and the frequency that it takes place along with South Carolina’s laws regarding rape (p. 226). Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. My first day of senior year had been just like every other year, except my schedule was very basic. The goals I had in mind were mainly outside of my time in school. I had been taking college courses online to better prepare myself for college and to eliminate costs in classes, so I had to make sure I passed all of them. Another goal had been to save money from my job to accomplish personal goals after I exit high school.

If someone ask me what is my favorite memories in high school for now. I’ll says that is my sophomore year. Because sophomore year is the year that changed my mind and my life, the year that I meet my awesome friend and everyone look at me a different way and here is what happened to my sophomore year.

Time flies. I will soon finish high school and move to college. The first semester of senior year is the most important period during my life, but I still have a Dragon I need to beat. The Dragon is called Procrastination. He has troubled me for my whole life, and I have never killed him before. During my senior year, I have to try to combat him, beat him, and destroy him.

I can fairly say that sophomore year of high school has changed who I am completely. In sophomore year I decided to take on miscellaneous experiences to gain valuable work ethic that will help me to persist in college. These include joining a sport, and being accepted into a three year paid internship after going through an interview.Being the daughter of parents with a restricted income has limited my plans of funding my college education. My father is retired and my mother is a housewife which minimizes our financial abilities, however, this doesn’t prevent me from my pursuit of a college education. Gathering a sufficient amount to cover for my tuition and fees has been on my mind since sophomore year of high school, so I started to save up.

My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.

The fourth neighborhood will be a celebration of many of your favorite Pixar stories. In this neighborhood, Mickey’s Fun Wheel will have a new look, with each of the 24 gondolas featuring different Pixar characters and the iconic face of Mickey Mouse remaining on the Paradise Bay side of the wheel. At the Games of the Boardwalk, which already includes the Bullseye Stallion Stampede game, all of the midway games will be inspired by Pixar characters. Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk and Sideshow Shirts will close Jan. 8 to begin this transformation.
