Good Grades Keep Playing Kids should be kicked off of there sports teams for getting bad grades. What do you think, If you get a bad grade should you still be able to play sports, or just keep playing and have not so good grades? Yes, you need good grades If you have bad grades like at least a “ C” average you shouldn’t be able to play sports. What should happen is you should be kicked off of any sports teams and start working on your grades too boost them up, and once you get your good grades back you can join your team again. Why? Kids are practicing sports, playing video games, and watching movies etc. which leads to skipping their homework. They don’t want to do homework because they think their “ assignments” are more important than getting good grades but it’s the other way around. Nothing but good grades If you are getting bad grades and your parents see that your electronics should be taken and you should …show more content…
If you get bad grades and it’s because you can’t focus you can get things to help with that. Yeah, it can be pretty annoying when you get a bad grade but you just need to try to focus on what you are doing, and if that means you need to give up sports for a little while then you should do that. No kids should get “ F’s” on everything, If you do then there’s something going on that you should probably talk to someone professional about. Don’t say goodbye If you get bad grades and you are kicked off the team work for what you want, and that should be to get bat on your team. Get your good grades back and rejoin the team if want it you can work for it and if you can’t work then don’t just let your dreams go to waste and be crumbled up and thrown down into the trash. But you need to reach into the clouds and pull out your best work and serve it too your teacher like it’s their favorite meal, and if it truly is your best you’ll be back on the
What is more important, good grades or sports? You always hear about big dumb jocks in the movies getting kicked off the team for their bad grades, but is this justified. Should students be kicked off the team for bad grades? No, students should not be kicked off the team for bad grades.
School is a place for students to learn and grow academically. Being athletic has nothing to do with your academic skills therefore P.E. should not count as a grade. If a student is not “athletic enough” for the game that is being played they get points deducted which will lower their GPA. For the students who are athletic and want
The “No Pass No Play” rule states that public school students who participate in extracurricular activities must achieve a passing grade in each grading period in order to be permitted to continue participating in extracurricular activities. Meaning that every athlete has to have a 70% or higher average in every class to be able to do something they are talented at or something that they enjoy. A number between 0 and 100 determines a student's intelligence and whether they are able to take part in extracurricular activities. Athletes should still be able to play sports even if they have failing grades. Sports aren’t the thing that cause the failing grade it's the athlete's attitude. The “No Pass No Play” rule isn’t fair to athletes and they
Everyone knows academics are the main point of school, but athletics have begun to take over and draw away from that focus. Many individuals believe school sports are more important than ever; however, cost is excessive and players often think about upcoming games or matches, detracting attention from homework. Therefore, districts should eliminate after-school sports because they cost tremendous amounts of money, cause academic failure, and are a major distraction.
The law states that a student is required to be in school by the age of six and remain enrolled until the age of sixteen, nowhere in the law does it say that it is mandatory for anyone to play sports. Students will spend most of their time and energy at practices or at games, but when it comes time to do their homework or study they won’t do it because it wasn’t their first priority. So by having the rule that they need to keep their grades up students take more initiative to do their work and to complete it so they can play in games.
Have you ever wanted to play a sport but weren't able to because you don't have good enough grades. Well, that's life for you, because if you really badly with all of you heart wanted to play a sport you would just have to try a little harder to get your grades up. If you think about it, it's not that hard to maintain a C average because you could have a D in one class and an A in another and that would bring you up to a C average. Also, if you can't keep your grades up how committed are you going to be in sports when you're not even able to do easy things like school work. Therefore, the policy that states students must maintain a C average in order to participate in school sports, clubs, and other after-school activities is fair.
Today, majority of kids mainly focus on doing their absolute best academically, and they also enjoy after school sports. Though some students are doing great in school; many do not have the time to do homework because of these activities. Therefore, schools should get rid of extra curricular sports because they will save money, it boosts testing scores, and it allows students’ to focus on work.
Do you believe that it’s fair for student athletes to have a requirement to pass in school to play a sport? Athletes should be required to make good grades to play a sport because it helps the athlete learn responsibility, it makes it fair for the following teammates , and it will make the athlete study harder.
Should there be grade requirement for athletics? Should athletes have to be on the honor roll in order to play? Many states and schools have many different opinions to both questions.
Studies have shown that some kids who play sports cannot procure school as well, therefore falling bellow average grades. Very few students who do participate in sports can handle their homework load. Kids that do not have the best grades most likely flunk in high school or do not obtain a scholarship to go to college, or get a minimum wage job. Students should be required to maintain a certain grade point average to participate in sports. Therefore this requirement should be obtained in all schools.
Recently American test scores have been down but the first thing people blame for this epidemic is sports. Instead of looking at the infrastructure of our school system. Sports are ingrade in American culture and how we life so to just take them away would be dractace. Sports should stay in schools because the keep kids out of trouble, help kids get better grades, and it helps them later on in their life.
“ When you invest your time, you make a goal and a decision of something that you want to accomplish. Whether it's make good grades in school, be a good athlete, be a good person, go down and do some community service and help somebody who's in need, whatever it is you choose to do, you're investing your time in that.” was said by Nick Saban. This is reminiscent of the hard times students athletes face. That sports don't help keep your grades up with these three reasons. First, a student could be failing all their tests and get a hundred percent on homework and still get to play. Second, due to sports, athletes may have to skip school which could cause them to get behind in their schoolwork. The third reason is a classmates would have to put
We all want to succeed in life but to be able to do that you need good grades. you know how many athletes who were really good at a sport but didn't have the grades so they got dropped. so many everywhere and it will teach you to keep your grades up with habits and responsibility. you have a mindset that if you don't do your work you will not play. School is first, then sports.
When participation in a sport in high school, it may interfere with class work, meaning an athlete may have to leave class early in order to participate in a game or tournament. With doing so, it is up to the student to get their work done. They have to make it up on their own time in order to make up what they missed in class. This teaches students time management and motivates students to try their best in order to make up work they missed. All coaches should take into consideration that if a student does not have the grades, then the athlete may not participate in competition or practice. Even this rule applies to the team’s best athlete, grade ineligibility applies to everyone. When it comes to high school, the sport itself generates motivation to keep the student on top of things and wanting to thrive for greatness in academics and athletics as well (“Merkel,”). All students should know that grades come before athletics. This will make student athletes aware of the minimum GPA that will be needed to be maintained in order to participate in athletics (“The Benefits of Participating in Sports”). Consequently, it forces students to learn
The first part of the school sports is grades and if you don’t have the grades you aren’t able to play. If you are the star player and you don’t have the grades you just lost your star player in whatever sport you need him in. I have been in those shoes and it is never ever fun personally I have learned to like it because I always try to push myself now to keep my grades up. No One wants to do homework but it has to be done if you don’t you will fail trust me on this one don’t let yourself down and not do your homework.
