Barack Obama is the forty-fourth and first black president of the United States of America. Obama was born in Hawaii on April 4th, 1961. He was raised as a black and white child since his mother was a white American and his father was a black kenyan (“Barack Obama: Life Before the Presidency”). Through the use of Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) funds the banks and automobile companies avoided bankruptcy (“Barack Obama: Domestic Affairs”). Obama also managed to come up with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which was aimed to prevent states from laying off employees (“Barack Obama: Domestic Affairs”). On February 17, 2009 the act was signed by Obama (“Barack Obama: Domestic Affairs”). During his presidency, Obama also aimed to make the health care system better. He then attended St. Francis Assisi for his 1st through 3rd grade years which were 1968-1970.
