There will be an option for searching and editing resident's information, as well as delete option for information that is no longer needed. 1.5 Significance of the Study The proposed system will have a significant effect on both the residents and the personnel of barangay San Juan who use the Barangay Record System because of the quickness and easiness of storing and retrieving data regardless of how many items will be stored. The record system can make files separately managed and can filter only the exact information needed by the user. Also storage medium is reliable so that both the resident and the personnel won’t find themselves that their files were missing. Barangay Captain/Administrator. The Administrator has the ability to open locked account due to login failure and he is the only authorized person to access the locked database. Secretary. Barangay secretary can easily manage the files and information and this will also eliminates numerous numbers of papers that is usually kept. Using the system, the secretary can now add, update, retrieve and save files easily. Residents. Residents can easily get the transaction they only need in a short period of time. And also, with the use of the Barangay record system, they can acquire documents, information, transactions such as barangay clearance, indigent, calamity and the like without
