I’ve been at Barrington Middle School for three years. It is the place where I transitioned from a child bright-eyed and ready for the world, to the older, if not wiser young adult, that I am today. I’ve been here through the good times and the bad as I went from year to year. I am leaving this institution of knowledge more prepared because of AVID. I am leaving ready for my life ahead. In 6th grade, I was so excited, I was so ready for the future. I couldn't wait to grow up. I had a group of friends who I followed around. I was on Team Cornell. Mr. Gratzick was the best science teacher I had my entire middle school career. That’s not saying much considering my other teachers but Mr. Gratzick was great. He always made sure we were having
Jake was a freshman, having just enrolled at the local community college. He was for the most part a good kid, except that he had hung around with the wrong crowd, and this had made him the unfortunate victim of circumstance.
Young, but driven, Jorge began dancing in the spring of his senior year at Sharyland High School. He was welcomed into Melba's School of Dance's family where he was introduced to ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and folklorico.
For years, past principals of Sherwood Middle School have grouped kids based on history and looks. It has brought the students to hatred of these staff members. For the past two years the oldest prisoners at Sherwood Middle School have had to endure the wrath of the strict and mean guards. Now there's a new one that is making the kids think twice. In the second paragraph, we will talk about the old principle, what he was like and what kids thought of him. In the third paragraph, we will talk a little about the new principal, why he's here and where he came from. Lastly, will we talk about how the students reacted and what they think of the change.
Ring! The loud bell sounded and the children came and went running past Maggie. She told her mom she would go straight to the office when the bell rang, whatever that meant. Now it made sense. Well, there it is, she thought as she glanced at the huge big block letters.
Breaking news from Belle Plaine Middle School! A girl on Venus name Margot has been stuck in a closet during the one hour of sun!
Fellow classmates of West Peace High School, It's been a long four years. We’ve worried about test and quizzes, turned in thousands of assignments, stressed over procrastinated projects , and all managed to somehow keep our grades up. Those were the days that we were high schoolers. But we are no longer. June 6, 1959 marks the day that we were considered high schoolers, now graduates.
Trump, the businessman who's currently leading the Republican presidential field, addressed a crowd of hundreds from the front entrance of Urbandale High School — the result of a lobbying effort by students to lure a presidential candidate to their homecoming festivities.
Today in DeKalb school was off so all three of us stayed home. Dave went to his work, which is 3M and Jane went to work, her work is teaching. At 8:10 Nhi woke me up telling me to go downstairs to open the door for Diane. Our babysitter because it was required that we couldn’t stay home alone. Diane came in and I went upstairs to hang out with Nhi. My woke up and went downstairs and talked to Diane. Nhi and I were talking. We didn’t talk much because she typed me stuff on note. I was reading it but Diane said we needed to get dressed because Judy, another person from Rockford was coming. When she came she didn’t bring any stuff. She asked us specific stuff we wanted. Of course I wanted my cat stuff since it contained my dairy. She asked us if
The seniors of James High School are having a sleepover during the weekend at the school. Although it won't be as fun as they think.
Swoosh! goes the car door as I close it. I push the doors open like pearly golden gates as I walk into the building. It seems oddly quiet on this Thursday morning. Usually kids are jumping off the walls like maniacs. Other than that, it seems like a normal day at Harrison Middle School.
If you knew anything about Penelope Wood you wouldn’t expect her to be lying dead on the cold cement just meters away from the last incident, and yes this isn’t the first time someone has “committed suicide” at Middle Park High. I find it absurd that anyone would ever think she would purposely climb to the top of the science block and jump, like what makes those stupid cops think it was a suicide? Not to mention only the teachers had keys to the stairs after what Thomas did. Something like this would never have crossed her mind and I most definitely know this because she was my friend, not just because she was the only one who stuck by when everyone else harassed me after my Mother made me cut my hair like a boy but because we were almost the
The word success means very differently for each and every person. Success can range from just getting up from bed to go make coffee to making money at a job that you like. In the Oxford Dictionary, by definition, success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My story begins when I was in 8th grade at Leyva Middle School. I was in 4th period Algebra 1 alongside many 7th graders and a few 8th graders. In my 7th grade year, I was in the this new program called Bulldog Tech and I had pre-Algebra. In my Algebra class, my teacher, Mr. Nguyen, gave the class a project of creating a presentation of a job that you would like to do in the future. The requirement for the presentation to qualify was to show one way how math is used in your selected job. Mr. Nguyen gave the whole class a week to choose and learn about a job from what you do to the salaries.
English hasn’t always been the best subject for me, I have always had problems understanding text that we would read in school. There have been many moments in my life where I have felt as if I wasn’t as bright as everyone else. When someone is put in a situation that makes them feel less of a person or that they lack intelligence of some sort it makes them feel lower than everyone else.
It was a normal school day in November at Lockport Middle School. The sun was out, full of children laughing and playing at recess. My friend and I were talking and she asked me if I would want to go shopping with her in Baton Rouge the next day. I could not wait to go home and ask my mom. I love shopping! The school day dragged only because I couldn’t wait for the next day to come. When I finally got home I asked my mom and she told me that I had to go see my mawmaw before I went. She has been telling me lately that I needed to go see her soon because she was sick. I always made excuses because mawmaw always gets sick, but she always gets out of it! She’s a strong woman, I know she will get through it. I finally convinced my mom to let me go see her when I got back from shopping.
As I walked through the woods behind the BMS building on the cool fall morning I searched for my "thinking spot". Each step I took came with crunch of a dried up leaves and sometimes a possible snap of a fallen stick beneath me on the forest floor. As I say against an old and big tree I felt the sun warm my leg as I took in the scenery. I looked around to see the usual fall woods, tree stumps, large trees and colorful leaves that coated the ground at my feet. In the distance I spotted out a house and could hear the chaos of construction of a new house being built. I pondered of what was here in this woods behind Biddeford Middle School years ago. Years and years before people could easily find themselves with nature. Now you turn you neck
