The Dred Scott Decision of 1857 ruled that African-Americans, even ones who were not enslaved, were not protected under The Constitution and could never be citizens. This brings up questions that will be answered in this paper. Should slaves be American citizens? Is it morally correct for one to own another human? Does the Dred Scott decision contradict The Declaration of Independence which states that every man is created equal?

Well, Todd Frazier is a great all around athlete who grew up in Toms River, NJ. Todd exceeded at baseball in his hometown and is still exceeding in the MLB. He has won many awards such as the Golden Glove award in 2015 and the Heart and Hustle award last year. Todd is a great influence for all ages in our community no matter their age.

Scott W. Williams is an African American male. Scott Williams was born April 22, 1943 in Staten Island, New York. He was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. Scott Williams is an only grandchild. His grandparents strongly valued Education. All of his aunts and uncles on both sides had Master's degrees at least. Scott Williams' father's father taught in an integrated elementary school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His mother's Algonquin Indian mother was a business woman who also formed a Colored woman's reading group in 1900 Bangor, Maine. His mother Beryl E. Williams was the first Black to graduate from the University of Maine in 1936, later earning the M.S. in mathematics in 1940. His father, Roger K. Williams, was one of the first Blacks to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology at Penn State University in 1946. When he was 12, Scott Williams' mother took him to see the M.I.T. campus during a family trip to Boston. After her description of the Institute as a great place of mathematical learning, he said, "Mom, I will get a Ph.D. here in Mathematics."

Walter payton was born on July 25, 1954 in Columbia, Mississippi. One thing that makes him interesting is that he was alive while the U.S. was in the Cold War and the Vietnam War. Another interesting fact is that Walter Payton could lift a lot of pounds with his legs and his arms. When he was in Highschool he went to the Columbia School District. Walter had two siblings when he was younger. Walter had a sister and a brother and was the youngest out of all of them.
Brandon Sanderson is a fantasy and science fiction writer, who is very successful in what he does. Starting at the very beginning, Sanderson was born December 19, 1975 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Throughout school he never liked reading the books his teachers would give him. Until 8th grade his reading teacher gave him the book “Dragonsbane” by Barbara Hambly. He fell in love and he began to become an avid reader. He enjoyed reading books from the authors who wrote about science or fantasy. He went to college to study chemistry, but soon left for his mission in Seoul, Korea. Brandon got back and realized he didn’t miss chemistry. While going to BYU, he became an English major. Although his mother wished he would be a doctor, he found love in writing. Working at a front desk of a hotel making little money, he wrote 7 short novels. Brandon
Bernie was born on September 8, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York City. He was an active civil rights protest organizer for the Congress of Racial Equality and the student Nonviolent Coordinating committee while attending University of Chicago. After graduating from college, Sanders returned to New York City, where he initially worked at a variety of jobs, including Head Start teacher, psychiatric aide, and carpenter. In 1968, Sanders moved to Vermont because he had been "captivated by rural life." After his arrival, there he worked as a carpenter, filmmaker, and writer who created and sold "radical film strips" and other educational materials to schools. He also wrote several articles for the alternative publication The Vermont Freeman.
On august 9th, 1986 Deon sanders Jr. was born. Now he is a 21 year old NCAA football player with a lot of talent. He plays for the SMU mustangs and they are 1- 11 at least. He has never made a touchdown yet but he will. As a kid sanders Jr. wanted to play football just like his dad. He has changed his dads life forever, he has made his dad proud he has made his dad mad but, he tried and gave it his all.
