Introduction: The purpose for this research paper is to introduce and familiarize students with the basic concepts and components of electric vehicles. In doing so, we will be able to give a better and more detailed explanation of the luxurious Tesla Model S electric vehicle’s components such as the battery, its methods of charging and the types of motors that are implemented in the Model S, and how the Model S sets itself apart from the rest of the competition, whether it be electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, or vehicles that implement an internal combustion engine or even the most fastest of racecars ever made such as the Mclaren F1.
History of electric vehicles: Electric vehicles are praised for their ability to travel a considerable amount of distance using only electricity without having to constantly stop at gas station to refuel and in turn decreasing their carbon footprint;however, because they are running on all electricity and are not using an internal combustion engine, they are able to achieve fast take off speeds (acceleration) but are unable to acquire fast top speeds because of their lack of gears. In addition to being unable to achieve high top speeds, it takes the electric vehicles a considerable amount of time to fully recharge their battery packs and get them back on the road. The Tesla Model S however is able to go above and beyond the standard electric vehicles in the sense that it can achieve fast acceleration, a very high top speed,
They sell electric vehicles, and electric vehicles only. The most popular car Tesla has released is the Model S, which is a luxury electric sedan that sells for $70,000. The Model S was voted the Motor Trend Car of 2013, and according to Tesla is one of the safest cars ever, but there is one big difference from any other electric car. The battery in each Tesla car is actually made up of thousands of lithium-ion cells, which is different than most electric vehicles. Electricity charges a battery to give the Model S power for a certain period of time, and is similar to a laptop or smartphone. In fact, the company uses lithium-ion batteries just like the type that powers laptops worldwide. This is the key difference between a Tesla electric car and a hybrid, it is all electric and has to be charged, but a car such as a Prius runs partially on gasoline but does not have to be charged. There are a few ways to charge the car. Tesla suggest you get a high power wall charger installed, and there are also supercharging stations across the United States and Canada. When fully charged, the Model S can travel at 55 miles per hour for up to 300 miles. The technology that is put in these cars is so far ahead of the competition; Tesla could very easily be the car company of the future.
Tesla electric cars first appeared as small, sporty two-seaters. On March 26, 2009, the Tesla Model S was released and marketed as the top-performing all-electric luxury SUV in its class. Considering the Model S’s impressive performance capacities, they make a sound argument. David Ener, writer for Canada’s “The Globe and Mail” newspaper describes his experience of driving the Model S
Electrical vehicle technology has been present for a while and is a proven technology that need only reshaping to meet the global need. Though, in the past, the technology had failed to compete with the internal combustion engine due to initial cost, the technology has done well in recent years. Electric vehicle, EV, ability to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases, like carbon and carbon dioxide, and the advantages it enjoys, such as low maintenance and running cost, can enhance its market competitiveness. However, as experts try to make its charging system more efficient and its ability to store a charge more long lasting, the global need continues to rise. This research proposal, therefore, aimed at addressing an issue like government involvement, can enhance improved use of EV, development of better EV batteries, energy management system and fast charging which can help enhance the use of Electrical Vehicles and how electric vehicle drive train and the battery can be redesigned to make it affordable.
Through all of this information, Tesla and traditional gas powered car owners have learned more about the Tesla and how it is not as environmentally friendly as society may portray it to be. Hopefully the readers of this paper learn that you must be educated before they buy a certain product.
Electric cars such as the tesla are stylish and great for the lovely environment. Today you
The company leans towards not only manufacturing electric vehicles, but also producing and selling components of electric vehicles such as Lithium-ion batteries. In 2008, the company produced the Tesla Roadster, its first all-electric sport car. The vehicle is a high performer and can drive up to 250 miles with the use of one lithium-ion Polymer battery pack, which has the capability of stringing twice the energy of a conventional automobile (Mangram, 2012). In addition, the vehicle is capable of accelerating up to 60 mph within four seconds and has a limited top speed of 125 mph. Another car option, the Tesla Model S, aimed at targeting the middle-class customers, starts at a much lower price when compared to the Roadster. The company has
Tesla is a world-famous luxurious car brand which is known for its electric vehicles and energy. The founder of Tesla is Martin Eberhard and the co-founders are Elon Musk, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright, and it is founded on July 1, 2003 as Tesla Motors. Furthermore, the main industries of Tesla are automotive and energy storage. Nowadays, Tesla has their three types of cars that are noticed by the car freaks word-widely. The first one is Model S, known as the safest. The reason why it is, because the performance has been redefined to the “Tesla’s all-electric powertrain” (Tesla). What’s more is that it can be accelerated from 0 to 60 mph. The main concept of Model S is to be the safest type. However, another type of Tesla is the Model X.

The American engineers that formed Tesla Motors wanted to prove that electric cars could be better than gasoline powered cars. Tesla’s products would be cars without compromise and the mission was “to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy”. Since they launched their first car, they have only improved their products and today Tesla have three electric cars on the market
Electric cars represent any vehicle that relies exclusively on electricity as its power source. There are variations on the theme, which include plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (EVs) and standard hybrid models, but those vehicles also have gasoline engines. Thus, they don’t come with the same electric car anxieties as pure EVs.
Electric cars are becoming very popular in today’s world and are becoming more main stream. One reason for this is the need for automobiles that have a lower or a zero carbon footprint. For the majority of the history of the automobile, the propulsion system was a gas or a diesel engine that would run off of fossil fuels. The burning of fossil fuels is very hazardous to our world and also creates much toxic pollution. However, electric cars run off of electricity, which is a very clean and pollution free resource, depending on how the electricity was produced of course. In this paper we are going to examine the history of electric cars, look into modern electric car technology, and peer into the future of electric car technology to see if EVs might be the answer to dramatically reducing our global pollution.
In the early twentieth century, electric cars had been driven as renowned as gas-fuelled cars in North America until the popularity of electric cars did not last long due to the limited power and plodding speed.
Wong goes on to say that the Roadster doesn’t have a reverse gear either, but instead runs the motor in the opposite direction to reverse. Because of this, the Roadster is “one of the only high-performance vehicles that runs as fast in reverse as it does in drive.” On top of such a unique innovation, the motor is also efficiently used for regenerative braking. Wong mentions that drivers can charge the ESS with just 220 V, using Tesla’s incredibly fast onboard charger. A full recharge takes 3.5 hours. When it comes down to it, completely electric vehicles have been around for a while, but they have never had as much commercial success as energy-efficient vehicles that use fossil fuels. Ethanol, hydrogen, coal, and oil are all not as energy efficient as the lithium-ion run electric vehicles are and can be. The ESS Tesla has created has raised the bar for the efficiency of electric vehicles and knocked down virtually all other sources for vehicle power.
The purpose for this research report is so that students can familiarize themselves with hybrid electric vehicles and their features that make them unique in contrast to other vehicles. This report will educate the reader on the “BMW i8’s” vital components such as the engine, battery, and other elements related to electric vehicles. To put into perspective the significant advantage hybrid electric vehicles have over vehicles
For the past 200 years, the electric car has steadily gained popularity as an alternative to gas-powered cars. Electric cars are vehicles that use electricity to be powered and create zero tailpipe emissions. Electric cars have recently become a controversial topic ever since the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975 was enacted.
