In the upcoming summer of Junior year, I experienced a valuable lesson about life that occurred in a Basketball game. To begin with, the Independence Basketball team had offseason training for the whole summer. During that summer, my teammates and i worked extremely hard to become an unstoppable Junior Varsity team. As the team trained, we were entered to play at Arizona Christian University for almost the whole summer. In short, we have never played at ACU before and were excited to play. As we played teams at ACU, the Independence Jv only lost 2 games in total and entered the ACU tournament. In the tournament, we were playing in the Semifinals against Moon Valley. I remember that day, as a team, we all motivated each other and were focused to …show more content…
Nevertheless, team Power was a club Basketball team and they were fresh before the Championship game. Furthermore, Independence did not have an hour rest nor was the game rescheduled for a different time. Likewise, our team of six players rested for about 15 minutes max before tip-off. Equally important, one of our players experienced an injury against Moon Valley and adversity was staring right at us. Team Power was the only team that beat independence by 30 points;they were on fire that day. In my Life, i faced adversity every single day and i was used to the challenge; however, i could not speak for my teammates. Overall, team power had an advantage with more players, fresh bodies, and a great amount of team chemistry. Eventually, nothing mattered once the referee threw the ball in the air because, this game was all about heart at this point. As the game went on, it was a very close game that only had single digit leads. Finally, as the 4th quarter came along, the game was tied and we were all tired expect for team power (with about 12 players). In conclusion, team Power won by two points and i truly hated that team. I was very upset and i will always remember their faces as they celebrated and took photos in front of
The day College of Faith football team played, Missouri S&T was in the fall of 2015, it was cold. At the time me and my brothers on the football team came off a big lost to the Cougars of St. Francis. The St.Francis Cougars Are located in Fort Wayne, Texas. They are a very big school, the cougars were undefeated the whole year round. After the 65-0 lost to the cougars, we the College of Faith, had a game against Missouri S&T. I felt like a raging superstar on field, I had 8 tackles, 1 big blindside sack and 1 pass deflect, it was very cool and also sunny. Unfortunately, we got demolish, the whole team quit.We lost 64-0 Football taught me to value my life more and be more ongoing to learn new things.
All they had to do was beat this team and then move on to beat Duke, a hard game but I believed they could do it. The game against Wisconsin in Indianapolis was a lot tighter than people believed, but I was never worried. Kentucky just finished off an 8-0 run and they held Wisconsin's defense at a standstill, Kentucky was going to go 39-0. Wisconsin had other plans though, they went on a 8-0 run themselves, and then tied the game with 3-pointer that was considered, by many, a shot clock violation. My heart stopped. Wisconsin had tied with Kentucky and they had the momentum built up as well. They went on an offensive rebound streak of 11 to have a total of 13 second chance points which was enough to beat Kentucky 71-64. Possibly the biggest upset of NCAA men’s basketball of the century had just happened, and I was on the losing side of it. Beside this moment in time, I was pretty chill went it came to competitions I was competing in, but something was different about this one. Kentucky should've won, and then they should've beat Duke to become the best college basketball team in history. This is not what happened however, they lost to Wisconsin, who lost to Duke. For the for the time in my life I felt dramatic disappointment in someone or something other than myself. That was a time a faced disappointment in memorable game, and how I still haven't dealt with yet. However, Rick Pitino, the coach for Kentucky before John Calipari, once said, “Failure is good. It is fertilizer. Everything I've learned about coaching, I've learned from making mistakes.” Everyone needs to fail every once in awhile, if we don't we never learn, if we don't we aren't
The 2016-2017 Chino Hills Basketball season was clearly one for the books. The team was full of great players, and they definitely have a bright future ahead of them. Although the end of the season didn’t result in a CIF win the way last year did, the Huskies still had a great season. There were many great memories and great games that will always be remembered. Chino Hills’ season ended Tuesday, March 14 in the second round of State CIF against Bishop Montgomery. The Huskies finished with a very impressive 30-3 record. There were some great moments, such as when sophomore commit to UCLA, LaMelo Ball, scored 92 points in one game! Not only did he score 92 points, LaMelo dedicated the game to a Husky student, Lexi Anderson. He was able to make
Los Angeles Lakers got the better of the visiting Memphis Grizzlies with a 107-100 victory at the Staple Center on Tuesday evening.
Western Conference third and fourth leading teams Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clipper have tested the waters, as potential playoff showdown with the two ballclubs is fast approaching.
With the Oklahoma City Thunder taking a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors the reaction is split between counting the Warriors out and expecting a comeback. I'm counting the Warriors out and my argument is convincing, just watch Game 5. Two of three of the next games may be in Golden State where the Warriors set a record by staying undefeated in the regular season for a long time, but the Warriors can't hang in OKC and the Thunder only need one win. The Thunder is clicking in so many ways, and it should lead them to a title.
For the past few years I have dedicated my time to extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and my employment at Jamba Juice. When I am not in the classroom, at home studying, or doing homework, I devote a vast majority of my time to practice. I play varsity Basketball as well as swim for my high school. Both teams require we practice every day of the week beginning before their respective seasons. At the end of this current season, I will have been on my high school basketball team for a total of three years. When basketball season is not in session, I participate in an outside basketball league. I have done this for the past two years. During this time, we practice three times a week and have tournaments every other weekend. I made the
All season long we were hoping for a team out east to emerge as a potential challenge to the Cleveland Cavaliers. While the east has gotten much more competitive than in years past, with parity throughout, as shown by two game sevens in the first round. The parity has been from seeds two through eight and Cleveland is still the class of the east.
The (3-21) Los Angeles Lakers are back in the city of angels to host the (10-15) Milwaukee Bucks. Tonight’s game, the Bucks first of a Western Conference road trip, hoping to utilize the energy and effort displayed in their 108-95 upset win over the Golden State Warriors as a catalyst for success.
On September 18, 2015 there was a football game at The King’s Academy High School in Sunnyvale California. Many of the men and women in attendance were there to support either a child, sibling, or classmate as they played their second game of the season. What typically goes on at these games is that the players play the game while the spectators watch and cheer for their team. In addition to the players and spectators, there are also coaches and officials who's job is to make sure that the players run the plays correctly and do not break any rules in the process. Volunteers are often standing at the gates taking tickets and in the snack bar area cooking food for people in attendance to buy. Football plays an important role to all of them and is a big part of the
It was the night we played volleyball against Wheaton for playoffs. The first two games we crumbled, but the third game we found our fire. It was caught up in our heads that on paper Wheaton was supposed to win and move on in playoffs. But now after the third game it gave us a motivation and made us play even harder to win.
Various Bitcoin sportsbook has set its NBA Championship 2017 predictions. Most are seeing the Warriors taking home the cup this season.
When the Nets moved from New Jersey to Brooklyn in 2013, the team had a great season finishing fourth in the Eastern Conference. The team had a great team with Joe Johnson and Deron Williams in the starting backcourt, Brook Lopez playing center, Reggie Evans grabbing 10+ boards every night, Andray Blatche having a comeback year, and a developing MarShon Brooks. Unfortunately, the Nets lost to the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the playoffs in 7 games. Currently, the Brooklyn Nets are 0-7 and are sitting in the bottom of the Atlantic Division. Through the last 4 seasons, the Nets made a few trades that only benefited the team for only 1-2 seasons. Out of all the trades to occur, the Gerald Wallace trade has to be the biggest bust and the
Golden State matched the start of the 1948-49 Washington Capitals,'93-94 Houston Rockets, and surpassed the 57’ & 58’ Boston Celtics for the start by a defending champion. The Warriors can break the record Tuesday night at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The basic way that I used to make profit is Trade on spread. I would take a long or short position based on the dynamic difference between the spot price and future price. Normally, I am willing to trade on the size of 20 contracts to ensure that I have sufficient margin to use when I firstly make a loss on these contracts. Some other matters will be explained in the following games that I have played in my personal game order.
