There was this one worst experience where I was playing a sport. It was during basketball tryouts for the high school team. It was the day of tryouts. When I went, I went with a lot of confidence. Although, I made some mistakes which were my layups, turnovers, and drills. The basketball tryouts was fun, but I kept missing layups. Layups are the easiest shots to make in the game of basketball. We practiced so many times with the left and right handed layups. I missed so many wide open layups, it seems easy, but that is difficult when going at fast pace. My main thing I needed to work on was making less turnovers. Turnovers are the least thing you want to do during a basketball game. Making one turnover can make a huge difference.
Basketball has always been an easy sport for me. I was the team captain and one of the carriers of the team. I was quite confident in myself and knew the consequences of not playing. But when I became a freshman in high school and could not play on the middle school team I had one option, to play on the varsity team. I was nervous because I had made friends on the middle school team but did not know the dynamic of the varsity team. When the first practice rolled around I was anxious.

I tried to play basketball, and i was really bad at playing because i had played softball all of my life i have never played anything else other than softball. My Dad tried to help me practise basketball but he didn’t know how to play either because he only played baseball. I was not any good at it, and i hated it because it was so hard to play and every time my coach would yell at me i didn’t know why because he never explained to me what i was doing wrong. I did want to give up because i hated it and i could not play at all and our team never won a game. I will try knew things out in the future and i hope that i will succeed in what i want to do because i am a person who sets their mind to things and gets them done even if it takes me my
Nevertheless, I eventually found out about after-school basketball workouts. I knew that by having more practice and preparation,
In the NBA, basketball players are prosecuted to have masculine body and skilled on dribbling the ball. Each team consist of 5 players who have basketball positions. Learning how to shoot a basketball correctly will increase your shot percentage. The first stage, is to make sure your body is parallel to the basket. You start by making sure your feet are shoulder width apart. Now slightly move your shooting foot forward. When you have your feet in the correct position, slightly bend your knees. When your feet and knees are in the correct position, your next step is to make sure your hips are parallel to the basket. The second stage, is preparing your body for the correct movement. Start by making sure your shoulders are square to the basket; in addition, to the shoulders your elbow also needs to be straight. Now make sure your hands are holding the basketball properly. To properly hold a basketball, place
Towards the end of my freshman year of high school I was getting ready for school cheer tryouts. I felt confident with myself because I was doing my best. I practiced every night before tryouts. During tryouts I wasn't nervous at all and I felt confident in myself. When I went to look at the list that night I walked up and didn't see my name, I was devastated. I thought that it was my biggest failure in life ever but it wasn't, it was actually one of the biggest life lessons I've learned.

The first thing to practice on is dribbling. Dribbling is one of the most crucial skills to have. Good dribbling enables the player to move around more and get to places quicker. The best way to improve this skill is to dribble 2 basketballs, one in each hand. This task will be especially hard for the secondary hand, but improvement should be noticed within a few moments. Once the
The first thing we are going to work on is funmental things like; how to dribble, how to play defense, and our jump shots. The reason we are going to work on our dribbling, because if you can’t dribble you will turn the ball over. Dribbling is important in basketball. After we get done doing that, we’re going to work on our defense. When you play defense it stop the other team for scoring because defenses stop offense. Lastly, we have to work on is our jumps shots, because you can’t always do lay-ups.
My experience with basketball began in late July of 2005 when my cousin came to stay with us; my mom informed me that I would have to take my cousin Mo to the basketball court in our neighborhood. I had
First and foremost, I learned how to go beyond myself. As I was growing up, I acknowledged that no matter how many times I practice crossover by setting up flip-flops as cones, shooting at the cracked spot on the wall or strengthen myself by running around the yard, I could not be the best player by myself. It became clear to me about what I had to do: Learn, and the best place to do this was at public courts. These were such unique places because players came from everywhere with distinct skill sets, but all aimed for one target, becoming better basketball players. My grasp flourished as time went by. I attained expertise from simple things like keeping my off-hand not touching the ball to have better shots or lowering my upper body to make my crossover more effective, to more complicated aspects: predicting the direction of my opponents’ drives or finishing around the baskets with various angles. All the insights I gained made me a better player and yet I found it insufficient. In the end, I took home the lesson of to always keep a thirst for learning and to always attach myself to the people whose goals are the same
Although I was never really that good at it I loved to play but my biggest problem with me playing was I was afraid to take risk outside of my comfort zone. So whenever I got the ball passed to me I would just hold it and pass it off to the next guy over. I wouldn’t have any kind of aggression with the ball. I wouldn’t think about taking the ball to the hoop or shooting it. With this kind of mindset to the game it was really easy to take me out of the game and put me on the bench and keep me there. Then as I said before I would shut down and think bad about myself and that is not the mindset you need to play the game. I didn’t find this out until the summer of my senior year. It was during a team basketball trip up to Fort Kent Maine that I learned that if you don’t take the risk of failing then you’ll get no
The truth is I have never really actually wanted to try anything. But maybe this time I will like it. So after school I went with Peter and the other basketball players to the park. When I got there I was actually kinda excited to play something that I have never done before. When I picked up the basketball and started dribbling the ball it was the greatest feeling that I have ever felt my whole life. With all this excitement i shot the ball from what is called the three point line, and just like that my very first shot went straight through the net without even hitting the rim.
The first day of practice was horrible. I had no idea what I was doing and I was so scared! I could not even make a single basket. I thought everyone was looking at me and was wondering what I was doing there. Practices did not seem to get any better. The first game was in a few days. I was really anxious and worried.
