Simon Gittany was a male perpetrator. In almost 4 out of 5 intimate partner homicides the perpetrator was a male (Australian Institute of Criminology 1998).
The shooting occurred at the Fruitvale train station on January 1st, 2009. At the station, a fight broke out in one of the trains and when the train stopped the fight started again outside of the train at one of the stops. While they were fighting on the train the BART officers were called. The officers came and arrested everyone that was in the fight. A guy named Oscar Grant was in the fight and was also arrested (Meyer). While Grant was being arrested by Officer Mehserle, he resisted the officer’s attempts. Since Grant was resisting he was pushed onto the ground on his stomach to be handcuffed. Johannes Mehserle was having trouble handcuffing Grant so the other BART officers helped him. When Grant was on the ground Mehserle was going to tase him since he would not stop resisting. When Mehserle thought he pulled out his TASER, he instead pulled out his gun. Mehserle accidentally shot Grant with his gun since he thought he pulled out his TASER (Bulwa).
It was powers' most nitty gritty record yet of the shooter's demise. Already, they had said just that the 26-year-old assailant murdered himself after a shootout.

After the ballistics team had come to the conclusion that the gun was probably shot from four blocks away, Detective Healey and Doug Boyle start to go on an investigation. They had went door-to-door to question others to see if they knew anything about Charlie Ward’s death. When the police stopped at Michael’s house, they had asked the McKenzie family if they owned any firearms. Michael’s dad responded with a yes and was asked if he can show them. Michael then responded that he did not currently have his Winchester and said that his friend, Joe, borrowed it. A few days later, Doug Boyle and Detective Healey came back to Michael’s house with metal detectors to search the backyard for any evidence. While searching, Doug Boyle finds an empty casing
Fifth Estate’s 40th episode, “the interrogation room”, essentially analyzes an open murder case that occurred on November the third of 2006; the murder case revolves the shooting and eventual death of a male attending named Mervyn “Mikey” Spence, at a birthday party. The case was investigated over the course of four years in which the Peel Police had made arrests, but through the use of controversial interrogation methods, were redirected to charge and imprison an innocent male named, Eric “Action” Morgan. To further justify his innocence, Morgan reveals his guests to the investigators at his party who were at the time of the shooting, ultimately be his alibi(s). However, after the witnesses being held for several hours, threatened and reprimanded, they recanted their statements and later stated that s/ he
Jeffrey Robert MacDonald was a U.S. Army officer and a medical doctor who was convicted in 1979 of murdering his pregnant wife and two daughters in February 1970. The reason why I chose this case is because this murder case is said to be one of America’s most enduring murder mysteries and the main topic of a best-selling book. Not only this, but I also chose this case because it took about 9 years for Macdonald to be finally convicted and the U.S army got involved and made their own investigation because they didn’t believe his story. This meant that this case had many twists and turns, making it a mysterious case that’s very intriguing and wanting to know more about.

Since the capture of Daley and the burning of Hall's old home, Ben Hall's whereabouts were continuing to frustrate Sir Frederick Pottinger, who was throwing all of his resources into finding Ben Hall's haunts, gleaning any information, no matter how insignificant. The last report of Hall was in company with Susan Pryor, who it would seem was escorted to the Fish River district were the gang through Gilbert had friends and family and where Susan Pryor and the child could reside in the short term or may even have moved possibly further north to Wellington, as Mary's birth was believed to have been registered there in late March 1863, after which Susan returned to Lambing Flat. Pottinger undaunted was once more on the trail and sent this telegram

On October 7, 1994 in Beckton, London, England, while Daniel Handley was working on his bicycle, he was approached by two men in a Peugeot 405, who claimed to be lost and sought direction from Daniel on their map. Meanwhile, their fantasy was to abduct a young fair haired, pre-teen buy and sexually abuse him and kill him to hide their crime. With the map placed in the back seat of their car, as Daniel leaned in to look at it, he was pushed into the car and they drove off. At their flat, both men sexually abused him while the other videoed the activity. Then, Daniel was taken to a layby by Hungerford in Berkshire and strangled to death with a rope. His body was dumped in a shallow grave near Bristol and found in March 1995. This paper is to look at why child kidnapping and abuse happened and still happens to this day. To also look at “what kind of person would take pleasure from raping and killing a ten-year-old boy?”
The type of homicide in the Simon Gittany murder case would be considered Intimate partner homicide (IPH). Intimate partner homicide is distinguished by the dynamic of the relationship between victim and perpetrator characterised by an emotional attachment, including spouse, former spouse, boyfriends, girlfriends or same sex partners (Campbell, 2007). According to the Australian Institute of Criminology, homicides involving intimate partners represent 24% of all homicides nationwide and in approximately 4 of 5 cases, the victim was female and the perpetrator was male. Simone Gittany and Lisa Cecilia Harnum lived together in a de facto relationship from 2010 on the 15th floor of a central apartment block in Sydney from where
