While viewing the “Worst ever pitch, Worst ever product on BBCs Dragons Den” video, I noticed numerous elements that contributed to an ineffective pitch. The first ineffective element I noticed right from the beginning of the video, was that the inventor presenting his idea was not enthusiastic whatsoever. You should have a certain amount of excitement and enthusiasm when pitching your idea, otherwise the “investors” won’t be as interested and it shows in this video. The inventor’s idea was to “reinvent” the traffic signs that have been in effect for a long time, which in my mind, why try to change something that is already working fine. One of the big issues I see with his presentation is the fact that outsiders are already telling him
Let me say first thank you for giving us the opportunity to evaluate your company’s operational process. It has been a tremendous experience to be in a company that started out small and grew to one of the leading businesses in the industry. CanGo does have a promising future ahead. During our evaluation over the past two weeks, we have noticed a few things that will be a problem in the future if not resolved. It seems that the company has been profitable by chance not because of planning. At this point we feel the need to work on the planning aspect and all that it entails. There are six key issues and recommendations that we have made that we know
After reviewing weeks 5 and 6 video episodes, we the business consultants have found that CanGo still has some issues that must be corrected in order to operate and function effectively. We have carefully evaluated CanGo’s issues and will be introducing them as well as providing recommendations to make corrections to help improve the company’s problem areas. The first issue was the employee evaluations; very vague. Another that we have noticed is that CanGo is expanding too quickly, another issue that follows CanGo expanding too quickly is that they lack the financial capital to grow so quick. Since they are growing, they are relocating their staff into different positions

The police thoroughly searched the property and discovered the illegal material along with the fact that she was allowing Shon refuge in her basement. However, they did so without a warrant. Dollree was sentenced one to seven years in prison. Mapp appealed her case to the Supreme Court stating the evidence that sentenced her was not found with probable cause.
An elevator pitch summarizes the features of the product, and captures the attention of the consumer and investor within a few seconds, through creatively stating the value proposition and pain statement.
A highway patrol officer in Ohio is being hailed as a hero. He saved the life of a truck driver after his semi-truck crashed. The officer's name is John Devers. There is a dash cam video that captured the accident, and the aftermath of it.
In the panyee football video, by Matt Devine the boys learned you can’t take everything for granted because the learned that you can’t take everything for granted because the boys lived on a small floating island making space hard to find, because the pitch was shaky and uneven, and lastly because the boys had no help at all. It all starts with one of the boys thinking of creating a football team. They needed a pitch but they do not have the sufficient room. They have to do something about these problems so the team can practice. Overall, I think that the boys had to practice a lot and have a lot of inner confidence in themselves to build a pitch.

Beginning from chapter seven, Pink writes about the different techniques and approaches in which the reader can influence others. The first method is by pitching, or in other words, by distilling one’s point to its persuasive essence. Pink discusses pitching because of the power and the potential it has to determine how interested someone can be towards an idea or product. If done correctly, pitching can positively influence and move people to a place where all participants are happy with the final outcome. Pink, in the book, explains the relevancy of the “elevator Pitch,” but he also offers different ways in which one can pitch an idea. For example, pitching a concept with only one word demands discipline and forces clarity, but at the end,
The Graeters video relates to what we have learned about business and change by showing us that change within a business is virtually inevitable. As times change and technology becomes more apparent, business must also change or use valuable resources to become more efficient to keep up with, or become more successful than the surrounding competition. Graeters experience with change was a bit different than that of other companies. Before technological innovations brought about the refrigerator and modern ice cream machines ice cream was a delicacy, it was something people couldn’t get every day or whenever they desired. In the times after though, many companies began to mass produce ice cream making thousands of gallons per day. Graeters
Our group took the role of being a rhetor and used our knowledge of effective advertisements and rhetorical devices to effectively fulfill our purpose: to convince the audience to buy the product that we were displaying. This product was called Tase-let, which was a mix of a stylish anklet and a taser for self protection. Our intended audience was the general public, more specifically, people that felt they were defenseless or worried of running into a situation where they would become defenseless. This campaign consisted of five different advertisements which were put on different mediums. There were three picture advertisements that were meant to be put on Facebook, Magazines, and Billboards. There was also a video advertisement and a text-heavy radio
In the “Worst ever pitch, Worst ever product on BBCs Dragons Den”, the idea is not presented in a clear, concise manner. Derek does not have any data or statistics to back up his idea. In addition, Derek does not speak clearly. There is a lot of stumbling of words. He also does not stay on his main topic as he brings up imaginary scenarios and elaborates too much on them. Also, Derek uses his limited time unwisely and loses the interest of the Dragons. Finally, Derek is not able to answer any questions effectively and becomes diffident. In the “Lee Crocket on the Digital Generation” presentation, Mr. Crocket uses clear, concise language in a relaxed and confident manner. He also backs up almost everything he states with a verbally cited source.
Throughout his presentation, Hans Rosling shows that the rich and wealthy release the most carbon emissions, but they are often the ones telling Africa or another developing country they shouldn't begin using fossil fuels and other technology because it's hurting the environment. Rosling claims that the rich end look down at the "poor" people and say, "You cannot live like us, you will destroy the planet." Technology, however, is key to progressing out of poverty and developing. As shown in his graphs, the wealthy release the most emissions, but shake their finger at developing countries that are starting to use technology and/or burn fossil fuels. An example used in the video is Africa and the coal available to them to provide warmth and light.
The monologue links to the part 4 of language and literature. This task is based on the play ‘Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare. To write a monologue based on a shakespearean play, it was essential to first fully understand the language, characterization and structure of the play. Also, it was necessary to understand the explicit and implicit meaning in a text. These deep understanding was then utilized in writing a sophisticated monologue of lady Macbeth.
I picked this topic to talk about because it's seems very interesting and it doesn't get talked about a lot like it should be, the death penalty isn't as bad like it was in the 1800. The death penalty and the prison system have changed dramatically over the year. American intellectuals were well influenced by Beccaria. The first attempt of the death penalty in the U.S. was when Thomas Jefferson established a bill amend Virginia's death penalty laws. The punishment was only to be used for crimes such as murder and treason, the law was defeated by one vote.
