I want to do something important with my life and make my time on Earth worthwhile. I want to change the world for the better, even if the only world I change is that of a bear cub. I want to rescue and rehabilitate and aid in any way I can to wild animals. My affinity for animals began at a young age. I was too young to remember the German Shepherd mix my family owned when I was born, so my first love was the Basset Hound we adopted when I was in elementary school. She was a mess and I adored laying next to her on the floor as I read or watched tv or did homework. I used to come home from school and turn on Animal Planet every single day. My favorite shows were the Crocodile Hunter and Animal Cops. I enjoyed learning about new animals and
In 1997, while bow hunting in the Ocala National Forest. I saw two large male bears eating grubs and one of them caught and begun to eat a Cotton Tail rabbit. They were approximately ½ mile from each other. It seemed like the very second that the bear with the rabbit tore it apart, I saw the other bear lift his nose to the air and was at a full run and was to the other bear within a minute. The first bear was bigger, but the second bear seemed to be hungrier and quickly took the remains of the rabbit away and out of sight. Thinking that it was a waste of time to remain in the area I returned to my jeep to head back to camp and get some lunch for myself. Upon reaching the logging road that lead to my jeep, I found large bear prints within my

Spirit Bears are actually called Kermode bears but the locals call it white bear or ghost bear. They might call it ghost bear for the fun of it but, I know it’s because of its ghost like nature. Something amazing is that scientists said they’re NOT albinos or polar bears! The odds of finding a spirit bear is 1 to 1mil.!!!
There are five traits that make up the word pride and truly make us Poly Bears. Pride in itself is good to have as a good person and worker. Pride stands for passion, respect, integrity, determination, and extraordinary. Having all of these traits is among the best to have as a student.
For some reason when water Bears dry out they turn certain parts of their body into glass
lets go with my favorite childhood possession. well it would have to be my stuffed bear and lamb set I was just a baby when I received the bear from my cousin she had given it to me when she was around 7 or 8 so it already had seen the horror of child hood and it was about to see it again. when I was about 2 I had gotten a stuffed lamb from my mom ever since that day the two have never left my side. when I was 4 I brought the lamb with me to day care and accidently ripped off the arm but my grandma gave her a "check up " and about every 2 or so years both the stuffed lamb and bear would get all fixed up new stuffing and everything. I soon began traveling back and forth between my moms house in California and my dads house in Vegas. I took the
Biology Assessment – Evolution of polar bears from brown bears Evolution is defined as a gradual change to the same species overtime to benefit their survival in certain environmental conditions. Jean-Baptise Lamarck and Charles Darwin both had theories regarding evolution and how life on Earth got to be the way it is. Lamarck’s theory of acquired characteristics means he believed that the traits that altered over an individual’s lifetime could be transferred to its offspring. His theory is, that features can be strengthened or rid of completely through use or disuse over generations. For example, if an organism extensively used a certain body part, it would become larger and stronger to adapt to that environment.
I have always been interested in the big white polar bears When I was young, if I saw a polar bear on television, in a movie, or in a magazine, I thought they were so cute. Now that I am older I realize that no matter how adorable polar bears look, these animals are not cuddly! In fact, polar bears are ferocious hunters, and are the biggest carnivores among land animals. There are three things about polar bears that I have always wanted to know the answers to. What does the polar bear eat? How large can the polar bear get? And, what is their habitat like and what do they do all day?
Tigers are amazing animals, probably the biggest cat to roam the Jungle. They are great learners, adapt to their surroundings, and accomplish anything of their main goal. They’re a little weak for when they are young, but when they are grown, they can rip you to smithereens. They can also be very sneaky, so sneaky, you can’t hear them even in a Library, they have thick paws which are very squishy to avoid making screeching noises when they stalk prey.
The animal known as the koala bear is a weird animal that has special features.
How do organisms, such as a polar bear or a cactus, survive in their environment? Each organism has certain adaptations that help them survive. What are adaptations? Adaptations are characteristics that help an organism survive in their environment. For example, a cactus has spines that reduce water loss and protects the cactus from predators. How about polar bears? How do they adapt to their environment?
Polar bears may appear white, but their fur is clear. That's why sometimes Polar bears are blue or purple. This means the water is unhealthy. Polar bears are huge, they are even at the top of the food chain. Polar bears like to eat seals as a meal to survive in places way up north.
The animal that I have chosen to study is the polar bear the Latin name for the polar bear is Urus Maritimus. They are a mammal which means that they give birth to live young and provide milk for their offspring when born (Defenders of wildlife, 2014). The polar bear is a predatory animal and is the top of the food chain in the Artic, its main consumption of food are seals (both bearded and ringed usually) they will also eat walrus and any whale carcasses that may be laying around as they are opportunistic feeders (National geographic, 2014). Polar bears travel along way in order to find their prey, however if they are not able to find the animal they need; occasionally they will eat vegetation that is available to them along the way (live science, 2014).
Lately scientists have remarked that despite polar bears’ uncanny ability to survive and thrive in freezing cold water, this unfortunately doesn’t help them in other environmental challenges. When the food supply (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antarctic_fur_seal) for polar bears decreases, they appear to be incapable of slowing down their metabolism to adapt to this changing environment. Merav Ben David, a co-author and part of a team of University of Wyoming researchers whose field in the Arctic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arctic_Ocean) was headquarters for the new report, explicated that “many colleagues, even some on our own research team, doubted whether the study was possible, until we actually did it.”
These are the three Bear necessities I’m going to tell you about , be kind, be honest, and be responsible. I hope you follow and don’t disrespect the three Bear necessities.
