Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so ask yourself who exactly is the beholder? Is is Society? Family? Friends? Or is it Yourself? In 2016, Society has defined beauty as you need to be thin, your need to be blemish free, your boobs and butt need to be big yet proportional, your hair needs to be impeccable, and any imperfections need to be done away with cosmetic procedures. Now ask yourself what do you define as beauty? The definition of beauty is a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. We look at magazines, “Hollywood”, and Tv as a guide for beauty but are they guiding us in the right direction? You decide…. As of today beauty is captured by the imagine, but back in the 14th century beauty was captured by your nose. The more nice you smelled the more beauty you were. Roman emperors were said to have slept and bathe in a world scent. Fragrances was lost in Europe after the fall of Rome, but it survived the Islamic civilization which flourished during the European Middles Ages. The Arabs and Persian perfumes used new “essential oils” containing distinctive scents of plants and animals. In today’s society fragrances are not only used to smell good but they are also used to help you relax. Fragrances can also improve your mood and help you relieve stress.
