The career in music that I want to pursue is becoming a major music producer and songwriter. My goal is to be like the major producers in the music industry and lead the sound in popular music, be able to be at a caliber of artists like Max Martin, Timbaland, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, and Jon Bellion. The steps I plan to follow to achieve this goal begin with studying music, I’d start with all kinds of music at first to get a good grasp of music structure and content. I think it's very important to fully understand how most, if not all music is made, from the chord progressions, melodies, drum patterns, vocal techniques, tones, and lyrical content that is used in each genre, especially music that is broadly liked, being able to understand …show more content…
I want to have enough ability/skill musically to be able to create and fully form the music in my head and perfectly translate it into the real world. Not only be able to fully translate what's in my head but also be able to make it commercial and be successful with the mass audience. Right now I'm currently in step one of my plan, I'm studying all kinds of music and making my music at the same time and trying to implement things into my craft and learning how to be able to make a high-quality sound. Something I hear that a lot of successful artists do is that they mass produce songs with the idea of just sharpening their skills as producers/songwriters and learning what works and what doesn’t when making a song and trying to make the next song better than the last one. After I feel like I've reached a certain quality of sound that I deem is acceptable in terms of production value and content in my production skills, I want to start collaborating with other artists for free and switch from making music for myself to making music for other …show more content…
At this point, I would want to work on music for myself. I give myself 2 years to be at this point,
This leads into step four of my plan where I'd start working on my own project, with the musical skill and connections I have at that point I'd put every resource I have into my project. Hopefully, I'm at a point where my skills and style have been sharpened to where I at least I have an idea of how to make a good song. While producing the project, I would work on gathering a team to help with the release of it. Mainly focusing on advertisement and knowing how to spread It (social media mainly because it seems like the best option.) I’d release the project for free because I don’t feel like you can release music as a new artist and have people want to pay for it in this day in age. Also collaborating with other people with followings as an artist instead of being behind the scenes of the music making. Through this form of releasing music, I feel like you’re more likely to grow an organic fan base and a devoted following. Even though I would have supposedly made songs for
Initially, I thought I wanted to be a singer but I eventually came to the realization that singing was too comment and that most singers were a dime a dozen in the industry. So I decided that in order to save on the cost of hiring producers and to have more control over the music, I’d learn how to produce music myself. I purchased my very first
“Does Mayella have power or not and why”. The small town of Maycomb Alabama turned upside down when a young lady by the name of Mayella Ewell uses her class, race, and gender to try and gain power and escape her situation. Although she failed to gain power she makes a scene and is noticed in the small town of maycomb when she is her father catches her with tom robinson who says he was trying to help her with chores is accused of raping Mayella Ewell. The trick to success is not talent it is passion, nobody is naturally talented enough to be outstanding, the only way to stand out is with practice and the only motivation to practice is passion. A large sum of people does not search for a career that they love, instead they search for a career with a large salary, by choosing the first path people can raise a great deal of money by doing better than the rest.
- I would like to work in the music industry because I can’t go a day without listening to music, it motivates me.
I propose that all unsigned rising artist should target the business side of the music industry to be successful in the entertainment business because it allows the artist to be taken seriously and make solid connections that can further his/her career. Learning the works of the music industry also enables a new artist to be further successful and profitable. Recent studies show that most new artists without professional representation and a business mindset have a slimmer chance in getting signed to major or independent labels (Lowry, 2011). Overall, the specific change needed is that unsigned artists should be concentrating on their careers as professionals and not amateurs, thus focusing on the ins and outs of the music business and
The entertainment business is always starting and stopping. You have to find a good balance between investing into your work and personal life. You never know when your last gig, job, concert will come. The consistency in your life will come from family and friends. A music career can break you emotionally. SO be confident in who you are and what you bring. Don’t make moral sacrifices to succeed in the game. That way when it’s all said and done you know you did your best and you didn’t
As a student of Full Sail University I am completing the course of Audio Production. Growing up music was always an escape for me. My childhood was not perfect and sometimes the only thing I felt that could help me escape reality was music. Knowing how to sing, rap, and produce music by the age of 16 was my get away from the world. Developing the skill without a degree is one thing. I am attending Full Sail University to further my knowledge in this area of work and to also better my skills. Music is a major industry to work in. Not stopping there I also love to have my own brands and labels with all areas of work. This is why I look up to O’shea “Ice Cube” Jackson Sr. Ice Cube has come a long way from the 90’s. From making music to
Starting a career in the music industry is a difficult task. There are many important steps that you need to take along the way, and the path is often long and confusing. The people that you meet along the way will guide you along this path, and hopefully help you become a music industry success story. The goal is to not let your message get jumbled and distorted beyond your control and lead you to disaster.
As in the famous words of Franklin D. Roosevelt, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” The fear of losing yourself can definitely make the tension between that person and their own mind become heated. There are people in this world that can control people by playing with their emotions, and they do not even have to say a word; they write them out. Edgar Allan Poe and Charlotte Perkins Gilman are very good with showing the elements of suspense, horror, and of course, tension.
So, aside from their own jobs, they began selling tamales to family and friends to help me fundraise for vocal lessons. It took a few months of dedication, but they were able to save up the money needed for the lessons. I’ve been singing along to songs of others, but I have never had the opportunity to sing a song of my own. To this day, I've written over 15 songs, some of which would possibly never make it out into the world. I came to the conclusion that my parents alone wouldn't be able to afford the expense for the release of my own music, so I took it upon myself to get a part-time job during the summer to help fund my venture. As a teenager, I used the availability of social media platforms to do my own research on finding producers/recording studios with whom I could have the pleasure of working with. I went through various producers and their work but none of them interested me, until i stumbled across a producer on YouTube who had created an instrumental that sparked something within me. I fell in love with the beat. I emailed the producer and within a week I signed an exclusive contract to make the beat officially mine. I quickly hopped onto the songwriting part of the process and along came the
Well I'm a singer so I gotta love music. For instance my family they love music.but It’s clear that for artists big or small, trying to maintain credibility while struggling to sustain a career is certainly tricky. Artists must develop an image that appeals to their fans in order to remain unique and authentic, or they risk striking the wrong chord, which could leave them struggling to sustain careers in this new business landscape. I was thinks about getting into the music career like singing but it takes a lot of deification and sacrifice becuase you have no time for school you have now time for yourself and also everybody wants to be in your business if you start advertising .This can be tremendously stressful for artists who are just starting to build their careers, as they need to spend energy creating good music and a unique image that appeals to fans. When the electronic artist
The more time you put in, the better the abilities develop. Another way of gaining knowledge of music and to get experience is to start touring with a band and get used to coming up with ideas for records. Brandon Boyd makes another statement in the article, “Brandon Boyd of Incubus” by Jancee Dunn, writer for Rolling Stone magazine. Brandon explains, “We fight a lot when we’re writing our records. You know, it’s five different opinions trying to make their way into one… Bands break up for stupid reasons” (Dunn 26). Experience is a valuable advantage in the music industry that will make one find success much easier.
Living in today’s society can be very stressful. There always seems to be someone to impress, a deadline to meet, or even everyday social situations that can cause major stress in a person’s life. If not dealt with properly this stress can evolve into a monstrous anxiety problem. Anxiety has a way of bringing down even the strongest of people. Anxiety is the most common mental illness in the United States. Anxiety Disorders Association of America or the AADA has done tests that show 18.1% of people eight-teen or older have anxiety issues. This is roughly forty million people living with this mind crippling illness. Anxiety, if not treated properly, can affect a person’s social life, professional career, and may even lead to depression.
In this article, Peterson and Berger show how the organization of the popular music industry affects the music that America hears.
time you put into a piece of music must be productive and well thought through.
