It’s always been a dream of mine to further my education. After searching all over Texas, I choose Texas State is best for me. I have pictured myself many times attending. I would like to attend this university because Texas State offers a major I am passionate about and has such a great atmosphere. I want to major in Radiology in Texas State. I am so passionate about becoming a radiologic technologist because it is a step closer to finding a cure to many things. My biggest goal is to find a cure for cancer because it has had a huge influence in my family. Since I was a kid, I promised my grandfather I would find him a way to not feel the pain that cancer brought him. With the help of my cousin, Leslie, it was easier to find majors and schools
I chose Texas A&M, because it’s simply one of the best universities in the state and the nation, especially when it comes to engineering and school spirit.
Texas Christian University, home of the horned frogs, is known for its exceptional medical department, and will give me a great education. Going to TCU will help me prepare for life after college and help me excel at my career.

Radiology Technologist have been around for almost a century. “Radiology Technologist works in various places taking diagnostic imaging examinations for patients, which are x-rays, magnetic resonance imaging, and mammography.” (eHow) This job is one of the few in the world that can give the risk of cancer to the rad-techs. And is stilled one of the most needed in the medical field. Radiology Technologist needs to understand computers and what the x-rays show, and how to set up a patient for and x-ray to be taken. Radiology Technologist are one of the highest paid in the medical field. This is because the job has more risk than any other job in the medical field. The radiology technologists have used x-rays for what has almost been in use
Overall, Texas A&M offers a great opportunity for me. Trying to get into this university alone will give me the opportunity to get better and try my hardest. I also love the fact that this school has a 20:1 student faculty ratio. I have always went to a small student faculty ratio school and I want to continue it. Last but not least, the computer science program is perfect for me. I can pursue my dream to have a job that is related with computer
My topic that I am researching is a Radiology Technician. Basically, their job is to help Physicians take x-rays and to help them out with the readings. They also perform cat scans, ultrasounds, and radiation therapy. This article informs the reader of the job duties and occupational specialties. It tells them what they need to be able to do, such as noticing detail and clearly communicating. It also provides them with educational and preparation opportunities. The training is provided and the work environment is in mainly hospitals or, if you are in combat, a mobile field hospital (#10). They need to be physically ready, able and willing to perform their duties. They have to be very alert and vigilant in trying to study and notice the
In third grade was the first time I had ever had an x-ray taken. I was mesmerized by the ability of the doctors to look at my bones through a hug machine attached to the ceiling, however I was terrified. The radiologic technologist calmed me down and distracted my attention of my broken bone by explaining the process of taking an x-ray. Ever since that day, I have wanted to be a radiologic technician to have the ability to impact patient’s life like she did mine. I want a career where I can further my education, expand my experience, and help the world around me.
I am pursuing a career as a radiologist technician due to a number of reasons. It first started with my fascination of the complexity of the human body. In high school I had no idea I wanted to go into the medical field until I took an anatomy and physiology class, and this subject fascinated me. Solving problems and seeing results is something I want out of a career. I am looking forward to the life-long learning that is involved with a job in the healthcare field. As such, I am interested in a specialization in radiology so I can continue my education and provide a higher level of care to ill patients. Caring for the well being of others has always been one of my priorities and working in radiography would create opportunities for me to provide
How does $27.94 an hour sound? And how does $58,120 a year sound? Radiologists technicians make all of that, also the need for them keeps growing so the wage keeps stacking up. The job of a radiologist technician is supposed to grow 9% before 2024. But this job isn't for anyone. Being a radiologist technician has positive and negative effects.
The University of Texas is one of the best University in Texas and I would be honored to continue my journey under such a high standard university and under the influenced of may amazing professors. UT has some of the most skilled professors in the nation that have gained so much experience through the research and pieces of literature that they have produced. Such as professor Jessica Church-Lang who has published many literature pieces, or professor Michael P Domjam who has been selected for a MERIT Award by the national Institutes of Mental Health. Additionally, all these professors come from different educational backgrounds and have many different fields that one can learn from. Hopefully, attending the university of Texas will give the opportunity to learn from these amazing professors that will led me to many opportunities in the future. Furthermore, the University of Texas has such a diverse body of students that can help me learn more about cultures and their way of life, which can lead me to understand people a little more. Even though Texas State is a great university, it does not have as many experience professors or many opportunities to grow as the University of Texas does. Therefore, I strongly believe that UT will help me achieve my goal of shaping the life’s of the children who really need
During the radiography training program, I spent two days in class and three days in clinical rotation. I rotated to two outpatient imaging centers and two hospitals. I learned how to communicate with patients, produced X-ray images, and was introduced to a growing field in medicine. I shadowed and assisted physicians with X-ray equipment in emergency rooms and operating rooms.
After I graduate high school I would like to go to college to study Radiologic Science. It would be ideal for me to stay in Missouri to do that so my “dream college” that I would like to attend the most would be Mizzou. Mizzou is known for its School of Medicine and has a very good ranking against other schools. There are a lot of different classes to choose from so a student could choose to get a broader understanding of the field or focus on a certain part of it. There program also teaches the students social skills, how to communicate with students, and make proper observations. I could apply to the Radiology program my Sophomore year at Mizzou after I finish all of my prerequisite classes. For me to get accepted into Mizzou, my best option
My biggest inspiration in choosing my career path was getting a summer job. This past summer I had the opportunity of working in the radiology department at Opelousas General. I got the chance to experience what Radiologist, Rad techs, Nuclear Med Techs, MRI techs, CT techs and Ultrasound techs tasks are like on a daily basis. My job was to assist the transporters when getting patients in the hospital for either an x-ray, ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine test, CT or MRI. As a summer student at OGHS, I got to communicate with different techs about their experiences. Being a Radiology and Sonography major I asked lots of questions about their job and I learned lots of things I never knew about this field of medicine. Some things I have learned is
My goal is to become a bioscience technician and devote my career to research and development of healthcare technologies, in hopes of innovating something that will improve human health in less fortunate areas of the world. My
